URANUS IN TAURUS

Can you feel the electricity in the Air? Uranus, the Awakener meets the Sun in Taurus today for the first time since 1941.

Taurus is a powerful yet stabilizing sign associated with the land and nature. It’s an embodied and fixed (read stubborn, enduring, loyal) Earth sign, associated with being deeply rooted in the material experience. Security, stability, acquiring land and the pleasure that can be derived from our material surroundings wether this is done through growing a beautiful garden, cooking a delicious meal or nurturing the body is what Taurus is about.

Taurus’s experience of pleasure is directly linked through the 5 senses and therefore Taurus is extra sensitive to what surrounds her. Living in a beautiful setting can become a powerful drive for Taurus rustic spirit and some of the primary concerns of this sign is calm, stability and pleasure.

Enters Uranus

Uranus is a ground breaking power that disrupts the status quo and bring surprising evolutionary leaps often brought on by destabilizing factors.

Astrologers have already speculated extensively on what the transit of Uranus traveling in the Earth sign of Taurus for the next 8 years will mean. From lab-grown meat to an increase in ecological concerns, Uranus should bring a new level of ecological awareness brought on by the dire circumstances we are now facing with nature.

On a more personal level, people with a heavy dose of Taurus planets will experience small revolutions in their lives which could propel them to a new level of awareness and a shifting of priorities. When the most stable sign of the zodiac meets with the most destabilizing and ground-breaking planet of the zodiac, we can expect interesting and unexpected twists of faith in the lives of these natives.

Here in Newfoundland, it is suppose to go up to 16ºC today and by tomorrow night a snow storm is predicted. Snow is not uncommon for Newfoundland around this time of year, but I think we will definitely see more extreme manifestations of weather patterns in the next 8 years with Uranus traveling in this Earth sign associated with the land.

With Uranus traveling here, our direct experience of nature and how our materialistic drive is damaging the Earth should and most likely will become a a driving factor in finding innovative solutions.

Time to wake up and smell the roses!

Happy Earth day and Taurus season🌱

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 11, 2019

FIRST HALF OF THE WEEK FROM MONDAY TO THURSDAY:

The big aspect permeating the first part of the week is the Mars-Uranus conjunction happening on Wednesday in the sign of Aries.

Mars: Libido, courage, assertion, will-power, anger.
Uranus: Breakthroughs, breakdowns, revolutions, liberations, rebellions, innovations.

When 2 planets are together their meaning tend to fuse for the duration of the conjunction.

Uranus is currently on the last degree of Aries and won’t be back in Aries for 84 years. Uranus enters Taurus on March 6th signalling the beginning of a new cycle. This week could bring some great insights into the last decade and how far you have come. Think back of the unexpected changes that took place in your life since 2010 and how it has informed the last 10 years.

The Mars-Uranus conjunction is not great for trying to stabilize dysfunctional structures, systems, relationships but its excellent to revolutionize them. Mars and Uranus together brings intensity and the desire for freedom.

Innovative ideas and flashes of insights are floating around but they might not come from where you expect them. Imagine a highly volatile current running through the first part of the week. Where you decide to ”plug-in” could determine some of your experience. Technology and innovations are highlighted.

Since we are talking about a highly volatile aspect, its important to keep in mind that this could also show up as unexpected breakdowns and turn of events. Be mindful when driving and stay away from dramatic people as things could escalate quicker than usual. There might also be some weird funky stuff happening around technology, and written or spoken communication.

If you have felt restricted or limited in some ways, the next couple of days could bring a culmination, breakthrough and liberation in these regards.

This is a ”bridge” week so just keep moving forward, keep an open mind and roll with it. There is no turning back!

This week begins with the first quarter Moon in Taurus and it’s a good time to power through some of the ideas and projects that were initiated at the beginning of the month. Monday morning, Venus in Capricorn lends a supportive trine to the Moon and the next two days can be spent plowing away at mundane tasks. The emphasis of planet in Earth signs to begin the week helps us plan and organise our week and brings attention to the physical side of our lives. The Moon enters Gemini on Wednesday morning and you might want to lay off the coffee and do some work with your hands to remediate tension.

Mercury just entered the sign of Pisces on Sunday, and will remain here for the next 2 months. Mercury will retrograde in Pisces March 5 to March 28 but you might already start noticing some of the effect of Mercury being in Pisces.

Pisces tends to diffuse and confuse the Mercury functions (thinking, communication). It might be harder to communicate clearly and efficiently during this time but the next 2 months highlights a period of unruly creative and intuitive flow.

NEW MOON @ 19º SAGITTARIUS Friday December 11 2015 at 5:29 AM EST

Passenger what are you searching for
What is this longing I see in your gaze
Unknown shadows are dancing in your eyes
In the distant regions of your heart
Something is calling
to be born
The ride has been arduous
But you’ve held on
With everything that you had
You made it this far

You have learned the rhythms of your pain
You can recite them in your sleep
You built a temple and gave thanks to your fears
Laboured at the feet of giants
for a meager return

You found a key for the wrong door and you kept searching

Like a pilgrim looking in the distance
You can see the road ahead
There is no signs, no oasis and no one
But a vision
guiding your steps

one by one

Traveler where are you going?
