Lion Heart

Leo season represent the coming of the high growing time which reflects the abundant generosity of life. Leo is a Fire sign. In astrology, the element of Fire is associated with an ardent and passionate nature, a strong will and enthusiasm. In medical astrology Leo is associated with the heart, aorta, chest, spine, spinal column and upper back.

The key phrase for Leo is “I will”.

Leo represents majesty, power and dignity and the person with a strong leonine signature will be ambitious, courageous, positive, creative, generous and self-confident. The Sun is the planet associated with Leo and without the Sun we would not be here. Which gives us another layer of interpretation for the sign and maybe why some astrologer like to say that Leo people are self-centered! Leo is often compared with the heat or creative energy of the Sun.

I have met a lot of people with Leo on the ascendant (Leo rising) who are performers, actors or involved in some form of creative expression that puts them in the spotlight.

Just like the Sun provides us with life and warmth, the heart at the center of our being provides us with inner guidance, creativity and clarity when we let it shine.

Excerpt from the book: ”Moon, Moon”- by Anne Kent Rush

”In the commentary on Kanhupada’s Dohakosha, it is said that the moon is born of the semen virile and the sun of the ovum. The common names for ida and pingala in Hindu and Buddhist tantras are Sun and Moon. The essence of the Moon is blood. The Sammohana-tantra says that the nadi on the left is the moon because of it’s gentle nature; the nadi on the right is the sun because it’s nature is aggressive. The Hathayoga pradipika compares them to night and day. Ida and pingala convey the prana and the apana. The former is Rahu, the Asura who swallows the moon. Apana is the fire of time, Kalagni. By using the specified ritual principle breaths and the principle subtle channels, one can destroy time.”

The Exaltation of the Sun

We are still in the season of Aries:

Fire + Will Power + Trail Blazing!

It is all available to you. Aries is considered the first sign of the Zodiac. It is associated with Spring, Growth, Individuality, the Ego, the planet Mars which means that Aries is more intuitive and instinctual than intellectual.
The Ram also symbolizes the courage and boldness to follow ones creative urges.

On April 8/9 we have Jupiter in Leo going direct. For more on Jupiter going direct read this great article from Ichrak at Atlas Astrology: http://atlasastrology.com/…/jupiter-stations-direct-april-…/

While Jupiter will be moving forward in the fire sign of Leo, the Sun will also be at 19 degrees of Aries, in the exact degree of its exaltation. There are 360 degrees in the Zodiac and each degree holds a unique meaning or message to add layer to our interpretation.
An exaltation means that the planet is comfortable and finds easy expression. The Sun (ruler of Leo) represents vitality, spirit and individuality and therefore when traveling through Aries will be most comfortable finding motivation, courage and determination.

So if you have been holding off to get started on a creative idea you might get the celestial kick needed. There are potent firery energies available.

Here is the Sabian Symbol interpretation of the 19º of Aries from Dane Rhudyar:

”THE “MAGIC CARPET” OF ORIENTAL IMAGERY”

this_is_theThiefofBagdadPoster_original

KEYNOTE: The use of creative imagination.

”A way of life refusing a hectic involvement in social competition and waste-producing overproduction allows for the development of unattached and transcendent understanding. The static floor (carpet) on which man’s feet (symbols of understanding) rest can become transformed into the means for great flights of imagination and super-physical perception. The period of rest from outwardly directed activity bound to collective normality presents the creative mind with the possibility of surveying in dreams the totality of the present-day social situation, thus “to see whole.”

Divine Rights

The Moon is in Leo for two days…

In Astrology, Leo is associated with royalty, the lion being the ”king of beasts” and throughout history a powerfull symbol of sovereignty and nobility. Leo is a fire sign ruled by the Sun and there is an ambitious and ardent vitality behind their desire to be the voice of reason. The solar sign is imbued with an authority that sometimes can be interpreted as arrogance but it is a natural confidence and nobility of character that motivates the lion.

Loyal friends they will demonstrate their affection in a warm and generous manner. Compliments can get you far with someone who has alot of Leo in their birth chart. Secretly these big kittens revel in being loved and worshipped. Demonstrations of your total submission is one sure way of getting the royal treatment.

Fire is the word of the day with so many planets including the Sun in Aries combine with the Moon in Leo.
