Weekend of October 6-8: Let the soft animal of your body

After the dynamic Full Moon in Aries of the last few days, the Moon is heading for the green pastures of Taurus from Friday night to Sunday night (EST). Basically 50 hours of the Moon being in the sign of its exaltation. With Venus and Mars still tightly conjunct in Virgo, the weekend brings us back down to Earth and into our bodies. Taurus AND Virgo are Earth signs; the focus shifts to logistic and practicalities in our lives.

There are a few ways we can handle this Earthy weekend. Venus in Virgo which rules the Moon in Taurus will be square to Saturn all weekend. We could spend the next 2 days worrying about social status, the material side of reality, focusing on what is lacking, worrying about money, work and everything that still needs to be done before we are happy, successful and, perfect.

Resources could be a concern and the next 2 days are excellent for managing them and for organizing your projects and schedule. Just don’t get too obsessive about it. Patience for the process will go a long way.

The next 2 days also support self-care, stretching, hiking, creative projects and crafts, spending time in nature and cooking. Listen to what your body is telling you and find the right measure of pragmatism and relaxation. Over-indulgence and sensuality are strongly indicated and the Moon in Taurus is always good for spending time in the kitchen. If you have been planning to make preserves from the Fall harvest, this weekend is the perfect time for it.

Fall Equinox: An unacknowledge feeling of specialness

The Sun just moved into Libra and the Moon is in Aquarius.

Libra and Aquarius are both Air signs which favor intellect and reflection above emotional display. But if we scratch the surface, we can see that the appearances are deceiving at the moment.

The ruler of Libra is Venus. Venus is in the sign of Leo a Fixed Fire sign.
Both the traditional ruler of Aquarius: Saturn and its modern ruler: Uranus are also in Fire signs. Saturn just moved into Sagittarius a Mutable Fire sign and Uranus is in the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries.

We could be maintaining an air of polite detachment while some big internal changes are happening.
We could also feel like we are unjustly being excluded from the action. The desire for warmth exchange, community and friendship might be strong but it doesn’t come easily. Our specialness is left unrecognized. A sense of isolation or frustration around not being seen for who we are.

We are prompt to stay cool-headed and diplomatic to keep the relationships that we have. Wanting real communication while simultaneously not being able to say everything. The want for company and partnership is strong but the wish to have it our way might be stronger.

The amount of egoic desires we bring in our relationships might determine their quality.

We are walking the line between participation and exclusion. And you might be the one excluding yourself or burning bridges.

The conversation is also happening on a collective scale. Heated debates and words like: ”alien” is use to describe migrants and refugees. There is a need to find creative ways to deal with the global community.

Who belongs where and who was here first? Races and religions are at the forefront. How long can we stay diplomatic? The need to discard some old dogmatic beliefs has come. This is a period of change and the best way to deal with change is by staying flexible. It is important to  remember our role as individuals in affecting those changes whether it is in the choices we make as consumers or in our contribution to society.

Beyond the frontiers of dogma,

there is an unrestrained freedom

but to get there, you have to forget about

Satrurn retrograde

Saturn is stationary at 4º of Sagittarius and will start it’s retrograde motion tomorrow until the 1 of August.

What does it mean?
This means that instead of progressing forward through the zodiac, Saturn will be backing up. It’s a visual illusion, but a meaningful and measurable one.

But what does it mean for me?

How this will affect you personally depends on alot of factors. First of all, where Saturn goes retrograde in your natal chart will highlights the areas of your life that needs solidification, better structures, and a realistic plan.

How are you spending your time?

We only have a very limited window here on earth to build the life we want for ourselves. But it takes hard work to get there. Are you willing to do the hard work that it takes to concretize your visions in the ”real world”?

Where can you be more realistic? Where can you establish better structures and boundaries? Where are you waisting your time and where should you say no to get more yeses in the long run?

It is a time to revisit our commitments and responsibilities. Saturn doesn’t work well with procrastination.

Saturn is about rolling up your sleeves, and doing the hard work.

With maturity also comes mastery.

Devotion, transcendance and dissolution

The current astrological weather has the potential to infuse our perceptions with a dreamlike quality. You could find yourself dedicated to a higher ideal (Saturn in Sagittarius) or having faith in something which hasn’t been made ”real” yet.

Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces is like the thousand faces of a headless god, elusive but powerfull. One minute you are sure footed the next you are submerge by indescribable sensations, seeing with the eyes of a poet, a prophet, a drunk. Your judgment skewed by the intoxication of an idea, a lover, a substance, an experience. Information is pouring in from all sources, where is it coming from?
