WEEK OF FEBRUARY 18, 2019

SUN IN PISCES

Today at 18:04 ET, the Sun enters the Mutable Waters of Pisces signalling not only the ending of Winter in 31 days but also the end of the Zodiac.

Pisces is considered the last sign of the Zodiac with the beginning of the Zodiac marked at zero degree of Aries; the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere.

Pisces season is a season of change, ending and mouvement although the stirring is happening from deep within. Piscean Waters are bottomless and these waters hides the dreaming soul of the World…and beyond. Pisces is not so much concerned with the material world. Its real wisdom resides in the imaginal, creative and spiritual realms where Spirit surrender itself to the endless visions and doorways that arise from within.

This Pisces season should be particularly poignant/inspirational/subliminal/poetic/transcendant with Jupiter in Sagittarius ruling over the Sun and Mercury retrograding in Pisces for most of March.

A great time for artist and creativity, dream journaling and explorations, an excellent time to reconnect with a contemplative/meditative practice and exploring various healing modalities, energy work, past life regression.

Not a great time for pragmatic, rational and efficient mode of operations.

During this next month, escapist tendencies, victim mindsets, or crucifying yourself for a lost cause, could feel harder to manage.

If you struggle with addictions of any kinds (love, sex, food, drugs, internet, alcool) it might become super obvious or harder to manage during Pisces season. It might actually be a good period of time to get to the roots of your addictions, your victim/saviour patterns and explore your unconscious motivations without judgment. You can look to where Pisces sits in your chart to understand where these dynamics might play out in your life.

Overall, I like to think that Pisces season is a good season for compassion, cleansing, healing, empathy, giving (without depleting yourself), doing some charity work and letting go a little bit of the tight grip of materialism, of ego, of competition, while getting to the core of what is truly important in this short amount of time we are given. Make a difference by learning to love yourself and others, find the silver lining in the difficult spiritual lessons life has brought you. Be willing to transcend, heal, change, be flexible and surrender, learn detachment during this powerful time.

Sun in Pisces/Moon in Capricorn: Inspired Discipline

249e27bf2d302c8b135c846f677e18e3

The Sun is in Pisces conjunct the Tail of the Dragon and the Moon is in the sign of Capricorn. We might be revisiting time-tested ideas that prove to be better than their modern versions. Something from the past could come back for revision or be revived. We could also find ourselves appreciating the craftsmanship of our ancestors and be inspired by the quality of objects from the past.

With the Moon in Capricorn, it’s a good day to get work done and find some discipline. Since the Sun in Pisces and Neptune will receive a sextile from the Moon in Capricorn, work that requires a certain amount of creativity and inspiration should benefit.

Full Moon in Pisces: Naked in a dream

13909399_1235988186433675_5452608086241721521_o

On Friday September 16 the Moon in Pisces conjunct Chiron moments before the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse.  This is a slippery spot in the month and I imagine the days leading to the eclipse  (read: this week) will also be like finding ourselves naked in a dream. Our weakness and insecurities could be showing up in unexpected places. Old patterns emerging without rational explanation, feeling defensive and taking things personally. If you are doing good, then you are one of the lucky ones who can be a lighthouse for those who are sailing the storm. Since this Full Moon is on the South Node (which is why it is an eclipse) we can anticipate the days leading up to it to be filled with a sense of déjà vu. It could also be that we go back to old stomping grounds, reconnect with people from our past or that we find ourselves nostalgic over something from days gone by.

”The wound is the place where the light enters you” -Rumi

When you combine the South Node of the Moon and Chiron in Pisces you get salt in your wounds.

Healing can hurt, it gets itchy and we want to pick at the scabs. This Full Moon is a bit like that. It is also like trying to hold on to something that is overripe or almost moldy; it bruises easily and you get your hands dirty, it might even stink a little.  But rotten things make excellent compost. Just don’t handle the rot/manure for too long.

Create space between yourself and your reactions

”Whatever happens around you, don’t take it personally…Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves. All people live in their own dream, in their own mind; they are in a completely different world from the one we live in. When we take something personally, we make the assumption that they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our world on their world.” -Miguel Ruiz

What you are letting go now or what has reached a point of saturation is serving as fertiliser for the future. You might feel like simmering in your stew a bit longer. You might think that going back to your old ways would be safer. It could be that an important chapter is closing but you can’t quite see around the corner. Whichever way you decide to navigate this narrow canal, know that there is no turning back.  Tie yourself to the mast of your boat while the Moon passes in the earth’s shadow and looses her light. An era is definitely over and you get the confirmation if you can stand the darkness for a brief moment. If you have personal planets in the last 10 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) this Full Moon will affect you more significantly.

Safe passage

We are building up to the first eclipse of the season that happens on March 8 or 9 (depending where you are) @ 19 degrees of Pisces.

If you live in North America, you won’t be able to see this eclipse.
Does it mean you won’t be able to feel it?

A Solar eclipse is a significant marker. If you have personal planets (Sun, Moon) or if your Ascendant is in any of the mutable signs (Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces) and especially between 14 and 24 degrees this particular Solar eclipse could indicate the closure and/or the beginning of something new influencing the next several months. A Solar Eclipse is like a very special New Moon containing a potent seed.

Flexibility is your best asset right now as things can change very quickly. There is no need to jump to any conclusion since there could be more changes before March is over. One of the reasons for this is the many planets currently transiting through mutable signs.
Mutable signs in astrology are associated with the transitional phases between seasons. Gemini represents the transition from spring to summer, Virgo from summer to fall, Sagittarius from fall to winter and Pisces from winter to spring. These signs are also associated with flexibility, changeability and adaptability.

The down side of mutability is a tendency to get scattered in all directions.
It is important to stay realistic about what we can get done right now since we might end up not finishing what we start. There is a possibility of getting overwhelmed by all the responsibilities down the road. Keeping it simple is your best bet!

Sun in Scorpio ★ Moon in Pisces

The Sun will be leaving the sign of Libra and entering the baptismal waters of Scorpio this afternoon. Meanwhile, the Moon is in early Pisces doubling the water signature.

In astrology, the water element symbolises deep emotions and the realm of intuition. The water signs are known for their sensitive disposition. Being in tune with the deeper dimensions of life also means picking up the subtleties and nuances that many others don’t notice. And with that knowledge, comes vulnerability. There is a secretive quality to the water signs and most have deep emotional undercurrents that are not visible. The need to protect themselves is very strong. The feeling responses can go from compulsive passions to overwhelming sadness.

Pay attention to your dreams.  The power of the unconscious mind is like water.

What is lurking beneath the surface?

Mercury in Pisces, the taps are open…

With Mercury in Pisces at the moment, some of the answers you are looking for might come to you in dreams.

Pay special attention to the symbols dancing around behind the curtains at night. Missing puzzle pieces or burried images resurfacing to help you conclude old stories are best understood intuitively. Don’t bother passing it through the mechanical wheels of the left brain. Just feel the images pass through you, like you would with music.

Neptune and the dress

two-dresses

On Febuary 25, social medias were taken by storm with a debate that somewhat altered our vision of what is real in our collective consciousness. The story of the dress first appeared on Tumblr by a user named ‘‘swiked’’ who said that her friends could not agree on its colors. Some said that it was gold and white, others insisted that it was black and blue. Soon after that, the debate went viral.

What is interesting to note, is that on that same day, the Sun was applying to conjunct Neptune with the exact conjunction happening the following day at 7 degrees of Pisces. Neptune takes approximately 164 years to come full circle. It is currently in Pisces the sign that it governs so it is ‘’at home’’ and it will remain in that sign until 2024.

Neptune is associated with dissolving boundaries, creating illusions, the subjective perception of reality, self-deception, ambiguity, vagueness, fog, projection and confusion. Neptune’s realm is all encompassing and vanishingly subtle. It dissolves the fragile structures of our perceptions bringing us back to a timeless and mysterious source where we drink from the well of the anima mundi. As for the Sun it is associated with the conscious ego and the creative spark. It is masculine or yang in essence and it is the giver of life and at the center of our solar system. It allows us to exist here on earth.

The debate over the colour of the dress, illustrates perfectly what happens when the Sun enters the fog of Neptune like it did with the conjunction of Febuary 26. What is the REAL colour of this dress? What is REAL? How do I know that what I see is actually there and not imagined?

A series of articles ensued with various theory as to WHY not everyone could agree on the colour. Some stated that it was due to the colour settings of their computers while others said it was an optical illusion. There even was a theory about an Illuminati conspiracy aimed at distracting us. It was finally agreed (with scientific expertise) that it had something to do with individual perception of colours and that the dress was actually black and blue…or was it really…?

More importantly, what this debate brought to us collectively is the awarness of individual experience in shaping our reality. It has made us question and reflect on the nature of our perception. The beautifully orchestred dance of the Sun joining with Neptune on that day reflected sychronistically within our own collective and individual psyche.

Venus moves into Pisces:::::January 27 to Febuary 20th

Venus moves into purifying waters, giving us blessings of compassionate love. This is a interlude into the intemporal beauties of a higher nature. We adorn her by worshipping her etheral forms like a selfless lover living on the dream of the beloved alone. In Pisces, Venus wants nothing more than for you to sacrifice your lower instinct for the ultimate communion of your soul into ecstatic bliss. After all she is exalted here. On a practical level, this means cultivating your ideals, feeding your imagination with music and poetry, practicing compassion. Gentle yet sublime.

Devotion, transcendance and dissolution

The current astrological weather has the potential to infuse our perceptions with a dreamlike quality. You could find yourself dedicated to a higher ideal (Saturn in Sagittarius) or having faith in something which hasn’t been made ”real” yet.

Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces is like the thousand faces of a headless god, elusive but powerfull. One minute you are sure footed the next you are submerge by indescribable sensations, seeing with the eyes of a poet, a prophet, a drunk. Your judgment skewed by the intoxication of an idea, a lover, a substance, an experience. Information is pouring in from all sources, where is it coming from?

Here are exemples that reflects the astrological landscape:

-Personal boundaries  or the lack of.

-Devotion to something higher.

-Getting lost in a lover, getting lost in music.

-The desire to get intoxicated just because.

-A feeling of peace.

-Lucid dreaming.

-Doubt followed by certainty followed by doubt…

-Deep gratitude for the insights.
