The Sun enters Aquarius on Tuesday and the First Quarter Moon in Taurus arrives on Wednesday triggering the Mars/Uranus conjunction which is exact Wednesday evening in the East. We can expect this First Quarter Moon to highlight inherent tensions that have been building up since the end of 2020.
We are being challenged by the new forms and awareness emerging and it may be nearly impossible to reconcile our budding desires with our immediate restrictions at this time while we try to give our visions and obligations equal importance.You can look at the areas where Aquarius and Taurus sits in your chart to gain some perspective. The week begins with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon void of course in Libra until it enters Scorpio late Monday evening. Monday is a (parenthesis) before the week officially begins and an opportunity to sharpen our tools for the work that lays ahead of us. A necessary period of inner refinement, adjusting our compass and vision as we find ourselves oscillating between our instinctual-desire-nature and our rational-pragmatic-intellect.

The First Quarter Moon is a time of action or crisis when the plans that were laid at the New Moon in Virgo on the 30th of August are being challenged or are starting to gain traction. This First Quarter Moon brings attention to our big idea or vision and the execution of this particular vision or idea. We have to trust that we will get there but we also have to put in the efforts required to get there.
Perspective gets lost when we spend too much time on the details (Virgo). However it can also be hard to execute a big idea if we don’t delineate a practical way to get there (Sagittarius). You could feel overwhelmed by the amount of preparation necessary for the execution of your idea/goal, losing perspective on where you were going it in the first place. THE PROCESS
With the Sun’s ingress into the Earth sign of Virgo, we begin the process of sorting out what needs tending. Virgo season brings our attention and focus on the many task that lays ahead of us, illuminating what needs to be organized, smoothed, resolved and eliminated for us to find proper footing. With the heavy influence of the Earth element in the next few weeks, our attention will be on the practical and tangible ways in which we can establish order in our daily lives and in our bodies. Simplifying, streamlining, and putting back the tools in their proper place, becoming aware of all the little ways in which we are not yet fully efficient, proficient and perfect. Anxiety is a shadow that looms large over Virgoan-type people, for there is always ways in which one can improve themselves, and this process is never done. Quality resides in the critical eye for better or for worst. THE MATERIAL
This year, we have a tight alignment of planets in the sign of Virgo which does not happen every year. This should greatly intensify the influence of the sign on our daily lives. SPIRIT Passion burns hot this week as we move deeper into Leo season and straight into the heart of summer. Mercury re-enters the Lion’s den on Sunday at 15:45 EDT after having turned retrograde here in Leo before moving back into the sign of Cancer for most of July. If there is still a faint tinged of longing permeating our minds this week, it will definitely subside by Sunday. The radio stations which until now played a series of nostalgic and sappy songs will now be showcasing ”The Greatest Hits of all Time”. Mercury can be persuasive in the sign of Leo especially when supported by Jupiter. If you have to sell your salad ( convince someone), now and in the next few weeks is a good time to do so. You can expect however that everyone at the market will also have the best salad to sell; you could find yourself shouting in order to be heard.
The Fixed season of Leo is a time of conviction and this year Jupiter in Sagittarius is boosting the signal. Money and relational matters could be shifting or needing readjustment. It’s a good time to delineate clear boundaries and manage your time. Venus in Aries favour doing it by yourself as oppose to waiting for someone to come along. The mood is sort of ruthless in that regard. Saturn is sitting at 20º of Capricorn and is just about to turn retrograde until September 18, 2019. Saturn is also currently conjoined with the South Node of the Moon and will continue to work closely with the Tail end of the Dragon creating a sort of ”purging vortex”.
Saturn turning retrograde this week will surely create more awareness of the limits you have to contend with, your burdens, and maybe even a sense of scarcity or a lack of something whether this is material or emotional. The South Node of the Moon represents a point of saturation and more extensively a point of spiritualization where things which have reached this point of saturation can finally expire and return to the void.
Saturn in Capricorn is the limitations contained within our ambitions.
At the core, Saturn conjunct the South Node brings us face to face with our own mortality and the ephemeral nature of material reality. This in turn can create a lot of anxiety and fears around your body, your health, aging, your financial situation or social status, control and the lack of control, the dire state of our ecosystem, our political system, and a general sense of uneasiness with the physical and the material world. This is an opportunity to get to the roots of some of the reasons you do what you do, and open a dialogue with letting go and more extensively with your own mortality.
This aspect is part of a larger pattern taking us late into the year 2020. We are undergoing massive structural shifts, and this will be translated by a lucid awareness of what is not sustainable. Saturn conjunct the South Node can also give us insights into what is corrupted, what is rotting away, where there is sickness and the need to really purge the excess and simplify whether this is related to the material, emotional or spiritual.
Saturn retrograde for the next 4.5 months will colour the threads we hold in our hands perhaps requiring us to untangle them before we can continue weaving the patterns in our lives. In the long run, this is not a negative process even though it is asking us to face some darkness and dissatisfaction on a personal and societal level right now.

The Sun is now officially in the sign of Taurus but it won’t be a traditional Taurus season. Uranus the planet associated with awakening and revolution is in Taurus for the next 8 years and this week, the Sun will be conjunct Uranus bringing surprises and disruptions and especially agitating or tickling for people who have planets in the first degrees of the Fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius.
Venus, the ruling planet of Taurus is in the individualist sign of Aries and will conjunct Chiron Tuesday and Wednesday.
This is a ”going it alone” mood even though participation and collaboration might be required. There is a strong urge to do things independently from the crowd right now and you might feel less inclined to look for approval preferring to do things on your own either out of woundedness or simply lack of patience for other people’s bullshit.

Because of the South Node of the Moon also currently in Capricorn, there is a process of digging deep into ancestral patterns and deconstructing patterns of behaviour associated with trauma in order to move forward. If you have important planets between 23 and 20 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) this will be more significant for you.
Friday and for most of the weekend, the Moon will be in Aquarius and its also the last quarter moon. The ideas and projects that were initiated at the beginning of the month will be tested and a need for adjustements might be necessary in order to move forward with them.
