The Moon is in Pisces and will meet Neptune later tonight. This can be both mystical and transcending as the Sun (in Scorpio) and the Moon are in deeply intimate waters right now. We could feel more impressionable and inspired with our attention turned towards spiritual matters.
Tomorrow night, the Moon in Pisces will conjunct Chiron and trigger the Chiron/Saturn square, just in time for Halloween.
The Chiron/Saturn square is the big signature aspect this week and it is both difficult and rewarding. We could be aware of old wounds while also being ready to move on from that space of hurt.
This aspect is a mixture of realization around painful truth and healing. You could feel sensitive and self-conscious of your downfalls while experiencing some closure around them. It’s like having the raw awareness of where it hurts in order to locate the pain, forgive yourself and hopefully move on.
It’s hard and edgy but also rewarding if you make the effort to be honest with yourself. It calls for maturity around our most vulnerable selves.
“I said: what about my eyes?
He said: Keep them on the road.
I said: What about my passion?
He said: Keep it burning.
I said: What about my heart?
He said: Tell me what you hold inside it?
I said: Pain and sorrow.
He said: Stay with it.
The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
On Friday September 16 the Moon in Pisces conjunct Chiron moments before the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse. This is a slippery spot in the month and I imagine the days leading to the eclipse (read: this week) will also be like finding ourselves naked in a dream. Our weakness and insecurities could be showing up in unexpected places. Old patterns emerging without rational explanation, feeling defensive and taking things personally. If you are doing good, then you are one of the lucky ones who can be a lighthouse for those who are sailing the storm. Since this Full Moon is on the South Node (which is why it is an eclipse) we can anticipate the days leading up to it to be filled with a sense of déjà vu. It could also be that we go back to old stomping grounds, reconnect with people from our past or that we find ourselves nostalgic over something from days gone by.
”The wound is the place where the light enters you” -Rumi
When you combine the South Node of the Moon and Chiron in Pisces you get salt in your wounds.
Healing can hurt, it gets itchy and we want to pick at the scabs. This Full Moon is a bit like that. It is also like trying to hold on to something that is overripe or almost moldy; it bruises easily and you get your hands dirty, it might even stink a little. But rotten things make excellent compost. Just don’t handle the rot/manure for too long.
Create space between yourself and your reactions
”Whatever happens around you, don’t take it personally…Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves. All people live in their own dream, in their own mind; they are in a completely different world from the one we live in. When we take something personally, we make the assumption that they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our world on their world.” -Miguel Ruiz
What you are letting go now or what has reached a point of saturation is serving as fertiliser for the future. You might feel like simmering in your stew a bit longer. You might think that going back to your old ways would be safer. It could be that an important chapter is closing but you can’t quite see around the corner. Whichever way you decide to navigate this narrow canal, know that there is no turning back. Tie yourself to the mast of your boat while the Moon passes in the earth’s shadow and looses her light. An era is definitely over and you get the confirmation if you can stand the darkness for a brief moment. If you have personal planets in the last 10 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) this Full Moon will affect you more significantly.
Safe passage xx

Venus/South Node in Pisces at the moment. Have some compassion for yourself. It can feel like a strange mixture of love and disgust all at once. Some ugliness will surface and that’s fine. It’s a bit confusing and it might seem like the light is there but somehow just out of reach. Tolerance and patience for whatever state of mind you find yourself in will help. No need to jump to conclusion about your shortcomings or some other imagined faults. It might hurt a little but there is no need to nail yourself to the cross. You’re going to be ok.
The Aries season is officially on. The return of the light for us here in the northern hemisphere means the return of life. Everything is slowly waking up, including us. The urge is to forge ahead, break new ground and create a new set of circumstances. You could feel like you are full of new ideas/momentum for the future and ready to go! You might also feel like things are not moving fast enough.
Venus is lingering in the sign of Pisces triggering the recent eclipse material and she will conjunct Chiron on Wednesday. There is a need to integrate older material (crap) that surfaced or perhaps completely let it go. Venus in Pisces support us in doing so with full awareness and compassion not only for ourselves but for others. It’s a great week to integrate past hurts without staying stuck in the quagmire.
This is definitely a time of evolution so don’t linger too long in your wounds but move with the awareness of why you are doing what you do and where you are going. Take the time to process your recent realisations or experiences. You can forge ahead towards new territories, but still very much be fueled by the past and by what came before. Remember WHY you are doing what you do and this will help you progress.
The Jupiter/Saturn square is still on – slowing down progress and asking us for a full detailed report. Advancement is possible but it has to be slow and deliberate.
In a broader sense there is a clash between philosophical/political/religious/spiritual ideas and a general cacophony of voices on the public stages. The urge to take a strong stance to defend our beliefs is definitely one signature of this Jupiter/Saturn square.
Whatever transitional space you find yourself in, remember that perspective and flexibility are your best assets and stay cool.

With the upcoming Full Moon in Virgo on the 22nd of February and more extensively with the transit of Jupiter in Virgo and the Nodes of the Moon on the Virgo/Pisces axis, where most of the eclipses will happen this year it seems like anxiety is on everyone’s lips.
Chronic anxiety has become a modern epidemic affecting millions of people. We can never be good enough for the standards of perfection. The pressure is to be productive, efficient, beautiful, healthy, active, successful, driven but relaxed AND happy. How is it even possible to breath through this type of burden? With the increasing speed of life through technology, we are wired, stimulated and constantly comparing ourselves to an imagined standard of perfection. This is a very cruel and deceitful game.
Putting pressure on ourselves is fantastic to accomplish some of our goals. But we also have to accept that perfection is not the ultimate goal and that life is perfect in all of its messiness.
Sayaka Maruyama
In their 20 years of treating and studying trauma survivors, Drs. Dennis Charney and Steven Southwick have identified ten common practices in people who have shown resilience in the face of extreme stress.
• Maintaining an optimistic but realistic outlook
• Reliance upon own inner, moral compass
• Turning to religious or spiritual practices
• Seeking and accepting social support
• Imitation of sturdy role models
• Staying physically fit
• Staying mentally sharp
• Cognitive and emotional flexibility (finding a way to accept that which cannot be changed)
• Looking for meaning and opportunity in the midst of adversity
• Facing fear (ability to confront one’s fears)
The Full Moon in Virgo on Monday might increase our desire to have everything perfectly compartmentalized. But with the Sun in Pisces we might also need to know when surrendering to the tides is necessary.
We are in a relatively calm period and March will pick up speed again. Take advantage of this time to get yourself in order and prevent possible stressors down the road. Get rid of unnecessary pressure or accumulated responsibilities and BREATH.

The Moon is in Pisces conjunct Neptune today. Difficulty concentrating, knowing which is which, what is what and who is who are possible side effects. The boundaries between us dissolve to reveal a bigger truth. Intuition and imagination collide to bring a new level of understanding. We can heal the rift between us by tenderly witnessing. We can help without taking on the pain of others. We can guide without wounding ourselves. It is a matter of knowing where one ends and where others begin.
Today, Mercury stations retrograde at 0’ 57 of Aquarius and will be re-tracing the path it took in December until it turns direct again on January 25th.
This could means that we don’t have all the pieces we need to move ahead. We will have to look back to retrieve some important information and perhaps restructure some of our plans. Something needs resolution. We need to back track to move deeper, to heal, to understand. You can try denial but I wouldn’t recommend it. Things will most likely go in an unpredictable fashion and that is part of the revision process. Some things need to die before we can move forward. Wether its a habit, a fear or a cherished illusion. What is the driving force hiding behind your decisions at the moment?
The regular Mercury procedure is: Don’t sign contracts, don’t buy big-ticket items or launch on a new venture. The potential for confusion, complication or things not turning out as planned seems to be higher during this period. Of course you have free will and of course you can do whatever you want. This is an ongoing observed phenomenon.
The first aspect that Mercury makes on its way backward, is a square to Mars in Scorpio. Mars doesn’t back track, it moves forward. What does it mean?
We can speculate.
Mars in Scorpio wants to zoom in on what most don’t want to show. It identifies the weaknesses to annihilate or heal depending on the level of awareness. This means that we have an arsenal of truth serum at our disposal and it needs to be handled with care for the sake of peace and integration.
Mars wants to act but Scorpio doesn’t tell so Mars in Scorpio is almost always about acting undercover without showing intentions. Mars in Scorpio has hidden motivations. Mercury the messenger, connects us to one another. It is Mercury’s job to tell. This could be like an undercover mission gone public, a cover up exposed, an ambitious executioner, a politician who tells the truth. It can cause ravages or it can bring us to the next level.
Without proper considerations this aspect could see us pulling dirty tricks to win a race that is driven by our insecurities. Mars in Scorpio cuts through the thin veil of chatter to get to the core of the issue. Special attention to dialogues, exchanges and negociations in the next few days as the potential for misunderstanding or hurts to surface is very possible.
You might find me overly prescriptive to start the year but knowledge allows us to move with awareness through the battle fields.
The Sun in Leo is square to Saturn in Scorpio and the Moon in Scorpio will be triggering that square by tomorrow morning.
We also have Lilith at 29 degrees of Virgo. The 29th degree in astrology is known as the anaretic degree. The 29th degree displays the most extreme attributes of the celestial body and the sign it is in. The matters influenced by the planet in this degree have reached a critical phase of development and must be dealt with.
There are so many meanings attributed to Lilith. She is a dark and eccentric mythic figure banished into the wilderness for rebelling against the oppressor (read patriarchy). She is impulsive, confrontational and disruptive. Personally, I do not believe she is all bad although some literature portrays her as a demon.
Words associated with Lilith:
Wild-Rage
Sex-Power
Fears-Manipulation
Raw-Erratic
Instinctual-Knowing
Primal-Castrating
Lilith at 29 degrees of Virgo on a personal level could be associated with the limitations of the body and the subsequent anger and helplessness that comes with it. A health crisis, an indigestion. The body rebelling against itself.
On a global perspective, it could be the earth and nature (Virgo being an earth sign) rebelling against the oppressor (read human).
This is one example of the archetypes showing up but the experience will be highly personal.
And then… we have the bright Sun in Leo in a square with Saturn in Scorpio. Time to grow up kid, face reality and pay your dues. The desire nature is all fired up (Mars in Leo) but the only thing you can do now is face your responsibilites, deal with life and be an adult about it. Did you deliver the goods? How much money will it cost? How much money did you borrow?
Yes, you can go play outside but first you have to do your homework.
Sex is on your mind but there is a responsibility that comes with it. Who did you promise your time to? What kind of contract binds you together? The weight of a promise and the consequences are here.
This is heavy lifting astrology. You can’t bull**** your way out of this one. Even though we are in the season of the radiant and playful Leo and we all know that Leo likes to party, the party is not free. The Moon in Scorpio will make sure to remind you how meaningless it is to waste your time on superficiality. You might also feel like hiding your vulnerabilities but they are shining in broad daylight. Might as well admit it. Scropio doesn’t like to pretend. Scorpio wants real. Real connections, real people, real conversations.
Then you can get to the meaty parts. The best parts… and feel… for real.
A heaviness could be weighing you down. The choices you have made have led you were you are and you are seeing reality for what it is.
Harvest season is almost here
What you sow is what you reap
Some great stories showing up in the news that illustrates in a broader sense a few of the aspects mention above:
The potential with this Full Moon is for the exploration of the darker or hidden corners of our soul, mining for what could be transformed into precious jewels. What secrets are you hiding? What motivate you? Is it power, money, lust, passion, the desire for control? How do you use your personal power? Is your sexual magnetism use for good or for ill? What ways of being are you ready to let go? What is aching to come into your awareness? What lurks behind closed-door? How do you manage the deeper issues in your life?
Now is a good time to reach down to the buried parts of yourself, digging them out and getting rid of the rotten parts and perhaps embracing the vulnerabilities and wounds that makes you, YOU! The wounds can also be where the light enters.
”Anything suppressed gathers the energy it takes for it to be withheld. Energy can never be destroyed and nothing stays in hiding forever. Anything suppressed actually becomes stronger, perhaps in a disfigured, near unrecognizable way.” -Chani Nicholas
Here is a great talk on the power of vulnerability:
