“I see that I’ve become a really bad correspondent. It’s not that I don’t think of you.
You come into my thoughts often. But when you do it appears to me that I owe you a particularly grand letter. And so you end in the “warehouse of good intentions”:
“Can’t do it now.” “Then put it on hold.” This is one’s strategy for coping with old age,
and with death–because one can’t die with so many obligations in storage.
Our clever species, so fertile and resourceful in denying its weaknesses.”

The week begins with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon void of course in Libra until it enters Scorpio late Monday evening. Monday is a (parenthesis) before the week officially begins and an opportunity to sharpen our tools for the work that lays ahead of us. A necessary period of inner refinement, adjusting our compass and vision as we find ourselves oscillating between our instinctual-desire-nature and our rational-pragmatic-intellect.

Constructive actions in tandem with inspired insights permeates this week. There is a lot of juicy momentum and it could even feel as if things are moving waaaay too fast for you to catch a break. Productivity is high on the list right now, and as a result procrastination hangs like a shadow over our game plan.

The soul craves synthesis while the mind dissects every aspects of existence.

The Moon will travel in Scorpio until late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning when it enters Sagittarius. The Moon in Sagittarius all day Thursday (Jupiter’s day) applies to a conjunction with Jupiter. The First Quarter Moon happens at 13º Sagittarius this month when it squares the Sun at 13º Virgo.

The First Quarter Moon is a time of action or crisis when the plans that were laid at the New Moon in Virgo on the 30th of August are being challenged or are starting to gain traction. This First Quarter Moon brings attention to our big idea or vision and the execution of this particular vision or idea. We have to trust that we will get there but we also have to put in the efforts required to get there.

Perspective gets lost when we spend too much time on the details (Virgo). However it can also be hard to execute a big idea if we don’t delineate a practical way to get there (Sagittarius). You could feel overwhelmed by the amount of preparation necessary for the execution of your idea/goal, losing perspective on where you were going it in the first place. Or it could be that you are so taken by your big project that you totally brush over the details and neglect some important steps in the process.

The Moon in Sagittarius will be next to Jupiter at the time of the First Quarter Moon on Friday September 7th – giving us a huge boost of confidence and faith that ”everything will turn alright”. We KNOW what we have to do, but it doesn’t mean we have the discipline to do it. It’s one thing to know, it’s another thing entirely to repeat the process day after day to install a new routine, a new program that will lead us to a new helpful habit. There is a conflict between knowing and executing, between an idea and the implementation of that idea into a tangible process. Time and patience is required as nothing is born overnight and it’s a good idea to keep that in mind as you navigate Virgo season and find yourself going over everything that remains to be done. Be patient and be happy for the process, because every step of the process is what eventually leads you to the desired result.

The Moon enters Capricorn Saturday morning, and here we are again, back at the working bench, at the drawing table with our plans and our to-do lists, and the burden of all that remains to be done. Time is slipping away so fast, and there are still too many details to deal with. We are not quite as healthy, productive, efficient, and successful as we could be, and it could all be too obvious next weekend. The Moon travels in Capricorn next Saturday and Sunday, convincing us that there are vegetables to harvest and preserve, fire wood to split, renovations to do, and all kinds of work left to be done. Not the most relaxing weekend but a productive one I hope.

Most planets traveling in the Earth element (Taurus – Virgo – Capricorn)  means it’s a great time to get stuff done, but terrible for anxiety around status, work, income, discipline, and habits. Don’t compare yourself too much. You are exactly where you are suppose to be; trust your process.

“You have to believe. Otherwise, it will never happen.”

WEEK OF AUGUST 5th, 2019: OUR PRIDE AND AFFECTIONS

 Artwork by Jasper Goodall

Stand straight, walk proud, have a little faith
-Garth Brooks

The week begins with the Moon in Libra until it enters Scorpio on Tuesday signalling the First Quarter Moon. The Moon enters Sagittarius on Thursday, and remains on the archer’s territory until early Sunday morning when it enters Capricorn. The First Quarter Moon is a time of action and momentum when we are challenged to implement what was seeded at the New Moon and push forward.

SPIRIT
Passion burns hot this week as we move deeper into Leo season and straight into the heart of summer. The Sun in the second decan of Leo is bright indeed and Venus blinded by the rays inches closer and closer to the royal throne. By August 14, Venus will disappear completely into the Sun purifying herself in a baptism of light, rebirthing as an evening ”star”. The Sun and Venus in Leo will set the mood this week with loud and colourful roars and regal displays. Pride and affection for what we have created, what we have become, what we value and love is sure to be a theme. We might be moved to expose the content of our heart’s joys for all to see while other folks might dowse themselves in just-a-little-bit too much perfume.

FAITH
The Sun in Leo is moving towards a trine with Jupiter in Sagittarius (exact on Wednesday) and this should give us the ability to say YES more. This easy going and joyful sky is giving us plenty of reasons to celebrate life and make the difficult things a little bit easier to bare. Jupiter stations direct on August 11 after moving retrograde since April 10, 2019. On the same day, Mercury enters Leo and Uranus stations retrograde in Taurus creating a lot of momentum which culminates on Sunday. The Moon entering Sagittarius on Thursday (Jupiter’s day) gives the signal to launch the fireworks, release the helium balloons, cut the red ribbon, and trust that it will all work out. There is a hopeful quality that permeates the week and it is an excellent time to gain perspective on what remains to be accomplished while elevating your standards. Fill your engine to the brim with the potentiality latent in your dreams and aim higher. This is a time of joy, faith and courage; send your prayers and show gratitude accordingly.

THE SALES PITCH
Mercury re-enters the Lion’s den on Sunday at 15:45 EDT after having turned retrograde here in Leo before moving back into the sign of Cancer for most of July. If there is still a faint tinged of longing permeating our minds this week, it will definitely subside by Sunday. The radio stations which until now played a series of nostalgic and sappy songs will now be showcasing ”The Greatest Hits of all Time”. Mercury can be persuasive in the sign of Leo especially when supported by Jupiter. If you have to sell your salad ( convince someone), now and in the next few weeks is a good time to do so. You can expect however that everyone at the market will also have the best salad to sell; you could find yourself shouting in order to be heard.

The Fixed season of Leo is a time of conviction and this year Jupiter in Sagittarius is boosting the signal. Depending on natal disposition some folks might be totally blinded by their beliefs, their pride, and their ideas. Moderate the enthusiasm with healthy dose of reflection before launching headfirst into a debate or a venture. Measured risk and optimism will be rewarded while hubris and arrogance could alienate others but overall, it’s an excellent week.

GROW• GLOW• SHIMMER: NEW MOON IN LEO

Bruce Pennington, 1973

The month of July ends with a New Moon in Leo which will be exact at 23:12 EDT on July 31st. A few minutes later, Mercury stations direct in Cancer after being retrograde since the 7th of July. The New Moon in Leo and Mercury direct initiates us into the month of August, on the other side of eclipse season and in the bright light of the Sun who is at home in the sign of Leo.

→ Look to where the New Moon in Leo is taking place in your birth chart to understand where the focus is  for this upcoming lunation. The Full Moon in Aquarius on August 14 will see a culmination in the opposite house to where Leo sits and you can expect the next few weeks to highlight both the Leo and Aquarius house topics in your chart.

After a month of gestation, we enter a period of rationality and brilliance which will allow us to study in clear daylight, the pearls of wisdom that were birthed in the eclipses shadows. The intuitive epiphanies regarding certain roadblocks and detours inherited from the past, and the revelations contained in our personal biographies can now be observed with a certain lucid detachment as a fresh chapter emerges on the horizon. The page is blank, the fruits are ripped, and fresh intentions are being initiated with the conviction that we really do deserve the best of the best.

Honour and pride is on the menu in the first half of August. Leo season is a time of courage and conviction, of stepping up to the plate and having the guts of embodying your role with confidence. Now is a time for recognizing your accomplishments, your worth, and to show up with your best face on, trusting that you know exactly how its done.

Shimmering sparkles arising from the light – hypnotizing with a fiery glow – a magnetizing charisma containing the warmth of love and attraction. Thirsty, the seeker extends a hand towards the object of power –  hoping to catch its radiance and become a God.

Jupiter stations direct in Sagittarius on August 11, after being retrograde since mid-April and this should help boost our confidence level. On the same day, Mercury enters Leo setting the ego ablaze as Uranus turn retrograde in Taurus until next eclipse season in January 2020.

Micheal Heizer

The Full Moon in Aquarius takes place on August 14, just as Venus in Leo reaches her superior conjunction moving behind the Sun. This marks the time when Venus transition from the morning to evening sky. Venus will be visible as a bright evening “star” in the sky after sunset in September and October 2019.

The Full Moon in Aquarius brings a culmination in regards to our own needs and desires versus the desires of the whole. Certain people might be accused of selfishness during this time as we try to reconcile our values with the values of others. Venusian matters will certainly be on our mind in mid-August and a division could be felt in regards to the practical versus the superfluous. We might feel more indulgent and deserving and this could create some friction with others who are also trying to get their piece of cake. Brash and dramatic displays of superiority are also possible as egos collide; even if you know best, you might not be heard in the cacophony of roars.

Mars enters Virgo on August 18, followed by Venus on August 21st, and the Sun on August 23rd. The second half of the month will contain a lot more planets in Earth elements bringing pragmatism to our ambitions, and practical steps to reach our goals. The heated passions being felt in the first weeks of August will find proper outlets by the end of the month as we slowly come back down to Earth with the gifts of Fire. The last week of August sees a Mars/Venus conjunction in Virgo supported by a trine to Uranus; you will know exactly what to do and how to do it.

Love and passion, passion and beauty, beauty and lust, lust and novelty, novelty and pleasure, pleasure and discovery, discovery and freedom, freedom and connection, connection and soul.

The New Moon in Virgo takes place early on August 30th at 6 degrees of Virgo signalling fresh momentum in the part of your chart where Virgo is located. This should be a fantastic lunation to organize and take care of details that were ignored in the last few months. Delineating a schedule or a plan for your goals should help relieve some of the anxiety. It could feel like a lot needs to be done and September promises to be a good month to get on track. Organization will be high on the priority list and a clear action-plan will support your efforts towards reaching your objectives. The New Moon in Virgo trining Uranus, carries the promise of self-sufficiency born out of efforts.

MERCURY RETROGRADE: VISION & REFINEMENT

Mercury will (appear to) be moving backward in the sign of Sagittarius from December 3rd to December 22/23rd, 2017. Retrograde periods highlight the need to organize, revise and reenvison aspects of our lives. Sometimes this happens voluntarily and sometime it is imposed on us by unforeseen circumstances.

To understand how this might affect you, locate the house with Sagittarius on the cusp in your birth chart; the affairs of that house will be up for review.  If you have an Ascendant, Sun, Moon or Mercury in the sign of Sagittarius or Gemini, this retrograde will be more significant especially if your Ascendant or planet is between 13º and 29º of either signs.

WHAT TO DO DURING THIS UPCOMING RETROGRADE?

Sort out what matters and what doesn’t anymore.

Discard old ideas and beliefs that have become burdensome or obsolete.

Contemplate the passage of time and what it means to be growing older and wiser.

Acknowledge what you want in the grand scheme of things, versus what you do on a day-to-day basis to get there.

Honesty and moral courage will be highlighted during this time.

When the desire to find the truth becomes a rhetorical dead-end, what’s next?

At its worst, this retrograde could bring gloomy or depressive thinking, a loss of faith or a feeling of being blocked by something beyond your control.

There could be an urge to control your thoughts and a difficulty expressing yourself freely. In some circumstances, you might need to ”Let go and Let God”.

In other circumstances you might need to seriously consider rectifying something that has become out of control.

What happens when the sacrifice you are making are loosing their meaning?

What happens when the path you are on is NOT leading you where you want to go?

Taking a step back from something in order to gain perspective and looking at the big picture.

Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius could mean: A re-evaluation of your core beliefs, a shift of perspective, a change of direction and a quest for meaning.

What does ”control” means to you? Do you consider yourself a control-freak? If so, what step can you take to release the grip?

It’s a great time to reflect on social-media, the place it has in your life and how you utilize this tool to your advantage or disadvantage.

IDEAS, DISCIPLINE, AND VISION-SHAPING

If you have a BIG idea or if you are working towards a goal, this retrograde will help you refine your vision.

The awareness needed to gage the REAL amount of work needed to accomplish a goal will be available; don’t let this clarity become a burden and use it to your advantage.

From now until mid-January is your opportunity to write your plan or revise the existing one.

If you are contemplating a new path, a new venture, or a new way of doing things, this retrograde will help you delineate your course of action.

This retrograde is about setting realistic goals, the willingness to roll up your sleeves, and the willingness to invest the time and effort necessary.

Inspiration and creative ideas are available but will remain in the realm of possibilities as long as you don’t take concrete steps; thinking about something doesn’t make it happen.

If the time has come to realize an idea or a project, it is up to you to act on it before someone else does.

From now until mid-January is your opportunity to scheme; discipline is available.

Things may take longer than anticipated; be pragmatic and realistic when delineating your plan without becoming defeatist.

The reality is, things take time; don’t let this fact discourage you.

To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom. –Bertrand Russell

GENERAL OBSERVATIONS

Mercury retrograde begins on December 3rd and ends on December 22/23rd, 2017. Saturn is a big player in this upcoming retrograde. Whatever transpires of this cycle could play out until mid-January when Mercury meets up with Saturn for its 3rd and final conjunction in the sign of Capricorn.

Since the ruler of Mercury in Sagittarius is Jupiter in Scorpio, the themes of secrecy and revelations will continue to be strongly highlighted.

Mercury trine Uranus on November 25th before meeting up with Saturn on November 28th and turning retrograde on December 3rd. An emerging idea, a revelation, a new situation, a vision, or simply a new approach to an old conundrum could be a strong theme in December. The shape of things to come, an idea and the discipline required to materialize it, will be strong undercurrents.

On December 3rd, Jupiter in Scorpio (ruling over Mercury) trine Neptune in Pisces while Mercury stations retrograde. There is also a Full Moon in Gemini on the same day ruled by Mercury retrograde. There is an overwhelming amount of work and so much things to think about. You might be tempted to find the closest escape route. Don’t let anxiety or fear cripple your mind. A good day to practice breathing exercise and meditation. This Full Moon highlights the dichotomy between beliefs and facts, visions and ideas, and the realization that it will take a lot more work than originally thought to get where we want to be.

The New Moon in Sagittarius on December 17 will see its ruler Jupiter in Scorpio, square the Nodes of the Moon while Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius trine the Nodes. On December 21st, Saturn enters Capricorn and Mercury station direct the next day; destiny is calling.

I believe in Nature

I believe in the reality of Nature

Not the mechanical reality
of the nine-to-fivers
With their flawed calendars
and false clocks
searching for eternal youth

Not the one that destroys
the true rhythms of Nature
and feed on the worship
of sickness and plastic

I believe in the reality of Nature
Where all things have their place
Perfectly in sync with each other;
every moments are filled with Gods
feasting on each other

From the time I opened my eyes
To the time of my last breath
I kneel down at the altar of Nature
and worship the only true rhythms
that regulates her perfection

Moon in Leo square Mars in Taurus

The Moon is in Leo for the next 2 days and will be supported by the Sun in Aries, Jupiter in Libra and Saturn in Sagittarius while being square to Mars in Taurus.

The drive to succeed is high and fortune favours the bold but for the next 2 days it is PATIENCE who will favour the bold.

Full Moon in Virgo: A Purging Process

Times of transition are strenuous, but I love them.
They are an opportunity to purge, rethink priorities,
and be intentional about new habits.
We can make our new normal any way we want.
-Kristin Armstrong

A CLEANSING LIGHT

The Full Moon in Virgo on March 12 brings a dry outlook amidst the tides of the last few weeks. This is a sobering Full Moon and we have the opportunity to reset our stance as the light shines on the chaos and structures of our lives. In this Earth sign, the Full Moon asks us to come back down to reality for a moment and attend to the details and responsibilities of our existence.

Efficiency is not as simple as it sounds and must be developed day after day until the habit is well established. Under the Full Moon in Virgo on March 12, you could find yourself vividly aware of how you go about setting yourself up for success or… failure.

You might have the urge to discard the clutter that has accumulated over the last few months. Whether the mess is internal, external or general, this Full Moon is excellent for getting rid of what is weighing you down. This purging process is further supported by Venus who is currently retrograde. Amongst many other things, Venus is linked to luxury and beauty and this is an excellent time to discard the clothes and objects which are causing stagnation and perhaps donate them to charity. Creating space might not come as easily as we hope and conscious discipline might need to be applied. With Mars in the very first degree of Taurus, our earthly abode and the material reality that surround us is doubly emphasized. Our attention is on the objects that surrounds us and we could feel the polarizing need to acquire and discard simultaneously.

MERCURY IN PISCES SQUARE SATURN IN SAGITTARIUS

Narrow-mindedness, irrational fears, and excessive worry could very well be highlighted this  weekend. Mercury – the ruler of the Full Moon in Virgo – is in the sign of its detriment and fall at the time of the Full Moon. Mercury will also be in a square with Saturn in Sagittarius adding a dash of mental anguish to this already unhappy placement. Choose your conversations and words wisely and monitor your thoughts. Chances are the lack of clarity around a situation could create more anxiety than its worth. Avoid guilt-trips and mentally straining situations if you can do so. Next week will provide illuminating solutions that are not visible at the moment. For now, simplify where you can and do not become hyper-critical or overly concerned with a situation that is out of your control or simply not your fault.

THE PROMISE OF SPRING

Our desire to have everything right and our inability to do so might be highlighted on this Full Moon. However, the opportunity to find some form of contentment in organizing and simplifying is available. Processes are what bring lasting changes and we now have the ability to make the small adjustments needed to bring bigger results. Reset your stance by purging your space. Attend to your body and its basic needs. Nurture and calm your mind with meditation and breath and most importantly: don’t sweat the small stuff!

“We love the imperfect shapes in nature and in the works of art,
look for an intentional error as a sign of the golden key
and sincerity found in true mastery.”
― Dejan Stojanovic

The Moon will be Full on March 12, 2017 at 10:54 EST at 22º of Virgo

February’s Fire

Hey everyone,

We’re almost done with January which has been a good example of what is to come. We also have entered the Chinese Year of the Fire Rooster. Even if the Chinese Zodiac has nothing to do with the Tropical Zodiac (the one we use) there is one thing in common for 2017 and that is: there is a LOT of planets in FIRE signs all year.

Uranus is in Aries and Saturn in Sagittarius plus we have an upcoming Venus retrograde (beginning March 4) in the sign of Aries.

There is also a series of eclipses on the Leo/Aquarius axis beginning this month with the Full Moon in Leo (a Fire sign) on February 10. Eclipses generally comes in sets of 4 over the course of the year.

So what does it mean? Well, If you have important planets in the late degrees of the Fixed signs (Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, Leo) this year eclipses will highlight that part of your chart.
Eclipses in astrology are considered triggers that brings fundamental changes. These changes can be sudden or they can be more of a gradual shift towards something completely new over a period of time. Of course it’s easier to pinpoint the area affected by studying the natal chart.

cc76d31f6600a3fa38f78debe2830278

The New Moon in Pisces at the end of February is also a Solar eclipse and it is the last one in the Pisces/Virgo series that has happened over the course of the last 2 years. There was a lot of changes for these guys (Virgo and Pisces) and an evolution towards something that is either being born now or on the last stretch of its journey.

The Sun is in Aquarius and will move into the water sign of Pisces on February 18.

Saturn in Sagittarius (a fire sign) continues to fuel dogmatic beliefs and wars on ideologies and Jupiter goes retrograde later this month which will bring the second Jupiter/Uranus opposition.

Mars in Aries (fire sign) all month is excellent for pushing ahead with your own ideas and
projects. If you feel tense, go sweat it out.

Stay noble, stay bold.

The Dawn of the New Moon in Aquarius

The Moon this Week

The Sun just entered the sign of Aquarius on January 19 where it will stay until February 18.

Before the New Moon in Aquarius on January 27, the Moon will travel through Sagittarius and Capricorn. We can expect the next few days to be full of heated debates and self-righteous dialogues as the Moon applies to a conjunction with Saturn. At its best, Saturn in Sagittarius can be about having faith in our convictions which help fuel our ideas and bring some structure to what we believe in. At its worst, Saturn in Sagittarius becomes dogmatic and fanatical, imposing its point of view in a one way preaching of its truth, testing the solidity and validity of our faith. Since the ruler of the Moon in Sagittarius is Jupiter in the sign of the scales (Libra) the debates and conversations will most likely revolve around equality and inequality, justice and injustice, right vs. wrong, relational issues and the delicate balance of it all.

14681630_349623085381204_4707930193170140835_nThe Moon will also briefly square Mars at 29 degrees of Pisces as it prepares to ingress in the sign of its rulership of Aries. Note that both the last decan of Pisces and the first decan of Aries are ruled by Mars – emphasizing the martial qualities of this time period.

The Moon moves into the sign of Capricorn on Wednesday January 24 at 17:43 EST and will make some lovely aspects mainly a sextile to Neptune in Pisces and a conjunction to Mercury in Capricorn which could bring some conversations around the topics of healing, compassion and mercy. Thursday promises to be a day filled with challenges as the Moon in Capricorn conjunct Pluto in the early morning hours and then square Uranus in Aries and Jupiter in Libra. Thursday evening the Moon sextile Venus in Pisces, applying a balm on the heat of the last few days.

With the Sun in Aquarius, the desire for freedom and independence is very strong. Freedom of thoughts, freedom of speech and the tendency to rebel against the existing structures while also wanting to reform and bring about new and better ways of doing things. Feeling left-out of the conversation and the impression of not belonging anywhere could permeate the next month while the Sun travels in Aquarius. Themes of exile and frontiers could set us apart which in turn could create a state of disillusionment and alienation.

Take a Breather

The time preceding the New Moon is called the Dark Moon and it describes the Moon when it is invisible against the backdrop of the Sun. It is the last phase of the lunar cycle before it begins again.

Astrologically speaking, the last 3 days before the New Moon represent a time of rest, of letting go, of sorting out and making space for what is ready to begin in the upcoming month. The days leading to the New Moon are best spent nurturing and resting the body in preparation for the month ahead. One of the best way to spend the next few days, is to seek space and get out for a hike, stretch and relax. Stretch the mind, stretch the body and seek openness. The desire for change is strong but judgmental and self-righteous behaviours might be even stronger, creating division and arguments instead of unity. This can be depleting or draining instead of being productive. Use this Dark Moon period to regroup, tie-up loose ends and finish things. New ideas and new ways of doing will naturally start emerging in the process and you will be fresh and ready to tackle February which promises to be a big month.

The New Moon on January 27 at 19:07 EST is in the sign of Aquarius and its ruler Saturn in Sagittarius will be square to Venus in Pisces. This indicate tension between certain structures in our lives, our beliefs, our values and our ability (or inability) to find sweetness amidst the harshness and difficulties of these times. Feeling limited and opressed while seeking or craving beauty and exaltation. Our ability to find what brings us together (Venus) versus what divides us (Saturn) will set the tone for the month ahead. Since Aquarius is linked to innovation, perhaps now is the time to begin applying new and better ways of doing things.

♃ BROAD VISIONS  vs  ZEALOUS AMBITIONS  ♅

HOROSCOPES FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER

that-one

Ambition is to be the fastest runner on this planet, to be the first on the South Pole, which is a grotesque perversion of ambition. It’s an ego trip, and I’m not on an ego trip. I don’t have ambitions – I have a vision.
– Werner Herzog

SAGITTARIUS/SAGITTARIUS RISING ♐︎

The month of December will see you make giant leaps forward. This time of the year is your time – support is here if you need it. There is still a lot of work needed to bring your projects to fruition but like they say, it’s the journey that counts not the destination, right? Monopolize your allies and find the support you need to continue on the path you are on. Take it a step further and get out of your comfort zone.  You will be amazed by the rapid evolution that happens when you do. One of the most important things to remember on your journey is finding the balance between the work you are doing and what you are trying to achieve. Keeping your vision in your mind’s eyes will help you tackle the more difficult day-to-day tasks. Perspective will also remind you of your bigger objectives. By keeping that goal in mind you are fuelling and energizing yourself. It might be hard to see the results of all your hard work at the moment but by this time next year you will look back and realize how much you have accomplished. If you don’t have a specific goal or vision in mind, now would be an excellent time to sketch one. What would you like to see more of in your life? What contribution can you bring to the bigger community?  What is your special skill and how are you using it? What type of wild ideas do you entertain and is there a way to bring some of them to reality?  What would be the first step? Your ruler Jupiter is in Libra (the sign most often associated with partnership) for almost a year.  This means that all of these ideas and projects will be a lot easier to tackle if you team up. Don’t be surprised if you crave more connections. Find your people, find your partners and don’t hesitate to reach out to others and include them in your plans.

CAPRICORN/CAPRICORN RISING ♑︎

December greets you with one door open on the past and one door open on the future.  One foot is still in your past and you haven’t quite taken that big step into the future. It would be wise to take in what you see before stepping into the future with both feet. A moment of contemplation will allow you to see the numerous possible outcomes, the roads ahead, and potential curves. Map and assess the terrain stability so that you can use the resources available to you in the best and most efficient ways possible. A revision of the plans you have for the year ahead will strengthen them and show you where things need to be solidified or let go. Once January arrives you will be ready to fully embrace the New Year. Until then, sort out what you don’t want to carry with you into the future door. Leave behind all of your old assumptions about what you think is possible. Dust off the dreams and visions you hold dear in your heart and make space for them again and again against the stale and the dead. One of the best ways to access this space is by having a good heart-to-heart conversation with yourself. Be honest about what scares you. Look at these fears straight in the eye and ask them what they want from you. Once you get their messages you will be well on your way. Using  fear to our advantage is probably one of the best ways to succeed. There is so much power behind fear; imagine turning them upside down, walking through them and harnessing all that power to fuel your dreams. Imagine that once you finally face them, they hold no more power over you. No. More. Power. Over. You. So, what are you afraid of? 😉

AQUARIUS/AQUARIUS RISING ♒︎

The month of December highlights two areas of your life:  The first one has to do with tying up loose-ends before January begins and the second one has to do with relationships and how you approach them. Having the company of others has been on your mind in the recent months but for the most part it has felt like something elusive. Your desire for partnership is there, but the feedback you are getting seems to get muffled along the way. You are only receiving bits and pieces of vital information and the whole thing may have felt like a complicated puzzle not worth your time and effort. Whether this has to do with work partnerships, friendships, or love interests, it seems to be way too daunting. You are more than able to take care of yourself and  you don’t have the time to dwell on other people’s drama, right? Here is the thing: you can’t pick and choose which part of others you will include in your life and which ones you will ignore.  People come whole with all of their weird quirks and hang ups. When you decide to step into that special space we call ”relationships” you have to be willing to see others for what they are and not just what you had hoped they would be. It also means being able to acknowledge our behaviour reflected back at us without erecting walls. This is probably one of the most difficult things to do in our individualistic society. If we don’t like the way someone challenges our ideas we can dispose of them and go about our merry way. The challenge is not met but avoided and eventually forgotten until it shows up again somewhere else in our life.  Lucky for you, scenarios that keep repeating themselves seem to be a trend within your relationships. You have plenty of opportunities to practice tearing down walls that separates you from authentic connections. As the saying goes: practice makes perfect.

PISCES/PISCES RISING ♓︎

2016 was a spectacular year for Pisceans.  It brought tidal waves of changes that might have felt uprooting and difficult at times. Some events are just outside of our control and all we can do is bend like bamboo. December could bring a dose of nostalgia as you contemplate the year coming to an end. You could get the strange desire to get lost in timeless prose while hard reality knocks at your door – the sweetness of your ideals colliding against the wall of responsibilities. But you chose this path and you are determined to challenge those ideals and their familiar stories. If there is one sign of the Zodiac that strives on instability it is the people of your sign. Pisceans are amazing at transforming a situation into a learning experience. You have vision and ambition available to you at this time so I wouldn’t get lost looking back for too long. This is an extremely fertile period to cultivate new ideas and to apply them into reality. People need your wisdom and insights more than ever so roll up your sleeves and put your hands on the plow. The unique intelligence you carry inside of your heart is needed more than ever to help others see what matters. In this process of applying and sharing your knowledge you can help others restore their own vision. It is very important at this time that you do not lose sight of what you believe in. You carry a torch that illuminates the path not only for yourself but for others. It might feel like a big responsibility or burden but trust me: you do this effortlessly. You do not have to think elaborately on the hows and the why’s, you just have to believe in the wisdom of what your heart already knows and the rest will shape itself.

ARIES/ARIES RISING ♈︎

The opportunity to take some calculated risk is available to you at the moment. You have to find the sweet spot between foolhardiness and your entrepreneurial spirit; the line between profit and loss. You and I both know that you have the motivation – that is NOT what you lack. But directing that motivation towards a specific goal is harder and you need to find which vehicle will carry you the furthest. The beginning of December highlights a journey: whether physical, mental, or spiritual. In the last year, stepping outside of your comfort zone has proven to be rewarding and you need to continue with that momentum. Find the people that will help you expand your scope of opportunities; put yourself out there. Your attention is on career and finances and there could be some possibility for partnerships but you have to be willing to create the space for it. Write down what you are good at and then write down what you lack.  From there you can start looking for the people who are good at what you lack.  Study how they do it, imitate their techniques or even better reach out for advice. I know that might be asking A LOT out of you Aries but it is for your own benefit in the long run! Find the quality you like in the people you admire; what do they have that you are lacking and how can YOU get  better at doing what they do? Last but not least, which defeatist attitude are you ready to leave behind before entering the new year?  What negative scenarios are you playing in your head that could be detrimental to your success? Revise the narratives and beliefs you tell yourself when it comes to your work and how you might be selling yourself short. Is there a skill you feel you are lacking in order to advance in your chosen field?  Consider the learning options available to you.  You might be surprised at the possibilities.

TAURUS/TAURUS RISING ♉︎

Winter is fast approaching and with the cold your gaze turns towards the horizon. Your attention will be on logistics and work this month and perhaps planning a vacation or travel somewhere. You might be craving a different experience and this could also be connected to your work in some ways. Combining duty and pleasure is your motto since responsibilities abound, but you can also make the process pleasurable. The Full Moon in Gemini on December 13th sheds light on your finances and what is needed to make it right. You could feel the burden of expenses growing but a good brainstorming session will show you that you have a lot of assets and skills that could be put to good use. Don’t exclude options connected to teaching or mentoring. You might also have to tighten the reins in some areas in order to reach your bigger goals. Sorting out the essential from the superfluous will prove to be a valuable exercise and will help you delineate a good plan of action. When the desire to indulge in something that you don’t really need surfaces, remind yourself that the essential is invisible to the eyes. This month, seek out fulfilling experiences and rewarding connections. Go after the feeling instead of the object and separate what you truly seek from the automatic security urges that often run the show. Break one habit that keeps you crystalized in old stale beliefs about money that your spirit has outgrown. Find safety in knowing that true riches are collected within the heart through your connection with others. In the end we remember moments not things. Beauty, symmetry, and harmony is feeling at ease in the world without needing to constantly clutter the space with objects that reminds us of the essential. Take the revolutionary step of going directly to that vital space. Light a candle, find your prayer and bask in the warmth of the heart’s true wealth.

GEMINI/GEMINI RISING ♊︎

There is a lot happening these days for Gemini people and December will be no exception.  Expect a lot of back and forth between you and others as you are in the process of laying the ground for some important relationships. The foundations are being build as we speak and the agreements that are in the works could have significant implications for your future. It is not the time to back down from the responsibilities and duties of these said partnerships. This is a major learning curve for you as you usually like to have some freedom of movement and you could feel bogged down by the demands made on you. But the rewards will be worth the small compromise being made at this time. If you are not clear from the get go about how you feel, now would be the time to speak out and bring the adjustments needed. You do not want to re-visit these issues once the situation is crystallized. Nip it in the bud; Put a stop to something while it is still in it’s early development if you are not happy with it. If you’re not sure of what I am talking about the days surrounding the Full Moon in Gemini on December 13th should make it clear. Give yourself until the second week of January to revise any arrangements and long term commitments. Write down what you expect to gain from the situation and make sure you are aware of what is expected from you. Allow yourself plenty of time to think things over as there might be a missing piece of information that comes to light later in the month. There is a possibility of unforeseen development that could change the equation, so give yourself plenty of leg room without shunning the work that needs to be done!

CANCER/CANCER RISING ♋︎

Cancer folks are very good at making others feel good about themselves. Unfortunately, what often ends up happening is a dismissal of their own needs and well-being. It is not so much neglect on their part but more that the natural flow of their internal waters pours outward. You cannot stop a river or a spring from flowing in one direction; nature has an imperceptible wisdom contained in her motion. For thousands of years, humans have built diversion damns in order to channel the portion of the flow of a river from its natural course into various canals. Without irrigation, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Irrigation is the method in which a controlled amount of water is supplied to plants at regular intervals for agriculture. It is used to assist in the growing of agricultural crops, maintenance of landscapes, and revegetation of disturbed soils in dry areas and during periods of inadequate rainfall. [1] A similar process is at work in your life and your task in the coming weeks will be to monitor where your waters are going and re-direct its flow where it is most needed. Do not waste your precious energy on projects, people, or situations that will dry out your soil and cause draught in the long run. Pay special attention to any circumstances that deplete your strength and leave you feeling tired or run down. You will get cues this month from your body; don’t dismiss these cues. Allow yourself periods of contemplation and silence. Many things will come to light and with these revelations a period of re-assessment. Until mid-January, you have the opportunity to evaluate your territory and clearly see where your river runs. Is it producing enough energy supply for everything you have growing? Are you sending your water in too many directions? Are you using the right methods of irrigation for what you want to grow? Give yourself plenty of room to adjust to changing circumstances. Don’t fret on what is not working out the way you had planned. If you get discouraged by the resistance of the terrain, see if you can work with the flow and where it wants to go.

LEO/LEO RISING ♌︎

Relationships and the obligations they bring have been high on your priority list and will continue to be well into December. You are ready for the next level and you are willing to step up to the plate and assume your responsibilities. Although, there is still one distant voice that occasionally whispers to you to keep some space for your own projects. With all of your recent connections, you want to keep some freedom to do as you please and not be relying on external factors to dictate what you can and cannot do. It is easier to adjust the foundation of something before the roof goes on and you are settled in. It is way less stressful to rely on yourself and your assets than to borrow from the bank. Of course these are metaphors but you get the picture. The next few years should bring some fundamental changes in the way you operate Leo. There will be a series of eclipses in your sign beginning in February of 2017 and all the way to January 2019. These eclipses will bring stories that are already being woven as we speak. Doors will open and close in some unexpected places. You want to be self-sufficient enough to allow flexibility and options down the road. There are many opportunities for you at the moment and some might require sacrifices. In other words, you are in a growth curve and you have to think about what you are willing to let go of and what you can’t live without. You want to aim far enough ahead and be smart about it. It might seem like a lot of contradictory desires are influencing you.  It might also feel like a strange in-between world and to some extent it is. You can think of this period as a transitional space. You want to be able to walk that fine line between risk and safety; between the familiar and the unknown: between being responsible but keeping your fire and spirit alive. For the time being, the Full Moon in Gemini on December 13 will shine bright on all the creative projects you want to carry out within your community and the people you need to associate with in other to birth these ideas into reality.

VIRGO/VIRGO RISING ♍︎

The month of December begins with your attention turning towards your home and family of origin. You could be called to reset your stance and this might require some planning on your part to find the sweet spot between compromise and comfort. You will need to adjust to other people and you could find yourself feeling restricted or limited in some ways. The Full Moon in Gemini on December 13 highlights your professional life and the need to separate the wheat from the chaff. Your base of operation and career are closely linked and this will become more apparent as the month progresses. You will likely need to make some mature decisions. This last year has been a tremendous period of expansion for Virgos and you don’t want to stop that momentum. However, expect to review the plans that were made in the spring in order to make the most of December onward. Your ruler, Mercury, stations retrograde on the 19 of December in the sign of Capricorn. A Mercury retrograde is really not the end of the world, but it’s always a good idea to review and reorganize what we have been working on before laying on the next structures.  This retrograde is closely linked to your creativity/creative projects so it’s a good idea to tweak any of the big ventures and ideas you have been working on. Mercury goes direct on the 8 of January and you should feel confident by then with the adjustments and reforms. Slow, steady, and deliberate expansion remains your motto. There is still lots of room for awesome and innovative (financial) risks but you want to cover all of the bases. Then, you can take those wild ideas of yours and bring home the bacon – literally or figuratively.

LIBRA/LIBRA RISING ♎︎

I was once called out for playing ‘the offended Libra’ which at the time I didn’t really understand. One thing we are good at is sensing when a situation is unjust or out of balance; call it the perks of being born under the scales. It is honestly pretty common for Libras to get ‘offended’ when we witness something unacceptable or unfair. We are after all the moral regulators of the zodiac and it is not voluntary as much as it is our innate programming. However, there is one thing, one trapping, one less fortunate side-effect of being a Libran that stops us from going more actively after what we believe, and that is: other people. The amount of space we give lovers, partners, friends, and even strangers is usually the one thing in our life that is out of balance. We are sometimes so agreeable that we end up places we don’t really like and wonder how we got there. This month you have the opportunity to break free from some of the usual roles you end up playing and embrace a fresh perspective. Wherever this is happening in your life, try to hold on to your new found vision. Angst can be super liberating if you apply it productively and carry out real long-lasting changes. Knowing when and where to strike is the trick and I have a feeling this will become more obvious for you towards the end of December. The second thread running through this month is linked to your obligations towards family members and the home front.  Be ready to deal with some unforeseen obligations. You might be craving a distant escapade somewhere far away from all of the holiday noise but you have some important familial commitments to attend. All of your intellect is conspiring for you to break free from restrictive patterns and bring much-needed changes to a stale situation. Nevertheless, you might have to bite the bullet for just a bit longer before you can spread your wings. Until then, clarify and refine the images and sensations of what your future looks like and break the mould.

SCORPIO/SCORPIO RISING ♏︎

The beginning of December highlights your finances and the need to tighten the reins to insure you are spending your assets wisely. This is a theme that begun last month and will continue throughout December. The Full Moon in Gemini on December 13 could show you where the leaks are. There could be a lot of commotion on the home front as your need to innovate and break free of old habits is fully activated and you don’t want to settle for the same old stories. With that said, you don’t want to wait until the only option is total destruction either. Scorpio is a Fixed sign, this means you were born in the middle of a season (in your case, the Fall) and it can be extremely difficult to change habits. Being a Fixed sign means you are usually committed for the long haul.  You are reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. On the flip side, being born under a Fixed sign also means you tend to stay in situations way passed their expiry dates. Some patterns get crystallized and trap you in a small prison that you confuse for comfort. The safety of those solidified habits allows you to keep your powers but in the long run depletes you of your vitality. This month, watch where you might be holding on too tightly. Once you find the places in your life, in your body or in your mind where your tight grip is impeding the flow of circulation, see if you can loosen up your hold. Practice stepping outside of just one of your usual habits. You do have tremendous powers of adaptation, only it has to be on your own term. See if you can anticipate where in your life you will need to adapt in the coming years and practice opening up that space. Get out of your comfort zone by small increments and find more flexibility within yourself for the new stories that want to be born. You have the opportunity to practice vulnerability in new and creative ways but it won’t happen on its own. You can stay where you are, frozen in time, holding on to your powers, but understand that the status quo also contains its risks. Prioritize a healthy circulation by breathing in new air and breathing out the stale and create space for positive changes to happen in your life.
