Get lost and find your flow. Week of March 4, 2019

This week, we have Mercury stationing retrograde on Tuesday at  1:17pm EST. Mercury is retrograde for most of the month of March and even though there is no need to freak out about Mercury retrograde periods (since it happens 3 times a year), this one will be particularly ”foggy” as it is happening in Pisces (the sign of Mercury’s detriment) and Neptune will be quite active all month. Chances of missing important details increases and so are the chances of getting distracted. This month will be excellent for creative flow without too many rigid structures.

Wednesday, Uranus officially enters the sign of Taurus signalling a new era of technology, innovations, and breaking away from the status quo. Think back on how far you have come since 2011 to now (the time it took Uranus to travel through the sign of Aries) and how in may ways, you are starting a new chapter that is taking you further and further away from the person you were 8 years ago. Uranus ingress into an Earth sign can also bring some surprises this week; expect the unexpected.

Wednesday afternoon, a New Moon in Pisces will conjunct Neptune. This week is filled with impression and hunches as we get lured by half conscious visions of our hopes for the future. A New Moon signals the beginning of the Lunar Month. The seeds and intentions planted at this time will become visible around the Full Moon in Libra on the 21st of March. What is being fertilized/conceptualized at this time for you? Look at the House where Pisces sits in your birth chart for clues of where confusion and inspiration are likely to show their faces for you.

Thursday, the Sun conjunct Neptune; the fog machine is turn on high as we slip between fantasy, irrational fears, and wishful thinking. Neptune dissolves the shapes and boundaries of hard materialism. Is it all there is to reality? Or is something bigger at work here? Neptune gives a desire for transcendence; it makes us want to believe that there is more than meet the eyes. Neptune is the muse or the ghost. Neptune at its worst can turn the anxiety on high as we feel riddled with ungraspable fears, something just beyond our conscious awareness. Pisces season can also be a time of empathy, compassion, confusion or sadness as we can feel more vividly the pain of the world. A good season for generosity and compassion.

On a mundane level, ”fake news” will surely be a big thing this month so be careful about the information you ingest and be discerning! When possible, it’s a good time to tune out and practice meditation, mindfulness or simply go out in nature to bring you back to centre.

Have and excellent week and enjoy those Piscean Waters!

On the Chiron/Saturn square

The Moon is in Pisces and will meet Neptune later tonight. This can be both mystical and transcending as the Sun (in Scorpio) and the Moon are in deeply intimate waters right now. We could feel more impressionable and inspired with our attention turned towards spiritual matters.

Tomorrow night, the Moon in Pisces will conjunct Chiron and trigger the Chiron/Saturn square, just in time for Halloween.

The Chiron/Saturn square is the big signature aspect this week and it is both difficult and rewarding. We could be aware of old wounds while also being ready to move on from that space of hurt.

This aspect is a mixture of realization around painful truth and healing. You could feel sensitive and self-conscious of your downfalls while experiencing some closure around them. It’s like having the raw awareness of where it hurts in order to locate the pain, forgive yourself and hopefully move on.

It’s hard and edgy but also rewarding if you make the effort to be honest with yourself. It calls for maturity around our most vulnerable selves.

“I said: what about my eyes?
He said: Keep them on the road.

I said: What about my passion?
He said: Keep it burning.

I said: What about my heart?
He said: Tell me what you hold inside it?

I said: Pain and sorrow.
He said: Stay with it.
The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”

February’s Fire

Hey everyone,

We’re almost done with January which has been a good example of what is to come. We also have entered the Chinese Year of the Fire Rooster. Even if the Chinese Zodiac has nothing to do with the Tropical Zodiac (the one we use) there is one thing in common for 2017 and that is: there is a LOT of planets in FIRE signs all year.

Uranus is in Aries and Saturn in Sagittarius plus we have an upcoming Venus retrograde (beginning March 4) in the sign of Aries.

There is also a series of eclipses on the Leo/Aquarius axis beginning this month with the Full Moon in Leo (a Fire sign) on February 10. Eclipses generally comes in sets of 4 over the course of the year.

So what does it mean? Well, If you have important planets in the late degrees of the Fixed signs (Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, Leo) this year eclipses will highlight that part of your chart.
Eclipses in astrology are considered triggers that brings fundamental changes. These changes can be sudden or they can be more of a gradual shift towards something completely new over a period of time. Of course it’s easier to pinpoint the area affected by studying the natal chart.

The New Moon in Pisces at the end of February is also a Solar eclipse and it is the last one in the Pisces/Virgo series that has happened over the course of the last 2 years. There was a lot of changes for these guys (Virgo and Pisces) and an evolution towards something that is either being born now or on the last stretch of its journey.

The Sun is in Aquarius and will move into the water sign of Pisces on February 18.

Saturn in Sagittarius (a fire sign) continues to fuel dogmatic beliefs and wars on ideologies and Jupiter goes retrograde later this month which will bring the second Jupiter/Uranus opposition.

Mars in Aries (fire sign) all month is excellent for pushing ahead with your own ideas and
projects. If you feel tense, go sweat it out.

Stay noble, stay bold.

Crossing the swamp

saltwater-crocodile-near
Mercury conjunct Pluto today while the Moon has just entered Pisces and is moving towards a conjunction with the Tail of the Dragon or more often called: the South Node of the Moon.
These aspects can be compared to a crocodile in a quagmire; his tail dredging up all sorts of old sediments from the bottom of a dirty pool.

Unpleasant situations will need to be dealt with, secrets could be revealed and powerful opinions will collide.

Anything that has to do with communicating and processing information is receiving a dose of steroids (Pluto) which in turn magnifies the outgoing and incoming messages.

The Moon in Pisces approaching a conjunction to the South Node could mean that we feel helpless or victimized by something out of our control. The South Node is sometime compared to a bottomless pit where we tend to get stuck and where we can feel great dissatisfaction.

This dissatisfaction in turn serves as impetus for change.

The great waters are churning. As we become aware of all the darkness in the world we must not lose faith but push beyond the unpleasant truths emerging at the moment.

The Sun in Aquarius serves as a guiding light shining on our ideals.

For when the Moon is in Pisces

Today’s Moon in Pisces conjunct Neptune and the Tail of the Dragon (South Node of the Moon) speaks of foggy circumstances. Reasoning and rational abilities might be at an all time low as we are swayed by psychic emotional tides. (particularly coming from social media.)

The upcoming Full Moon in Taurus (earth) ruled by Venus in Capricorn (earth) next week will be a good opportunity to anchor and re-group.

Neptune’s conjunction to the South Node will be exact on the 17th, Mercury will square Neptune on the 18th and Neptune will station direct on the 19th of November. The month closes with a square from the Sun in Sagittarius to Neptune in Pisces. That is a lot of Neptune.

Neptune rules beyond mundane material reality. Boundaries dissolves as we become susceptible to all sorts of impressions. Some are accurate while others are delusional. Here we meet anxiety and escapism or inspiration and bliss depending on where we put our attention. One of the side-effect of Neptune in Pisces could be a tendency to feel like a victim or like things are happening to us with little control over them.

A good idea is to disconnect from the information tide. Without escaping, find space, silence and stillness for true insights to emerge.

There could be missing elements from the picture we are looking at right now.
All things will come to pass, dissolve and disappear back into the void.

A good thing to keep in mind as we navigate these foggy waters.

Full Moon in Pisces: Naked in a dream

13909399_1235988186433675_5452608086241721521_o

On Friday September 16 the Moon in Pisces conjunct Chiron moments before the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse.  This is a slippery spot in the month and I imagine the days leading to the eclipse  (read: this week) will also be like finding ourselves naked in a dream. Our weakness and insecurities could be showing up in unexpected places. Old patterns emerging without rational explanation, feeling defensive and taking things personally. If you are doing good, then you are one of the lucky ones who can be a lighthouse for those who are sailing the storm. Since this Full Moon is on the South Node (which is why it is an eclipse) we can anticipate the days leading up to it to be filled with a sense of déjà vu. It could also be that we go back to old stomping grounds, reconnect with people from our past or that we find ourselves nostalgic over something from days gone by.

”The wound is the place where the light enters you” -Rumi

When you combine the South Node of the Moon and Chiron in Pisces you get salt in your wounds.

Healing can hurt, it gets itchy and we want to pick at the scabs. This Full Moon is a bit like that. It is also like trying to hold on to something that is overripe or almost moldy; it bruises easily and you get your hands dirty, it might even stink a little.  But rotten things make excellent compost. Just don’t handle the rot/manure for too long.

Create space between yourself and your reactions

”Whatever happens around you, don’t take it personally…Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves. All people live in their own dream, in their own mind; they are in a completely different world from the one we live in. When we take something personally, we make the assumption that they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our world on their world.” -Miguel Ruiz

What you are letting go now or what has reached a point of saturation is serving as fertiliser for the future. You might feel like simmering in your stew a bit longer. You might think that going back to your old ways would be safer. It could be that an important chapter is closing but you can’t quite see around the corner. Whichever way you decide to navigate this narrow canal, know that there is no turning back.  Tie yourself to the mast of your boat while the Moon passes in the earth’s shadow and looses her light. An era is definitely over and you get the confirmation if you can stand the darkness for a brief moment. If you have personal planets in the last 10 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) this Full Moon will affect you more significantly.

Safe passage

Universal Truth/Healthy Boundaries

by Chemical Sister, found on The Church of the Nervous System

The Moon is in Pisces conjunct Neptune today. Difficulty concentrating, knowing which is which, what is what and who is who are possible side effects. The boundaries between us dissolve to reveal a bigger truth. Intuition and imagination collide to bring a new level of understanding. We can heal the rift between us by tenderly witnessing. We can help without taking on the pain of others. We can guide without wounding ourselves. It is a matter of knowing where one ends and where others begin.

Divine inspiration on a rocky shore

The Moon is in Pisces for the next 2 days.  She will conjunct Neptune and Chiron and will  square  Saturn and the Sun in Sagittarius revealing some possible road blocks on our path.

We are navigating two very different currents.

One has to do with the appraisal of our situation, our direction, and some decisions we have to make because we are grown ups and no one will take care of our stuff if we don’t. It’s a fast and cold current and it can feel like time is slipping away. We could also be painfully aware of where it hurts at the moment. Remember that the wound is where the light enters you and stay sincere and realistic about your needs.

Roberto Ferri – Et in tenebris

The other current is a timeless psychic wave where we access information/directions about our life through the ephemeral landscape of dreams, synchronicity and other elusive means. It is warm and inviting and we might want to surrender completely to it. Listen to what is coming through. This is a time of healing.

There are some inexplicable forces arising in the dark corners of our psyche. Can we decipher their symbols?

Who is in charge?

Moon in Pisces

Like the waves of the ocean, our moods are susceptible to the changing of tides. The social medias are becoming a sort of collective brain we tap into, to get the general ”socio-cultural weather”. This of course, is a very subjective experience depending on what type of news you read.

The friends you associate with on facebook, twitter, instagram and the pages you follow will generally dictate your news feed. Our experience of social media is curated to our own like and dislike.

We can apply the same ideas, to our perception of reality.  To a certain extent, we can only know what we know and experience life through the lens of our own standpoint. We live in a metaphorical ”fish bowl” believing it is the sea. We might intuit that there is more than meets the eye, but we can never be certain.

Albert Henry Collings (1858-1947) – The Fish Bowl

What keeps us believing that there is more?  What do we tap into when we connect to our higher ideals of compassion and trust? What is this all-encompassing feeling of faith?Where does our spiritual awareness comes from and how can it be such a strong guiding light while being so elusive? To know or understand something because of what you feel or sense rather than because of evidence.

The instability of the world tends to bring us back to faith very quickly. Shifting our perception from outer to inner, connecting to this mysterious and ever flowing river. We often do this through prayers and meditation but it can also be done very easily through music, art, poetry our whichever feeds your soul. We are all made of the same stuff but we vibrate to different tunes.

The Moon will be in Pisces for the next 2 days.  Tonight, she will square Saturn and meet Neptune, triggering the upcoming square. In astrology, the all-encompassing feeling of faith and the elusive but healing spiritual waters are the domain of Neptune. Neptune sometimes gets a bad rap since the planet is also connected with escapism, delusions and fantasy. It can go both ways.  In fact it can go in all the ways you can and cannot imagine.

How to
It is best to surrender to the Moon in Pisces, knowing that the overwhelming rainbows of feelings are only passing sensations/images. Use this window as an exercise in surrendering. Feed your soul the proper food. Music, poetry, dance, prayer, love, magic or whatever floats your boat. Know that the impressions you are getting at the moment might not be totally aligned with reality. This can be a creative aspect as long as you are aware that you might not be seeing the whole picture. There could be a big piece of the puzzle missing.

The upcoming Saturn/Neptune square cautions us against the total denial of reality. You will need to throw your anchor down somewhere. The urge to escape, love everyone, sacrifice yourself for peace, become an enlightened creature and heal the world, must be tempered with a good dose of pragmatism.  Watch the sensations that arises in the next few days while the Moon is in Pisces, take notes.

Those emotions/sensations/intuitions/illuminations/denials, will most likely need calibration against the hard concrete walls of Saturn soon enough.
