People who know how to use the phases of the moon have better chance of success in all they undertake, whether material or spiritual. The period of the waxing moon favours all natural growth; so according to the law of analogy that governs the universe, we must always choose this period if we want to construct something, or begin an important project in our lives. If we work according to the phases of the moon, this divine law goes into action. The plan itself can be drawn up at any time, but once it has been decided to go ahead, the work of realization must begin during the waxing moon. And if you want to bring some venture to a close, it is better to do so when the moon is waning. The moon is linked to material achievement, whether it be the beginning or the ending.

Let the purifying waters of objectivity wash over you.
Stepping outside of our instinctual urges and embracing a path that serves our highest principles.
The New Moon is a time for planting new seeds.
Where can you implement new ways of being into your daily actions that are more in agreement with the visions you hold for yourself but also for humankind and the planet?
Do you feel ready to step outside of yourself and participate more actively in the collective? What contributions are you willing to make to help humanity get out of its archaic ways?
Since this New Moon is square to Mars in Scorpio, we must watch for self-righteousness and holding on too firmly to our point of views. It highlights the contrast between our lower instinctual nature and the voice of reason.
We must be willing to step outside of our navel gazing activities and into a meaningful participation with the collectivity. Is it possible to be passionate about a cause that is dear to our heart while simultaneously making space for others to participate and contribute with their own visions?
A lot of things are wrong with the world and we are all contributing to it.
What steps are you willing to make to implement small but important changes?
I don’t want to make a long post about the Full Moon since enough digital ink has been spilled on the subject. Here is a quick debriefing and a beautiful drawing from Vanya Vukelić. I found her on Instagram and I feel like her art is representative of the Cancer symbolism.
The Moon will be full on Friday, December 25, 2015 at 6:11 AM EST and it is in the feminine and watery sign of Cancer.
Cancer relates to the images of the Mother, the Goddess, our roots and ancestral memory our family and traditions. It is a nurturing and intimate Full Moon and perfect for those who will be reuniting with their loved ones for Christmas.
If you are interested in taking the symbolism of this Full Moon in Cancer a step further, I invite you to read this great article about theLost Female Figures of Christmas.
Get back to the roots of your motivation. What is it that you want? Go to the basement (Moon opposing Pluto) and clear the space, organize (Sun in Virgo) your thoughts. Get clear about your feelings. Sort it out.
If your basement is flooded, start the process of cleaning it up. Find practical solutions. But most importantly rest, regenerate and don’t over-schedule.
We are a few days before a Solar Eclipse/New Moon at 20º Virgo on September 12/13. Which will be a great reset button for intentions around healing, health and new fitness regime.
Until then purify, detoxify, nurture your body and lay low.
