“I see that I’ve become a really bad correspondent. It’s not that I don’t think of you.
You come into my thoughts often. But when you do it appears to me that I owe you a particularly grand letter. And so you end in the “warehouse of good intentions”:

and with death–because one can’t die with so many obligations in storage.

The week begins with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon void of course in Libra until it enters Scorpio late Monday evening. Monday is a (parenthesis) before the week officially begins and an opportunity to sharpen our tools for the work that lays ahead of us. A necessary period of inner refinement, adjusting our compass and vision as we find ourselves oscillating between our instinctual-desire-nature and our rational-pragmatic-intellect.

Constructive actions in tandem with inspired insights permeates this week. There is a lot of juicy momentum and it could even feel as if things are moving waaaay too fast for you to catch a break. Productivity is high on the list right now, and as a result procrastination hangs like a shadow over our game plan.

The soul craves synthesis while the mind dissects every aspects of existence.

The Moon will travel in Scorpio until late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning when it enters Sagittarius. The Moon in Sagittarius all day Thursday (Jupiter’s day) applies to a conjunction with Jupiter. The First Quarter Moon happens at 13º Sagittarius this month when it squares the Sun at 13º Virgo.

The First Quarter Moon is a time of action or crisis when the plans that were laid at the New Moon in Virgo on the 30th of August are being challenged or are starting to gain traction. This First Quarter Moon brings attention to our big idea or vision and the execution of this particular vision or idea. We have to trust that we will get there but we also have to put in the efforts required to get there.

Perspective gets lost when we spend too much time on the details (Virgo). However it can also be hard to execute a big idea if we don’t delineate a practical way to get there (Sagittarius). You could feel overwhelmed by the amount of preparation necessary for the execution of your idea/goal, losing perspective on where you were going it in the first place. Or it could be that you are so taken by your big project that you totally brush over the details and neglect some important steps in the process.

The Moon in Sagittarius will be next to Jupiter at the time of the First Quarter Moon on Friday September 7th – giving us a huge boost of confidence and faith that ”everything will turn alright”. We KNOW what we have to do, but it doesn’t mean we have the discipline to do it. It’s one thing to know, it’s another thing entirely to repeat the process day after day to install a new routine, a new program that will lead us to a new helpful habit. There is a conflict between knowing and executing, between an idea and the implementation of that idea into a tangible process. Time and patience is required as nothing is born overnight and it’s a good idea to keep that in mind as you navigate Virgo season and find yourself going over everything that remains to be done. Be patient and be happy for the process, because every step of the process is what eventually leads you to the desired result.

The Moon enters Capricorn Saturday morning, and here we are again, back at the working bench, at the drawing table with our plans and our to-do lists, and the burden of all that remains to be done. Time is slipping away so fast, and there are still too many details to deal with. We are not quite as healthy, productive, efficient, and successful as we could be, and it could all be too obvious next weekend. The Moon travels in Capricorn next Saturday and Sunday, convincing us that there are vegetables to harvest and preserve, fire wood to split, renovations to do, and all kinds of work left to be done. Not the most relaxing weekend but a productive one I hope.

Most planets traveling in the Earth element (Taurus – Virgo – Capricorn)  means it’s a great time to get stuff done, but terrible for anxiety around status, work, income, discipline, and habits. Don’t compare yourself too much. You are exactly where you are suppose to be; trust your process.

“You have to believe. Otherwise, it will never happen.”

Out of perfection nothing can be made.
Every process involves breaking something up.
Joseph Campbell

And just like that, Virgo season is here, and this is definitely one of the most grounding time of the year when we can see the results and the reasons of the past. Not only do we have a stellium in Virgo (stellium: 4 or more planets in the same sign), the New Moon on Friday August 30th is positively supported by Uranus in Taurus. It is a time of traction and implementation for what is being birthed in your life. The new structures that are emerging on the horizon are starting to make sense and you can begin to see the tangible manifestations of your long held visions, the birth of a new awareness, a new reality.

The wish you whispered half consciously under your breath while sleeping is surrounding you. The faint light that guided you through the storm is now your illumination. There is a clarity about the events in your life and a reason for everything. Nothing is perfect but you might be able to accept that all the imperfect decisions has led you exactly where you are.

Witness your powers of manifestation for better or for worst.

Until the new moon in Virgo on Friday, we stand in the liminal darkness of the waning Moon, the dark of the Moon. Slowdown your pace, reflect, contemplate, clean, cleanse, purge, stretch, create space for the wisdom to enter, collect the strength from the Earth, lay low.

Monday: Moon in Cancer
Tuesday: Moon in Cancer – Moon enters Leo at 21:23 NDT
Wednesday: Moon in Leo
Thursday: Moon in Leo – Moon enters Virgo at 21:27 NDT
Friday: New Moon in Virgo 8:07am NDT
Saturday: Moon in Virgo – Moon enters Libra at 20:37 NDT
Sunday: Moon in Libra

The New Moon in Virgo takes place on Friday August 30th at 8:07am NDT/6:37am EDT. The New Moon signals the beginning of the work, a time of creation and implementation, of ”to-do” lists, of tangibility and manifestation, a time of taking advantage of the resources available to you, utilizing your space and body properly and efficiently. All the small actions that leads to the whole, it’s happening now. Your breath, the way you chew your food, your digestion, your posture. The superfluous will seem extra superfluous while you find a purpose for everything. Each little things in their place, there is a place for everything, and no space wasted.

The New Moon is linked to the revolutionary ways in which you approach the ordinary. Set your intentions, but don’t set them to high as to be discouraged. Plant your intentions in the realm of the possible, the tangible, the practical, something that will yield a satisfactory result down the road, every step counts, every action has meaning.

Wood sculpture by Yoshitoshi Kanemaki

“Your thoughts, become your words;
your words, become actions;
your actions, become habits;
your habits, become your character;
your character,  becomes your destiny.”

WEEK OF AUGUST 19, 2019

He, who every morning plans the transactions of the day, and follows that plan,
carries a thread that will guide him through a labyrinth of the most busy life.
Victor Hugo

The week begins with the Moon in Aires. The Moon enters Taurus Wednesday at 00:38 EDT and will travel though Taurus until Friday morning when the Moon enters Gemini at 10:34am. The last quarter Moon happens at 0º Gemini, officially initiating the mutable Earth season with the Sun having just entered Virgo. The Moon travels through Gemini until late Sunday afternoon when it enters Cancer at 17:05 EDT.

This week, with 3 planets moving from Leo to Virgo we are getting a good glimpse of what the next month has in store for us. Mars left the sign of Leo for Virgo early Sunday morning and Venus follows suit on August 21st, leaving the brazen fires of Leo for the humbling pastures of Virgo. On August 23rd, the Sun leaves its domicile of Leo to enter Virgo, officiating the Mutable Earth season. However, with Mercury (ruling planet of Virgo) still in Leo, we are holding onto the golden rays and royal ways, and not entirely dedicated to the practical applications of our vision until Mercury enters Virgo on August 29th.

Mars →Virgo: August 18 – 1:17am EDT
Venus →Virgo: August 21 – 5:06am EDT
Sun →Virgo: August 23 – 6:01am EDT

THE PROCESS
With the Sun’s ingress into the Earth sign of Virgo, we begin the process of sorting out what needs tending. Virgo season brings our attention and focus on the many task that lays ahead of us, illuminating what needs to be organized, smoothed, resolved and eliminated for us to find proper footing. With the heavy influence of the Earth element in the next few weeks, our attention will be on the practical and tangible ways in which we can establish order in our daily lives and in our bodies. Simplifying, streamlining, and putting back the tools in their proper place, becoming aware of all the little ways in which we are not yet fully efficient, proficient and perfect. Anxiety is a shadow that looms large over Virgoan-type people, for there is always ways in which one can improve themselves, and this process is never done. Quality resides in the critical eye for better or for worst. Perfection is not a burden for the artisan, but a guiding principle informing his repetitive actions which over time becomes the perfect object. Practice makes perfect as they say.

THE MATERIAL
This year, we have a tight alignment of planets in the sign of Virgo which does not happen every year. This should greatly intensify the influence of the sign on our daily lives. Virgo is one of the three Earth signs considered in astrology to be primarily focused on the tangible and the practical necessities of material reality, the other two being Taurus and Capricorn.

Since we already have Uranus transiting in Taurus and Saturn/Pluto/South Node in Capricorn, the ingress of Mars, Venus and the Sun into the sign of Virgo this week will saturate the skies with planets in Earth signs. During the next few weeks, our attention will turn towards our material reality and how to improve it. We could find ourselves busy creating order out of the chaotic and disparate parts of our lives in order to improve it and be more productive. Productivity will be high on the priority list and you could find yourself overwhelmed with the work load while juggling all of your responsibilities. Procrastination will create more anxiety and I have seen many Virgo-type characters driving themselves mad with anxiety and stress while procrastinating. Don’t shy away from the work you have to do as this will surely release some of the inner tension.

This week, the transition of three planets from Leo to Virgo will be quite obvious as we find ourselves moving from the Fixed Fire season to the Mutable Earth season. In the Northern Hemisphere, Virgo season announces the end of Summer and the transition towards Fall. The preparation required for the return of the cold and the waning of the light prompts us to organize ourselves, and it is a time of movement and busy-ness. The structures in our lives will be vitalized and it’s a great time to organize your space and make it more functional. In the next couple of weeks, the emphasis is on our physical reality and tending to the smaller details of our existence like our body and our environment. However, the possibility of scattering ourselves through too many projects/avenues or being overly critical and preoccupied with perfection is a tendency to watch for during the next few weeks. It’s a good idea to temper the critical voice within you, and use this time to get ahead.

WEEK OF AUGUST 5th, 2019: OUR PRIDE AND AFFECTIONS

 Artwork by Jasper Goodall

Stand straight, walk proud, have a little faith
-Garth Brooks

The week begins with the Moon in Libra until it enters Scorpio on Tuesday signalling the First Quarter Moon. The Moon enters Sagittarius on Thursday, and remains on the archer’s territory until early Sunday morning when it enters Capricorn. The First Quarter Moon is a time of action and momentum when we are challenged to implement what was seeded at the New Moon and push forward.

SPIRIT
Passion burns hot this week as we move deeper into Leo season and straight into the heart of summer. The Sun in the second decan of Leo is bright indeed and Venus blinded by the rays inches closer and closer to the royal throne. By August 14, Venus will disappear completely into the Sun purifying herself in a baptism of light, rebirthing as an evening ”star”. The Sun and Venus in Leo will set the mood this week with loud and colourful roars and regal displays. Pride and affection for what we have created, what we have become, what we value and love is sure to be a theme. We might be moved to expose the content of our heart’s joys for all to see while other folks might dowse themselves in just-a-little-bit too much perfume.

FAITH
The Sun in Leo is moving towards a trine with Jupiter in Sagittarius (exact on Wednesday) and this should give us the ability to say YES more. This easy going and joyful sky is giving us plenty of reasons to celebrate life and make the difficult things a little bit easier to bare. Jupiter stations direct on August 11 after moving retrograde since April 10, 2019. On the same day, Mercury enters Leo and Uranus stations retrograde in Taurus creating a lot of momentum which culminates on Sunday. The Moon entering Sagittarius on Thursday (Jupiter’s day) gives the signal to launch the fireworks, release the helium balloons, cut the red ribbon, and trust that it will all work out. There is a hopeful quality that permeates the week and it is an excellent time to gain perspective on what remains to be accomplished while elevating your standards. Fill your engine to the brim with the potentiality latent in your dreams and aim higher. This is a time of joy, faith and courage; send your prayers and show gratitude accordingly.

THE SALES PITCH
Mercury re-enters the Lion’s den on Sunday at 15:45 EDT after having turned retrograde here in Leo before moving back into the sign of Cancer for most of July. If there is still a faint tinged of longing permeating our minds this week, it will definitely subside by Sunday. The radio stations which until now played a series of nostalgic and sappy songs will now be showcasing ”The Greatest Hits of all Time”. Mercury can be persuasive in the sign of Leo especially when supported by Jupiter. If you have to sell your salad ( convince someone), now and in the next few weeks is a good time to do so. You can expect however that everyone at the market will also have the best salad to sell; you could find yourself shouting in order to be heard.

The Fixed season of Leo is a time of conviction and this year Jupiter in Sagittarius is boosting the signal. Depending on natal disposition some folks might be totally blinded by their beliefs, their pride, and their ideas. Moderate the enthusiasm with healthy dose of reflection before launching headfirst into a debate or a venture. Measured risk and optimism will be rewarded while hubris and arrogance could alienate others but overall, it’s an excellent week.

GROW• GLOW• SHIMMER: NEW MOON IN LEO

Bruce Pennington, 1973

The month of July ends with a New Moon in Leo which will be exact at 23:12 EDT on July 31st. A few minutes later, Mercury stations direct in Cancer after being retrograde since the 7th of July. The New Moon in Leo and Mercury direct initiates us into the month of August, on the other side of eclipse season and in the bright light of the Sun who is at home in the sign of Leo.

→ Look to where the New Moon in Leo is taking place in your birth chart to understand where the focus is  for this upcoming lunation. The Full Moon in Aquarius on August 14 will see a culmination in the opposite house to where Leo sits and you can expect the next few weeks to highlight both the Leo and Aquarius house topics in your chart.

After a month of gestation, we enter a period of rationality and brilliance which will allow us to study in clear daylight, the pearls of wisdom that were birthed in the eclipses shadows. The intuitive epiphanies regarding certain roadblocks and detours inherited from the past, and the revelations contained in our personal biographies can now be observed with a certain lucid detachment as a fresh chapter emerges on the horizon. The page is blank, the fruits are ripped, and fresh intentions are being initiated with the conviction that we really do deserve the best of the best.

Honour and pride is on the menu in the first half of August. Leo season is a time of courage and conviction, of stepping up to the plate and having the guts of embodying your role with confidence. Now is a time for recognizing your accomplishments, your worth, and to show up with your best face on, trusting that you know exactly how its done.

Shimmering sparkles arising from the light – hypnotizing with a fiery glow – a magnetizing charisma containing the warmth of love and attraction. Thirsty, the seeker extends a hand towards the object of power –  hoping to catch its radiance and become a God.

Jupiter stations direct in Sagittarius on August 11, after being retrograde since mid-April and this should help boost our confidence level. On the same day, Mercury enters Leo setting the ego ablaze as Uranus turn retrograde in Taurus until next eclipse season in January 2020.

Micheal Heizer

The Full Moon in Aquarius takes place on August 14, just as Venus in Leo reaches her superior conjunction moving behind the Sun. This marks the time when Venus transition from the morning to evening sky. Venus will be visible as a bright evening “star” in the sky after sunset in September and October 2019.

The Full Moon in Aquarius brings a culmination in regards to our own needs and desires versus the desires of the whole. Certain people might be accused of selfishness during this time as we try to reconcile our values with the values of others. Venusian matters will certainly be on our mind in mid-August and a division could be felt in regards to the practical versus the superfluous. We might feel more indulgent and deserving and this could create some friction with others who are also trying to get their piece of cake. Brash and dramatic displays of superiority are also possible as egos collide; even if you know best, you might not be heard in the cacophony of roars.

Mars enters Virgo on August 18, followed by Venus on August 21st, and the Sun on August 23rd. The second half of the month will contain a lot more planets in Earth elements bringing pragmatism to our ambitions, and practical steps to reach our goals. The heated passions being felt in the first weeks of August will find proper outlets by the end of the month as we slowly come back down to Earth with the gifts of Fire. The last week of August sees a Mars/Venus conjunction in Virgo supported by a trine to Uranus; you will know exactly what to do and how to do it.

Love and passion, passion and beauty, beauty and lust, lust and novelty, novelty and pleasure, pleasure and discovery, discovery and freedom, freedom and connection, connection and soul.

The New Moon in Virgo takes place early on August 30th at 6 degrees of Virgo signalling fresh momentum in the part of your chart where Virgo is located. This should be a fantastic lunation to organize and take care of details that were ignored in the last few months. Delineating a schedule or a plan for your goals should help relieve some of the anxiety. It could feel like a lot needs to be done and September promises to be a good month to get on track. Organization will be high on the priority list and a clear action-plan will support your efforts towards reaching your objectives. The New Moon in Virgo trining Uranus, carries the promise of self-sufficiency born out of efforts.

WEEK OF MAY 6, 2019 : ELECTRICAL BUZZING

The Moon is in Gemini to begin the week and the ruler of Gemini: ☿Mercury☿, enters Taurus later today and will conjunct Uranus in Taurus by Wednesday.⚡️

☿-Mercury influences communication (written-spoken), ideas, and the overall translation of the intellect into words. Mercury entering Taurus means that our thoughts will turn towards the more practical side of our lives with an emphasis on the material resources we have at our disposition. Planning, engineering, and accounting are some things that Mercury in Taurus is good at. Mercury will be in Taurus until May 21st.

♅-Uranus is sometime described as the higher octave of Mercury. Uranus amongst other things, is associated with the future and innovation. It’s the stroke of genius, the lighting bolt, the eureka moment.

The Mercury-Uranus conjunction is a big vibe this week. It’s rut-busting, innovative but grounded and practical all at once. This aspect could translate in a million different ways but you can expect a buzzing or febrility in the air like you are on the verge of a big discovery.

Magic, synchronicity and new ideas abound for those who are attuned to it.

Mars in Gemini is still in a tight opposition with Jupiter in Sagittarius and this could translate into energy and mind power, especially while the Moon travels in Gemini Monday and Tuesday. At its worst, this aspect can translate into over-confidence, arrogance or impulsivity.

The Moon enters Cancer Wednesday morning and moves into Leo Friday morning until Sunday afternoon when she enters Virgo.

We also have Venus in Aries squaring Saturn in Capricorn on Tuesday, Venus in Aries trining Jupiter in Sagittarius Thursday afternoon and squaring Pluto in Capricorn late Thursday night. That is a lot of Venus action for the week and Venus in Aries is currently ruling the planets in Taurus.

Money and relational matters could be shifting or needing readjustment. It’s a good time to delineate clear boundaries and manage your time. Venus in Aries favour doing it by yourself as oppose to waiting for someone to come along. The mood is sort of ruthless in that regard. Focus on your advancement and don’t waste too much of your time on dodgy, slippery scenarios or people as patience could be lacking.

It’s an excellent week to continue investing your time and energy in advancing yourself, your projects and whatever else you are working on since a lot of progress can be made. Don’t shy away from the hard work. It’s an overall creative and productive time.

Get lost and find your flow. Week of March 4, 2019

This week, we have Mercury stationing retrograde on Tuesday at  1:17pm EST. Mercury is retrograde for most of the month of March and even though there is no need to freak out about Mercury retrograde periods (since it happens 3 times a year), this one will be particularly ”foggy” as it is happening in Pisces (the sign of Mercury’s detriment) and Neptune will be quite active all month. Chances of missing important details increases and so are the chances of getting distracted. This month will be excellent for creative flow without too many rigid structures.

Wednesday, Uranus officially enters the sign of Taurus signalling a new era of technology, innovations, and breaking away from the status quo. Think back on how far you have come since 2011 to now (the time it took Uranus to travel through the sign of Aries) and how in may ways, you are starting a new chapter that is taking you further and further away from the person you were 8 years ago. Uranus ingress into an Earth sign can also bring some surprises this week; expect the unexpected.

Wednesday afternoon, a New Moon in Pisces will conjunct Neptune. This week is filled with impression and hunches as we get lured by half conscious visions of our hopes for the future. A New Moon signals the beginning of the Lunar Month. The seeds and intentions planted at this time will become visible around the Full Moon in Libra on the 21st of March. What is being fertilized/conceptualized at this time for you? Look at the House where Pisces sits in your birth chart for clues of where confusion and inspiration are likely to show their faces for you.

Thursday, the Sun conjunct Neptune; the fog machine is turn on high as we slip between fantasy, irrational fears, and wishful thinking. Neptune dissolves the shapes and boundaries of hard materialism. Is it all there is to reality? Or is something bigger at work here? Neptune gives a desire for transcendence; it makes us want to believe that there is more than meet the eyes. Neptune is the muse or the ghost. Neptune at its worst can turn the anxiety on high as we feel riddled with ungraspable fears, something just beyond our conscious awareness. Pisces season can also be a time of empathy, compassion, confusion or sadness as we can feel more vividly the pain of the world. A good season for generosity and compassion.

On a mundane level, ”fake news” will surely be a big thing this month so be careful about the information you ingest and be discerning! When possible, it’s a good time to tune out and practice meditation, mindfulness or simply go out in nature to bring you back to centre.

Have and excellent week and enjoy those Piscean Waters!

MERCURY RETROGRADE: VISION & REFINEMENT

Mercury will (appear to) be moving backward in the sign of Sagittarius from December 3rd to December 22/23rd, 2017. Retrograde periods highlight the need to organize, revise and reenvison aspects of our lives. Sometimes this happens voluntarily and sometime it is imposed on us by unforeseen circumstances.

To understand how this might affect you, locate the house with Sagittarius on the cusp in your birth chart; the affairs of that house will be up for review.  If you have an Ascendant, Sun, Moon or Mercury in the sign of Sagittarius or Gemini, this retrograde will be more significant especially if your Ascendant or planet is between 13º and 29º of either signs.

WHAT TO DO DURING THIS UPCOMING RETROGRADE?

Sort out what matters and what doesn’t anymore.

Discard old ideas and beliefs that have become burdensome or obsolete.

Contemplate the passage of time and what it means to be growing older and wiser.

Acknowledge what you want in the grand scheme of things, versus what you do on a day-to-day basis to get there.

Honesty and moral courage will be highlighted during this time.

When the desire to find the truth becomes a rhetorical dead-end, what’s next?

At its worst, this retrograde could bring gloomy or depressive thinking, a loss of faith or a feeling of being blocked by something beyond your control.

There could be an urge to control your thoughts and a difficulty expressing yourself freely. In some circumstances, you might need to ”Let go and Let God”.

In other circumstances you might need to seriously consider rectifying something that has become out of control.

What happens when the sacrifice you are making are loosing their meaning?

What happens when the path you are on is NOT leading you where you want to go?

Taking a step back from something in order to gain perspective and looking at the big picture.

Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius could mean: A re-evaluation of your core beliefs, a shift of perspective, a change of direction and a quest for meaning.

What does ”control” means to you? Do you consider yourself a control-freak? If so, what step can you take to release the grip?

It’s a great time to reflect on social-media, the place it has in your life and how you utilize this tool to your advantage or disadvantage.

IDEAS, DISCIPLINE, AND VISION-SHAPING

If you have a BIG idea or if you are working towards a goal, this retrograde will help you refine your vision.

The awareness needed to gage the REAL amount of work needed to accomplish a goal will be available; don’t let this clarity become a burden and use it to your advantage.

From now until mid-January is your opportunity to write your plan or revise the existing one.

If you are contemplating a new path, a new venture, or a new way of doing things, this retrograde will help you delineate your course of action.

This retrograde is about setting realistic goals, the willingness to roll up your sleeves, and the willingness to invest the time and effort necessary.

Inspiration and creative ideas are available but will remain in the realm of possibilities as long as you don’t take concrete steps; thinking about something doesn’t make it happen.

If the time has come to realize an idea or a project, it is up to you to act on it before someone else does.

From now until mid-January is your opportunity to scheme; discipline is available.

Things may take longer than anticipated; be pragmatic and realistic when delineating your plan without becoming defeatist.

The reality is, things take time; don’t let this fact discourage you.

To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom. –Bertrand Russell

GENERAL OBSERVATIONS

Mercury retrograde begins on December 3rd and ends on December 22/23rd, 2017. Saturn is a big player in this upcoming retrograde. Whatever transpires of this cycle could play out until mid-January when Mercury meets up with Saturn for its 3rd and final conjunction in the sign of Capricorn.

Since the ruler of Mercury in Sagittarius is Jupiter in Scorpio, the themes of secrecy and revelations will continue to be strongly highlighted.

Mercury trine Uranus on November 25th before meeting up with Saturn on November 28th and turning retrograde on December 3rd. An emerging idea, a revelation, a new situation, a vision, or simply a new approach to an old conundrum could be a strong theme in December. The shape of things to come, an idea and the discipline required to materialize it, will be strong undercurrents.

On December 3rd, Jupiter in Scorpio (ruling over Mercury) trine Neptune in Pisces while Mercury stations retrograde. There is also a Full Moon in Gemini on the same day ruled by Mercury retrograde. There is an overwhelming amount of work and so much things to think about. You might be tempted to find the closest escape route. Don’t let anxiety or fear cripple your mind. A good day to practice breathing exercise and meditation. This Full Moon highlights the dichotomy between beliefs and facts, visions and ideas, and the realization that it will take a lot more work than originally thought to get where we want to be.

The New Moon in Sagittarius on December 17 will see its ruler Jupiter in Scorpio, square the Nodes of the Moon while Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius trine the Nodes. On December 21st, Saturn enters Capricorn and Mercury station direct the next day; destiny is calling.

On the Chiron/Saturn square

The Moon is in Pisces and will meet Neptune later tonight. This can be both mystical and transcending as the Sun (in Scorpio) and the Moon are in deeply intimate waters right now. We could feel more impressionable and inspired with our attention turned towards spiritual matters.

Tomorrow night, the Moon in Pisces will conjunct Chiron and trigger the Chiron/Saturn square, just in time for Halloween.

The Chiron/Saturn square is the big signature aspect this week and it is both difficult and rewarding. We could be aware of old wounds while also being ready to move on from that space of hurt.

This aspect is a mixture of realization around painful truth and healing. You could feel sensitive and self-conscious of your downfalls while experiencing some closure around them. It’s like having the raw awareness of where it hurts in order to locate the pain, forgive yourself and hopefully move on.

It’s hard and edgy but also rewarding if you make the effort to be honest with yourself. It calls for maturity around our most vulnerable selves.

“I said: what about my eyes?
He said: Keep them on the road.

I said: What about my passion?
He said: Keep it burning.

I said: What about my heart?
He said: Tell me what you hold inside it?

I said: Pain and sorrow.
He said: Stay with it.
The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”

LIBRA/LIBRA RISING ♎︎

For the last year Libra, you have been blessed by the transit of Jupiter in your sign. Of course, not everything was smooth sailing, but the planet most often associated with expansion and luck has been sitting in your sign since September 2016. You have benefited from opportunities to broaden your mind, and perhaps this has helped you open to new possibilities. It could also mean that this last year has seen you imbued with greater courage to step outside of your comfort zone physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In some shape and form, this last year has given you new pathways to explore and the courage to say YES more often. Jupiter will leave your sign on October 10th for a year-long transit in the sign of Scorpio. This means that you have 10 more days to give thanks to the guru planet. Find a moment to reflect on the positive advancements and opportunities of the last year. Gratitude and a flexible mind are the blessings of Jupiter; think about where you have benefited from adopting a positive attitude and what opportunities arose from saying yes more often.

Partnership will be a big theme in October and the obligations and commitments made to others are highlighted. The Full Moon in Aries on October 5th accentuates the dichotomy of your needs versus the needs of other people in your life which is so inherent to your sign. You could be in need of a more solid demonstration of love from a partner, or it could be that someone else requires this from you. Overall, the first week of October has a sobering effect and you will have to attend to the unpleasant details of a partnership while simultaneously craving ease and pleasure.

Venus, your ruling planet, moves into your sign on October 14 and this will help smooth out the hard edges.  However, October remains a dynamic period for Libras. The New Moon in your sign on October 19 will be opposed to the revolutionary planet Uranus. A New Moon is the beginning of a new cycle; a time when seeds are planted. This particular New Moon in Libra is your personal reset button. This is an opportunity to break free from old habitual patterns, especially the ones connected to partnerships. Something could be pushing you to radically change your course of action or discard what is stale in your life. Whether this is coming from you, or pushed upon you, remains to be seen but there are a few things you can do to maximize the insights and minimize the surprises. Air out your assumptions about relationships and be honest about what belongs to you and what is not your problem. Accept and recognize what is no longer working in your life and find pro-active solutions to remediate your discontent. Cultivate a state of honesty with yourself and others to ensure a solid foundation on which healthy relationships can flourish.

SCORPIO/SCORPIO RISING
♏︎

When I peer into your future Scorpio, I see a strong desire for regenerating adventures, and also more opportunities to do so. In order for you to tune in to the synchronicities that will help you establish new pathways, you must first clean the many assumptions cluttering your mind. Some of these assumptions could be connected to comfort, relationships and an uncontrollable desire to merge. I think you know what I am talking about. In the last year, you have slowly realized that your desire for intimacy locks you in a sort of self-defeating trance. Upon entering a relationship, part of you is on hold, on a shelf, and out of reach while you preoccupy yourself with the woes of your lover. This is quite admirable, but it is also becoming quite obvious that your happiness suffers as a result. Deconstructing your relationship patterns should serve you well this month. It won’t solve everything, but illuminating your relationship mechanics will help you control your impulses a little bit better. Remember that not everything is set in stone; see where you are adopting a fatalistic attitude that keeps you locked in. You have the power to dislodged these old rusty wheels and change your gears. The first step will be to connect with the uglier truth hiding behind your relationship habits. Half the battle will be to establish contact with your fears and to temper your impulses to merge.

On October 10, Jupiter, the planet of joy and abundance, moves into your waters for a whole year. Jupiter is closely linked to the ability of generating fortune and luck in our lives. This means that you have an entire year to change your attitude in regards to what you think you deserve. How deserving do you feel and what is your relationship to wealth? Cultivating an attitude of openness and gratitude is a well-known hack to multiply your blessings. What does gratitude and contentment mean to you? Can you see the bigger picture in your current limitations and extract the silver lining? Is there a way you can create more space for new opportunities to flow into your life? Don’t stress too much about getting it right all at once; you will have a whole year to play with these ideas. Being an optimist is a lot of work and it doesn’t necessarily come naturally to Scorpios, but this year will show you how.

The New Moon in Libra on October 19 invites you to air out your closet and make space for the new cycle of growth that is about to begin for you. Perhaps this involves letting go of burdensome responsibilities that are not yours to begin with. Be honest about self-defeating habits that are hampering your capacity to reach higher grounds. What aspects of your routine are you ready to let go of and what new practices are you ready to integrate? What does positive intensity mean to you? Can you find ways to feed your spirit the excitement that it craves without becoming self-destructive? Set your sights on mountain peeks.

Working with poisons require careful dosage as too much all at once can be lethal so start with a small amount.  In order to pursue the important partnerships in your life, you will be asked to come clean about certain psychological hang-ups or addictions. Getting familiar with the monsters might seem like a big hassle, but this will unfold naturally. AQUARIUS/AQUARIUS RISING
♒︎

There has been a lot of changes in the air in the recent months for you, Aquarius, and some of those changes came out of left field. Of course, you have dealt with these changes like a master improvisator, and you have worked well with the curve balls that were thrown at you. Unforeseen circumstances have shifted your perspective, and you have been questioning or re-envisioning what it is that you want for yourself. It could be that the shoe does not fit anymore, or that the trajectory you were walking is not leading you where you thought you wanted to be. Something is shifting and that is totally ok. Let the chips fall where they may.

Partnerships of all kind have a big role to play in your current state of mind, and October will be no exception. Being involved with others always bring some form of complication, and sometime we have to ask ourselves if it is worth the trouble. The sign of Aquarius is known for being mostly rational, or at least cool-headed in emotional situations. Decisions are usually based in connection to your own personal projects, and rarely do you make drastic moves on behalf of other people that prefer a slow approach to commitments. The Full Moon in Aries on October 5th is highlighting the polarity between your immediate surroundings and the promises of something distant and exotic. This polarity could also have something to do with an important partnership, and you could feel divided between the requirements of your current living arrangement and the desire for something out of your reach. Either way you put it, you will have to sort out your commitments to others this month.

Much can come from staying receptive to what other people are asking from you. You might also be surprised at how much pleasure you will derive from your partnerships. Let go of the rigid expectations you have for yourself and your agenda, and be flexible to what someone is offering at this time.

The New Moon in Libra on the 19th is your cue to heed to the call of a distant siren. Combining travel and education could be a great way to do this but good planning will be essential. It could also be that a love interest is on the horizon, but not immediately realistic. You will most likely have to tie many loose ends and delegate some of your responsibilities before it’s all said and done. This New Moon in Libra is also prompting you to reflect on the state of your relationships and the way you handle them. The current Eclipse cycle on the Leo/Aquarius axis is subtly weaving your destiny with the destiny of others and these stories will continue well into 2018. This month will show you who are the players in this thread, and what requirements are needed to maintain these relationships going. Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love.

It could be that a compromise will be needed to be reached between what is yours and what belongs to someone else. You might also need to rely on other people more than you would like, and your need for independence will be aroused. You are in the midst of finding the right balance between your personal authority while fulfilling your duties within a partnership. Communication is key, so do not shy away from stating your needs and this will help both parties find a fair arrangement.

On the 10th, Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces, dives into the dark waters of Scorpio for just over a year. This will be significant for you since Jupiter not only serve as the traditional ruler of Pisces, but will also be forming a supportive trine to your sign. Jupiter is considered to be the great benefactor, and usually brings some form of expansion in our lives. I like to think of Jupiter as the Yes man/woman. One important thing to remember about Jupiter’s upcoming transit in Scorpio is that you will have to actively participate in your growth in order to benefit from its bounty. It won’t be enough to wait for Jupiter to shower you with blessings; new opportunities will present themselves when you venture out of your comfort zone. Jupiter’s entry into Scorpio this month signals the beginning of an exploratory phase for you. With your gaze on the horizon, set your sail for the open sea and be prepared to travel in uncharted territory. This territory could be literal, or it could also have to do with yourself and other people’s psychological landscapes. You will have plenty of opportunities to understand intimacy and the power behind your interactions this year and you will definitely not content yourself with superficialities. Don’t be surprise if you find yourself digging deeper, fascinated by what is hidden and mysterious.

The New Moon in Libra on the 19th is your checkpoint around the ongoing themes of fairness, compromise and the ability to find the right equilibrium between your personal needs versus exterior demands. It is time to negotiate your agreements and contracts with others although, a compromising attitude might not be easy to find; you might feel like everyone is out for themselves and you are probably right. Your ability to remain open and flexible while moving with the changes operating in your life is your winning strategy. A diplomatic stance will definitely get you further than a combative one, and you might not see the immediate results of a long negotiation process. Peaceful resolution will be found after each party is allowed more freedom. An agreement can be reached, but not before careful and patient deliberations. Keep that in mind while you navigate the month of October and you will be surprise at how much you can accomplish.

This summer was an exciting one for you my dear Aries. The last several months were filled with serendipitous encounters and many new things have come into your life. Your ability to be receptive and open to change has a lot to do with your current blessings. Keep this in mind as we progress through the Fall and the light of the Sun decreases. Pay attention to the areas of your life that are asking for your full commitment and ask yourself if this is the direction you want to go.

In Astrology, the Moon is often linked to habits and the physical self. This Full Moon in your sign would be the perfect time to check-in with your body. How are you feeling? This balance might not be easy to find, so be patient with others, but especially be patient with yourself. Relationships of all kinds will require your attention. This is the time of the year when the recalibration of your needs versus the demands of the outside world is in full force. Agreements and partnerships which had worked until now will need adjustments. Collaborations and compromises are usually not your forte and you are known for being an independent and solitary trail blazer. During the next 13 months, you can expect a deepening of your existing relationship and a better understanding of the power dynamics contained within them.

October will also find you in the midst of redefining what you need to feel happy and content. Your perspective has evolved considerably in the last 6 months and your needs have changed with that perspective shift. Of course, your relationships play a big role in this equation, and your ability to ask for what you need is closely linked to your level of contentment. Living with ambiguity is not your strong point and you would rather have things well-defined and clear. People close to you might have been less than collaborative in the past several months, and getting a straightforward answer nearly – impossible. October should help considerably in this regard, and you will start to see exactly what others are willing to invest in you. You can expect an easier flow of communication, especially in your personal relationships. If you’ve avoided talking about a difficult issue with someone, the latter half of October will support you in airing things out.

You can choose to be busy for the sake of being busy and possibly create more stress, OR you can choose to be busy with something that will bring long-term rewards. Detaching yourself from people’s drama will also help you relax considerably. Even though you are well-intentioned, remember that it is not your responsibility to carry everyone’s burdens. You can regroup by letting go of your need to be all things for all people. It might seem daunting to put your foot down but you will not get the respect you deserve as long as you let others step all over you; learn to assert yourself clearly to avoid misunderstandings.

CANCER/CANCER RISING
♋︎

The beginning of the month finds you in a vague trance or reverie with your attention tuned on a distant world. It’s hard to say exactly what you are contemplating in this liminal space, but your mind is comfortable there. You might feel like spending all of your time in conversation with your muse, but the brightness of the Full Moon in Aries on the 5th will surely pull you out of your comfort zone and onto more pressing matters. Stress associated with work is possible, and you might have to contend with some unforeseen elements or frustrations. The Full Moon highlights the division you feel at the moment between your private life and the compromise needed to make a living. There are no easy solutions but careful and deliberate planning will work wonders this month. You have reached a saturation point with some elements of your career and you will need to make a decision in regards to where you are heading. You could be craving more financial autonomy and you have all the creative potential and skills to do so; you only need to start courageously walking in that direction.

Balancing the demands of your partnerships is a work in progress, and you should get many opportunities in October to practice the give and take needed to sustain healthy connections. An essential ingredient for successful relating is the ability to listen; it creates a space where the other person feels comfortable enough to speak freely. You, dear Cancer, have no problem with this part of the job, and we can easily say that you are a natural facilitator when it comes to making others open up. Your nurturing dispositions allow you to create a zone where people feel safe enough to be their vulnerable self. This is your super power and it is a mighty one; you are like a feather bed for the broken and a nourishing meal for the hungry. The question is: are you getting the same treatment in return? This month I want you to turn your formula upside down and practice asking for what you need. The last week of October should be pleasant with an emphasis on relationships and your base of operation. At the end of the day, you will need a quiet space to retire to. Without this space, your energy level will decrease. Recommit to creating a peaceful haven for yourself, even if that space is temporary. It might seem like a minor detail, but this delicate equilibrium will ensure the success of your current projects.

LEO/LEO RISING
♌︎

The Full Moon on October 5th illuminates the part of your chart that has to do with long distance travel, voyages and journeys that take us to unfamiliar territory. Your ruler, the Sun, is slowly losing its light here in the Northern Hemisphere and you might be craving more heat. You could find yourself longing for something far, something just outside of your reach, and not easily accessible. It could also be that you are in the midst of planning a trip, or reaching some sort of culmination in regards to an educational process. Whatever is going on in your life, this Full Moon shines her light on the road ahead. Long term goals will be on your mind, and you can start to clearly envision how to proceed. You could be feeling bold and impulsive and crave an immediate escape from your surroundings, but careful deliberation will show you otherwise.

Much of your October will be spent tying up loose ends. This could mean lots of phone calls, writing emails, and sorting out your finances. There are many opportunities available to you at this time, and it is more a matter of keeping your focus on the task at hand than launching bold new impulsive plans. You could be tempted to skip the tedious process of planning and budgeting, but your efforts to do so will pay off. You are starting to see the external results of a long and arduous creative process which is opening new doors for you. Until mid-October, Venus and Mars in Virgo in the financial sector of your chart is your key to the proper management of your assets. It could also speak to possible money-making opportunities being presented to you through your various connections.  Do not turn down social engagements or partnerships that could be lucrative. The New Moon in Libra on October 19th will come to reaffirm those possible partnerships and your desire to team up on an upcoming venture. You will need patience for the inherent volatility contained within one of these partnerships, but if you stay flexible you should be able to get what you want.

The last week of October signals the beginning of a new developing stage for you in regards to your sense of authority. Next year will bring many opportunities to step into a leadership role more actively. With all great power comes great responsibilities, and you will need to carefully reflect on what authority and influence means to you. The visibility that comes from being in a leadership role also means you are more exposed; the good bits as well as the darker parts. Here are some questions to begin your quest into the high grounds: Where do you fetch your powers? Are they coming from a contaminated well, or a crystalline spring? If there is any residual gunk at the core of your being inherited from past family dynamic or childhood, this next year will challenge you to meet them.

VIRGO/VIRGO RISING ♍︎

This month, you hold the secret of combining work and pleasure; consider making good use of this time. You will also have plenty of opportunities to refine the way you relate and to access your desires more readily. The push and pull and the mechanic of your needs will be obvious, and it should be easy to ask for what you need. What makes you tick will be pronounced, which mean it will also be easier to go after what you want. Any situations where there is an exchange of energy will be emphasized, and you should get plenty of opportunities to refine your bargaining skills. The themes of propriety and ownership, what is yours versus what belongs to others will be highlighted on the Full Moon in Aries of October 5th. Finding an arrangement between your money versus others/what is owed to you will be on the radar. You have an opportunity towards the end of the month to reset your financial stance, but first you need to tackle the long negotiation process to reach an agreement that is connected to shared assets. Keep in mind that you will probably not be able to get everything that you want, and you will most likely have to contend with some surprising elements. You can only control your own reactions in regards to a situation; you are not responsible for someone else’s mess. If you feel like you are being dragged down or depleted by someone else’s dilemmas you probably are. Trust your intuition and re-establish the boundaries that will help you stay level-headed and productive. Remember that before caring for others you must care for your own basic needs. Even though you might be tempted to sacrifice parts of yourself for the people you love remember where that has led you in the past. You need to insure your own health, your own sanity, and solidity before taking on a burden that is not even yours in the first place.

Around mid-October, it should be easy to reconnect with your muse, and this in turn could generate a flow of new and creative ideas. Do not readily dismiss the far-fetched ideas that pops into your mind at this time; write them down. Even though it is a good practice to keep a sense of proportion, it is not by staying in the limiting walls of conformity that we innovate. Following your inspiration could prove to be a lucrative business if you play your cards right. The correct measure of imagination and pragmatism is what you need to reinvent a money-making venture or simply to refresh the existing ones. The New Moon in Libra on the 26 of October invites you to write your own recipe for success. It should at least include one-part revolutionary ideas and one-part confidence in your ability to sustain yourself. Metamorphosis is hard work, but you are already halfway through the process and you can’t stop now.
