This week’s astrology highlights the transitional period we find ourselves in and the bigger tectonic shifts occurring in our world which is reflected by the movement of the planets.

There are a lot of overlapping aspects some of which have to do with the past and some which are a preview of things to come in the near future.

On a mundane level, the Full Moon in Capricorn sheds light on the old systems and societal constructs which have been on their way out for quite some time and slowly being replaced by the promise of the 200 year Air period which is upon us.

It would be too simplistic to isolate this Full Moon in Capricorn as being only relevant for this week, when we are amidst such foundational changes on a collective level. Things may look the same but deep down you may feel yourself, your priorities, and the world around you changing in surprising ways.

Pluto, planet of underworld transformation, has been traveling in Capricorn since 2008 and is about to enter the Air sign of Aquarius in the Spring of 2023. Pluto in Capricorn has done a fine job of exposing corrupt structures, especially since it came into a conjunction with Saturn in January of 2020 which saw the culmination of power-grabbing corporations hijacking the collective into a forced big-pharma coup, while shepherding consciousness into a collective virtual hallucination in order to contain, monitor, and profit from the masses.

Being ruled by Saturn, Capricorn has a lot to do with reality and accountability. Things are the way they are because x,y,z whether you like it or not. You can get with the program or you can move deeper into the hallucination while being coddled by ‘’The Powers that be Inc.’’

Saturn is currently transiting in Aquarius which is paving the way for Pluto’s entry next year into the sign of the Water Bearer. We are getting a glimpse of what it means to be moving through a triplicity shift (Earth to Air period) interacting with artificial intelligence and absorbing information and knowledge at an increasingly rapid pace. Our lives are being augmented by the quick synapses of AI, while we are coming to grasp with the deeper implications of the planned obsolescence of consumer culture and the industrialization of our food and nature.

The Full Moon in Capricorn sheds light on these themes as we slowly extricate ourselves from the dreams of our predecessors which held the suburban-nuclear-family-two-car-driveway-retirement-fund fantasy as the peak of success.

Chiron in Aries is a big player in the current astrology and offers healing, especially where you may have felt castrated out of your will and personal autonomy. It is not so much about giving up or being a victim but more so about surrendering to the pain in order to understand where it is coming from. Take your deepest dissatisfactions, frustrations and lay them in front of you. What are they made of? What is it trying to show you? Where is your power resting? Is it in your hands? Who is doing the dreaming?

Venus in Gemini forms a trine with Saturn in Aquarius while also squaring Neptune in Pisces. We can grow and benefit from the connections we make in the virtual world but the virtual world can easily become more real than the real world. We are walking a fine line between thinking that we are in control versus being influenced by things that bypass our conscious awareness. Where we focus our attention has never been so convoluted. Our body cannot differentiate between the experiences of the virtual world versus the experiences of the real world. We are saying goodbye to a way of being while thinking ourselves into the multiplicity of this 200 year Air period with all that it entails. Can you keep up?

Uranus in Taurus is and will continue to be activated in the weeks to come urging us out of our familiar comfort zone, prompting us to push on the boundaries of what we think is possible. If you feel compelled to think outside of the box, you are on the right track! The power is in your hands or is it?

“Television is by nature the dominator drug par excellence. Control of content, uniformity of content, repeatability of content make it inevitably a tool of coersion, brainwashing, and manipulation.”
― Terence McKenna

The week began with Mercury in Aquarius meeting the Sun which marks the half way point of its retrograde cycle. Mercury’s inferior conjunction with the Sun can represent a time of illumination and breakthroughs. You may be able to get back to an idea that started to emerge in mid-January or at least gain some traction with your thinking. Stay aligned with what your intuition is telling you.

Mercury in Aquarius is also applying to square Mars in Taurus, exact on Wednesday. The square between Mercury rx and Mars can bring arguments or tense situations to surface. Mercury square Mars can also be associated with rash thinking or jumping to conclusion too quickly. You may want things to happen faster than they can or be caught between what you want to do, versus what is possible which can feel frustrating. Much of the astrology of this whole year is about applying the right kind of pressure for things to evolve while also being aware of the breaking point. We also have to keep in mind that Mercury is still retrograde until the 20th.

The New Moon in Aquarius takes place on Thursday for a total of six planets transiting in Aquarius. The New Moon is a time of inception and with six planets in Aquarius, there is a lot of momentum available, especially in connection with the house where Aquarius sits in your chart. Just keep in mind that it will take time and probably some mental gymnastic to get where you want to go. Be open to changing your perception. You may also feel like you need more space than usual to process your thoughts and do your own thing, just don’t shut down people entirely as we truly need each other more than ever in order to create smaller networks of people who can provide each other with different services. We won’t be able to depend on the big corporation monopolizing the world right now and keep our autonomy simultaneously. Lets support the people as much as we can.

Venus conjunct Jupiter on Thursday morning which could help smooth out recent tensions you may have experienced. The conjunction of Venus and Jupiter can be harmonizing and bring the optimism we need to believe that things will all work out in the end. The Moon enters Pisces on Friday and could even magnify the conjunction of the two benefic planets, bringing some smooth sailing into the weekend.

The Sun enters Aquarius on Tuesday and the First Quarter Moon in Taurus arrives on Wednesday triggering the Mars/Uranus conjunction which is exact Wednesday evening in the East. We can expect this First Quarter Moon to highlight inherent tensions that have been building up since the end of 2020.

We are being challenged by the new forms and awareness emerging and it may be nearly impossible to reconcile our budding desires with our immediate restrictions at this time while we try to give our visions and obligations equal importance. You can look at the areas where Aquarius and Taurus sits in your chart to gain some perspective. Uranus in Taurus is pushing for new forms to emerge which requires freedom, independence and/or total liberation from the old forms, while the hyper-emphasis in Aquarius (because of Saturn, Jupiter, the Sun, Mercury and soon Venus all in Aquarius) highlights where you may be feeling like you need a solid plan for things to improve. You may feel blocked by circumstances outside of your control or need to spend time carefully planning. Things will take time. This tension will continue to be felt for the rest of 2021 but may be more present heading into this super concentrated Aquarius season.

On Saturday, the Sun conjunct Saturn in Aquarius which carries a sobering or realistic tone after the explosive and less compromising aspects of mid-week. You may need to temper your momentum or desires to break free at the risk of having to take sobering remedial measures down the road. On the other hand, you may need to break free of what is restricting you in order to pursue or evolve out of a stale situation.

Mercury is preparing to turn retrograde in less than two weeks and already transiting on the degrees where it will be moving back in a few weeks meaning that what we are itching to get done now, may realistically take a bit longer or we may be forced to revise again later.

This is a time of innovation when we can start to conceptualise new ways of doing thing but we also do not have much leg room so we basically need to find innovative ways to get the spaciousness that we crave while patiently biding our time.

Most people know their Sun sign mainly due to popular Sun sign horoscopes. Fortunately, there is a lot more to astrology than a Sun sign and there are important distinctions to make when you begin to learn more about astrology.

The 3 ”pillars” of a natal chart are the Sun, the Moon and the Rising sign. Your Sun sign might not be the same as your Moon sign or your Rising sign.

Aquarius Sun folks are involuntary trend setters. The reason for this is their ability to step outside of the mold while imagining new ones. They have the knack for creating pathways in places where no one dares to go. Their unusual mind tend to be interested in developing new and better ways of doing things. Creative genius, their energy is usually invested in alternative modalities or different modes of thinking. Aquarius Sun people know what it means to be an outsider, for this reason they are often interested in bringing their contribution to the underdog and the marginalized. Their attention being mostly oriented in the realm of ideas, Aquarius Sun people invest a lot of their energies conceptualizing new and better structures. Although these Aquarians can become extremely stubborn in pursuing their vision, they remain non-the-less interested in novelties and open to anything that can better their understanding of what it means to be human.

If you have the privilege to be acquainted with an Aquarius Moon, then you know these folks enjoy their solitude and personal time. These mysterious creatures are difficult to get know. The  invisible boundaries that delineates the perimeters of their heart is such that no one can truly understand what goes on in their inner world. Moon in Aquarius folks are extremely kind and compassionate individuals and value their connections. However, they remain mostly misunderstood by their surroundings because of their seemingly aloof and detached nature. Philanthropist at heart, Aquarius Moon sensitivity is awaken by the injustice of this world. They are the first one to give the shirt off their back if someone is in need. These Aquarians are for the most part non-materialistic and happy to go without if they know it will help the less fortunate. There is perhaps only one thing that an Aquarius Moon would not give freely, and that is their alone time.

If you know your astrology, then you know that the rising sign is often linked to the physical appearance. Aquarius rising people usually have a distinctive look. Most people have a doppelgänger and were told at some point in their lives that they look like someone else. This is less common with Aquarius rising folks, not because of some eccentric feature but simply because of their unique karisma. These Aquarians are quirky and individualistic, and their preoccupations often brings them to be deeply involved in their field of interest. Intellectuals by nature, Aquarius rising are inhabited by the zeitgeist of the past, present, and future. Time has a special meaning for these folks, and their actions are often motivated by change and legacy as oppose to personal recognition. Activist by nature, you can  find the Aquarius rising hard at work, leading the way towards lasting changes in their social sphere, and in the world at large.

The second of two eclipses this month comes with the New Moon in Aquarius on February 15 at 4:05pm ET.

It takes place at 27º of Aquarius, only a few days before the Sun’s ingress into the Water sign of Pisces. This partial eclipse is near the Dragon’s Tail aka the South Node of the Moon which is in part connected to a dissolution process.

In the last few weeks, Venus, Mercury and the Sun all met with the South Node of the Moon. This had the effect of dredging up all sorts of gunk from the bottom of our psyche which is ready to be cleansed and expelled back into the void.

“There is a face beneath this mask, but it isn’t me.
I’m no more that face than I am the muscles beneath it, or the bones beneath that.”
― Steve Moore, V for Vendetta

Aquarius is a Fixed Air sign traditionally ruled by Saturn. The purifying Waters of the water bearer cleanse the heart and clarifies the mind. Since the beginning of February, residues from past emotional burdens have been floating around on the surface of our awareness like dead skin on the surface of water. The dim light of the Sun in the sign of Aquarius allowed for a sort of detachment in regards to these afflictions, and perhaps the ability to find rational solutions for twisted emotional conundrums. The rays of the Sun are pale in the midst of Winter, and illumination comes from within.

The Full Moon in Leo on January 31st, served to highlight what weighs heavy on our heart but also connected us to our heart’s longing. The New Moon in Aquarius on February 15, stirs in us the potentialities of ideas born from these longings which in turn conjures new creative impulses deep inside of us. We can imagine a new trajectory for ourselves; will we have the courage to follow through?

Although still in their abstract forms, we can intuit the shape of things to come. New seeds are now being planted in foreign soil as we gaze on the vast territories of future promises. We must accept estrangement and embrace this liminal space for the time being as we fuel on the creative fires. The eclipses on the Leo/Aquarius axis ask that we have the courage of our ideals and the willingness to break our own rules in order to reach them. Nothing new is born in conformity and we must depart from the known if we are to realize what our heart longs for. We must also be willing to walk away from our love of approval and this is perhaps the most difficult task.

Unbelonging looms large in the uncharted Aquarian world, and seeking ”likes” and acknowledgment will only lead to disappointment. The resolute heart must find support within himself.

At the time of the New Moon, Saturn, the traditional ruler of Aquarius sextiles Venus in Pisces. This aspect speaks of calibrating our desires in a realistic framework, finding the sweet spot within our limitations and perhaps, the right measure of inspiration and work. Saturn in its home sign of Capricorn and Venus in the sign of her exaltation, dispense the proper tools for those who know how to utilize them. This aspect is also about maturity within our relationship and the realistic appraisal of our desire nature.

At the time of the New Moon, Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius sextiles Mercury in Aquarius.  This aspect speaks of an urge to break away from limiting through patterns and complicated situations/emotions that limits our vision. Mercury in Aquarius still squaring Jupiter in Scorpio is all about the honest appraisal of these complicated situations/emotions and perhaps unacknowledged desires that could be holding us back from truly breaking free from restrictions.

We must first clean out our basement before we can totally move out. Mars in Sagittarius applying to square Neptune in Pisces at the time of the New Moon, promises to blur and confuse this process. Ensuring that we are aiming at the proper target requires an honest assessment of the motivations hiding behind our arrows. Clarifying our intent is half the battle and our ability to differentiate the ideal from the real will take us a bit closer to the realization of our vision for the future.

The New Moon in Libra occurs on October 19 at 15:13 EDT in the very last degrees of the Scales just a few days before the Sun’s ingress into Scorpio.

The New Moon at 26º Libra will be in a tight opposition to rebel planet Uranus which is at 26º Aries. Uranus is often associated with sudden breakthroughs and shocks that serves to jolt us out of complacency. Uranus in Aries is like an untamed, wild and defiant teenager who will do exactly the opposite of what you ask him to do. Uranus in the sign of Aries doesn’t have patience for conventions and niceties; it forges ahead without foresight straight into the eye of the storm to challenge the Gods. Uranus is that voice that says: ”just go for it, try it and see what happens”. Acting on impulse, following a crazy idea, a revelation that brings a revolution, it’s the lightning that strikes the genius and the mad ones. It’s that impetuous urge to move against the docile heard to find a new direction, a new way of doing things; a different way.

Then, we have this New Moon in Libra which is all about fairness and compromises or at least finding the balance between ”what you want” and ”what I want”. Venus just entered the sign of Libra on October 14 and is at home here. Venus rules over the New Moon and accentuates the  themes of partnerships and agreements. The focus is on finding a peaceful way to remediate the disequilibrium we might be experiencing in our lives. The desire for collaboration is strong, we want to get along and both parties are looking for ways to reconcile their difference. The idea of harmony and balance is held high like a precious gem that seems to be just out of reach. We stretch our arms towards it, trying to catch its rare glow only to find a molten piece of poisonous  lead.

This New Moon points its finger directly at what is out of synch an unbalance in our lives. It’s the trigger that urges us to find new and better ways to deal with it. We could feel a sense of urgency in regards to establishing some form of harmony that would rectify the chaos and disorder. Partnership are especially susceptible to this at the moment as we weigh the pros and cons of our agreements. The grass always seems greener somewhere else and Libra loves to keep her options open. Uranus opposing the Sun and Moon in Libra could bring a sudden desire to break free from something that feels too restrictive. With the Sun, the Moon and Venus in Libra we must bow down to our current agreements and fulfill our part of the contract. Even though peace seems to be a complicated and elusive notion at this time it must remain a guiding ideal.

It is in this paradoxical landscape that this new lunar cycle begins. We will soon enter the Fixed season of Scorpio and descend even further into our commitments but also the decisions we make towards transformation. Now is the time to use the power of reason to decide what we want so that our attention and focus can be well directed for the month ahead.

Mercury Cazimi

Mercury’s superior conjunction is today at 16:42 EST

Mercury will pass very close to the Sun in the sky as its orbit carries it around the far side of the solar system from the Earth. If a planet is right at the core of the Sun, then it is utterly consumed and this is called being ‘cazimi’. Mercury going into the heart of the Sun means that for a small window of time Mercury is super powered while sitting on the royal throne.

Mercury briefly strengthened by its union with the Solar principle, gives us an opportunity to unite mind and spirit. Our thoughts can be purified, clarified and renewed in the Solar forge.

Mercury and the Sun together in Libra could give us insights as to where things might have gotten unbalanced, unfair, unjust and, the solutions needed to rectify the scales.

The Sun in Libra is considered in its ”fall” and pretty weak. It’s also the time of the year when things are dying as opposed to coming to life. With Mercury conjunct the Sun today I imagine realization and clarity will tend to be more around endings, death and decay as oppose to new beginnings and there is a definite liminal quality to this time of the year.

Mercury and the Sun will also square Pluto at the moment of their conjunction. This means that the unusual clarity we receive today could be combined with the urge to tear down and transform some of the existing structures in our lives.
Do not expect today’s sharpness to be long-lasting. The lucidity that comes with the Sun/Mercury conjunction will quickly vanish once Mercury leaves the Solar throne. Then, the real work of implementing what was revealed begins.

There is a long and arduous road ahead, but today’s answers can be kept in your mind’s eye to illuminate the path.

This week in Astrology: Sorting out the essential from your heart

Monday opens with the Moon in the last degrees of Taurus on the Fixed star Algol or the Head of Medusa; don’t lose your mind. We are building towards the Jupiter/Uranus opposition that will be exact on the 27/28 of September. This is a revolutionary aspect which is excellent for visionaries and artists and for people who have the ability to see the silver lining in chaotic  circumstances but also have the guts to do things differently. On a mundane level it can feel destabilizing if you are holding to the status quo at all cost or need predictable outcomes. Small and large shifts are happening in our awareness and in the world at large and intuition is at an all time high. Flashes of insights and new bold ideas are available if you adjust your vision. With Uranus in Aries closing in on its opposition to Jupiter in Libra there is an urge to liberate ourselves while also searching for ”the other” to reflect us. It can feel polarizing to oscillate between our need for freedom and liberation versus our need for feedback, fairness and equilibrium.

The Moon enters Gemini at 15:30 EDT on Monday which will accentuate the current Mercury/Mars conjunction building up in Virgo. The next 2 days are excellent for analyzing, editing, and cutting through the superfluous. The mind can have a tendency to race and anxiety will be higher than usual. Finding the right measure of applied diligence and focus is possible as long as we don’t scatter ourselves. Mindfulness and disconnecting from the media, the internet and the constant chatter is one of the best remedies for this kind of astrological weather. Difficulties with communication, getting our message across, misunderstandings and harsh words are possible with the Mercury/Mars conjunction building up and, so are fried phones and electronics.

With the last quarter Moon in Gemini we can feel stimulated, talkative, and curious but there is also the tendency to get lost in chatter instead of being productive. Basically, don’t fry your brain with coffee and stress and find the right balance of intellectual work and simple manual or physical work. We could have the urge to communicate in many directions at once but essentially we can only do one thing at a time. Give your brain the right intellectual food and remember that words and symbols can be very powerful in shaping our experience of reality; use them wisely.

The last quarter Moon in Gemini supports finalizing the details of a project or idea that began at the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 21st.

Venus in Leo trine Saturn in Sagittarius on Tuesday and this is a supportive but also sobering aspect in regards to relationship. We could feel serious and more realistic about our desires. Long-term commitments and maturity could feel more important at the moment and feelings could be reserved and controlled. Venus trine Saturn is beneficial for artist and creators who are looking to structure and give shape to their muse. This can be a productive time for creative work, social engagements, and public relations.

On Wednesday night the Moon enters her own sign of Cancer and this should help ease the mental tension creating a fluid and intuitive rhythm until Friday night.

Even though we are in the darkest of the Moon (before the New Moon in Virgo on September 20th) the weekend will feel quite dynamic with the Moon entering the Fire sign of Leo late on Friday night and Mercury and Mars perfecting their conjunction in Virgo on Saturday, September 16. Conversation around pride, identity, the need for acknowledgement and having  the courage to express oneself truthfully and courageously will all be aroused.

♏︎ ♒︎

The Moon will be making an interesting sequence of aspects in the next few days which is worth breaking down.

Thursday, the Moon enters the sign of Scorpio and almost immediately will trine the South Node of the Moon in Pisces. This could be thought of as getting a glimpse of the past, something hidden in the deep end resurfacing or finding ourselves obsessing over a memory we thought was buried forever.

*Since we are between eclipses (the next one being on February 26)  a more intense dream life is possible and revelations could come during your sleep.

The Moon in Scorpio will then trine Neptune in Pisces late Thursday night/early Friday morning. We can imagine this aspect as swimming through an underwater tunnel and coming across a sea monster and having to find the courage to get past a deep instinctual fear in order to swim through. There is a fine line between trusting our intuition and being carried away by delusional or irrational fears. Since the Moon in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces are both Water signs, things could escape our conscious awareness as we are led by involuntary or visceral undercurrents. Do not get discouraged by things which are outside your control: work with what you have.

Friday morning or afternoon (depending where you live) the Moon in Scorpio will square Mercury in Aquarius while Mercury square Mars in Aries (ruler of the Moon in Scorpio) and briefly after that, the Moon will sextile Pluto in Capricorn before going void of course.

How we handle information and how we decide to communicate what we know could be challenged in some ways. How information is used to manipulate will be more obvious than usual and it could be a good time to assess what we let in and how we use it. Getting to the bottom of something in order to have more control over it can be a positive thing as long as we are clear about the specific motivations behind our actions. There could be an obsession around truth and technology which somehow lies beyond our immediate comprehension. The relationship between information and power is sure to be highlighted. These aspects could bring forth surprising tactics used through technology in order to control and dominate. Pay attention to what arises as we are heading towards dynamic astrological aspects in the last 10 days of February.

This tension could challenge us to think outside of our comfort zone in order to come up with innovative ideas that will help us move forward.

The sound of dripping water echoes through a great stone room.
The most unusual and distinctive of inward conditions. You are held within a mode of awareness that is from another time and place altogether. You have nothing to say and nothing to do. There is no power of individual life-force. Instead you see as the ancient ones see. Utter unworldliness to a point of dissociation from surface experience. A part of the mind transported by a reverie of timeless, effortless realization. Everything is clear. The subtlest, most refined things are obvious. It is all a matter of perspective, and here the perspective is that the only thing that matters is how the inward resonant echo registers and where it leads you in choiceless awareness, in communion with the Gods.

We are now officially in the middle of winter in the Northern Hemisphere and this time of the year is your time. This means that you will probably be busier than usual with your many projects and most likely in high demand. Your forward thinking and unique abilities are being broadcast to the four corners and you can expect at least some form of recognition for your talents. Opportunities should be taken: people are curious t0 hear your perspective. The Full Moon on February 10 will steal the spotlight away from you for a moment and shine its light on your collaborations and partnerships. You might be embarking on some new types of projects that involve other people in some ways. Expansion and growth are indicated for you this year but you will have to keep yourself in check. Your wish to take on more projects has to be coupled with temperance and a dose of pragmatism. In the coming months your ability to say no will be as important as your ability to say yes. If you didn’t already write a master plan for 2017, sit down and draft one. Even a rough estimate of what you would like to accomplish this year will help to stay focused on the essential and delineate what it is you want to achieve. Your willingness to stay flexible and take detours while keeping your objective in mind is what will take you there. Sort out your priorities; the coming months promises to be a test in regard to how serious you are about your convictions. Be ready to handle the unexpected while remaining faithful to your vision.

The time has come to start thinking about the next chapter you want to write as you are transitioning towards the end of an era. While you prepare to enter this foreign territory, I want you to consider the shoes you are wearing; are they representative of who you are becoming? Have you thought about the message they are sending or the old titles they carry with them? You might feel like holding on to that really old pair of comfortable shoes even though they have become full of holes and are essentially useless. If I were you I would burn those old shoes which have become awkward and more of a burden than a helpful protection for your feet. Throw out your old titles, you have outgrown them. Of course, this is just a metaphor and it might actually take longer to let go of some of the things you cherish, but these old relics are keeping you from exploring your full potential. You might decide against all odds to hold on just a bit longer-and that is perfectly ok. Things take time. Explore your options but keep in mind that it will most likely never go back to the way it was before. Get used to the idea slowly and have compassion for yourself through this process. Give yourself the patience you so easily give others. It is difficult to know exactly how to proceed but don’t sweat it. The next few months should help by giving you important clues on how to participate actively to what is happening.

There is a LOT of fire in the astrology of 2017. Like, a lot. Since you are a fire sign this will certainly fuel your awesome this year. However, as with anything flammable, some precautions are necessary to avoid setting things ablaze in a fury. First of all, you want to make sure that what you are getting passionate about is worth the cause. The great thing about being a fire sign is that it imbues you with the drive and motivation to move mountains. The down side of so much fire is that it can lead to exhaustion, or at its worst: self-destruction (I’m sure you know what I’m talking about). To avoid the less pleasant side-effect of your hot nature, make sure to invest your energy wisely in the coming months. Do not waste your breath on people or causes that are not worth fighting for. Use your discernment and find constructive outlets to express yourself. You are majorly supported this month by Mars in Aries, and people will listen to you. If you can keep your impulsive nature in check then you will accomplish a lot. Use your fire strategically so that you are not dismissed as a short-tempered Aries. The world needs courageous people that will step over the line. Only you want to make sure that the world also hears and understand why you are stepping over the line. Rebellion is awesome but it is not enough to produce effective change. A strategic rebel has a lot more chance to succeed than an impulsive one.

Since the beginning of 2017, your focus has been directed on things happening to other people around you: on affairs which you have almost no control over except the ability to lend a helping hand when necessary. The Full Moon in Leo on the 10th of February will shine its light on you and your home and perhaps illuminate some things that needs to be put in order. You have been so busy that you might have neglected the more private areas of your life. This could include your health, your own personal creative projects, your family, and of course your partner. Make sure you allow yourself the time needed to reconnect, root-down, and rest. February promises to be a busy month socially and you will continue to be pulled in many directions for support and input. There might be something you are not aware of at the moment-something that could surprise you down the road, something hidden in plain view but not yet directly obvious. It could be tension building up in a part of your life that will need addressing later (unless you manage it now), so pay attention to what is happening. Don’t assume that you understand everything about a situation just yet and take in consideration that you might have a blind spot that is keeping you from seeing the whole picture. With that said, it doesn’t have to be worrisome. It could mean getting a second opinion on something or running an idea you have by a colleague at first to see how solid it is. It could also mean just stopping for a moment to reassess your direction and adjust your stance. Whatever it means, see it as a mindset; flexible, ready to deal with whatever arises while still feeling solid in your stance.

The word overwhelmed doesn’t even sum up how you’ve been feeling in 2017 so far. Your attention has been like a weathervane, one moment pointing in one direction only to spin 180º in the opposite direction with the slightest wind gust. Rest assured that this is not due to the fact that your head is coming loose but more to the fact that you are juggling with so many balls! Of course you wouldn’t have it any other way and as February progresses, you will start to feel steady with your juggling act and you might even find a short cut or a magic trick to help you out. It also looks like you will continue to be quite busy and you will have plenty of opportunity to broaden your horizons and your scope of influence. The tension you are feeling is mostly due to growing pains and responsibilities, but you can handle it. You are at a point in your life where you have been there before and you have the expertise to back you up. Do not let doubt or other people deter you from that fact. You might feel alienated this month if some people second guess the validity of your knowledge and undermine what you know. You could also find the support you need amongst some of your colleagues so do not dismiss everyone. Be prepared to back up what you know with some facts or evidence and you should  get the acknowledgment you deserve. As you know, nothing is free in this world, and you will still need to pay your due with work and discipline if you want to get the results you are looking for. Allow yourself some down time for your mind to relax but be willing to put in the extra hours if needed.

You are starting to adapt to the new elements that were recently added to your routine. These new patterns of behaviours that were foreign to you only a few months ago are starting to feel more normal. You will have to pay attention not to revert back to some of the old habits that tends to sprout only when you get too comfortable or when you are stressed. Resolutions that were taken at the beginning of 2017 will now start to either take hold or dissolve. If you are not totally aligned with all that you have promised yourself for 2017, is there a way you could be more realistic about what is possible? Are you perhaps taking the long road when you could be taking a short cut? Who said the long way was better anyway? Efficiency is a beautiful thing; get familiar with that word. Contemplate the ways you could use what you have at your disposal to get closer to your goal in a shorter time period. Can what you set out to accomplish be done faster if you team up? Can it be that in order to be more efficient you will need more funds? If so, assess what is possible in that department. Let go of the desire to do everything on your own and ask for help if you need to. Yes, you can get a lot done by yourself but other areas of your life might suffer in the process-mainly your health. It’s ok to give yourself the down time needed to regenerate. Sometimes that is what being efficient is all about; making sure you have enough fuel to keep going.

This is a big month for you, with a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse in your sign on February 10. ”Ok, sure” you say, ”but what does this mean for me?” Well, first of all you have to understand that a good part of your attention at the moment is directed on your partnerships or onto the things outside of yourself that makes you feel supported. You are deriving your energy and vitality-in part-on the people who are close to you. February will highlight your attachments and what you need to feel content. What is lacking will also become more obvious. The fact that the Full Moon and the lunar eclipse are in your sign is an indication to take stock. The Full Moon represents amongst other things a culmination of that part of your life which is ruled by the ebb and flow of your heart’s desires. This is in some ways the opening act of what will unfold in your life in the next 2 years. There is no reason to resist what wants to be born, just as there is no reason to resist what needs to be let go. Doors open and doors close and if we move with it it becomes easier to seize the opportunities as they present themselves. What needs to happen will happen regardless but you can decide to set yourself in a receptive stance as opposed to a resisting one. The eclipses of the next 2 years are on the Leo/Aquarius axis. Eclipses usually bring some fundamental changes in the way we operate. Sometimes they bring events or opportunities that help us move forward. As I mentioned above, this first lunar eclipse in your sign is like the opening act. It is possible that what is sprouting is still invisible to the naked eye but in a couple years you will look back on this time period as an important transition.

Logistical issues could take its toll on you this month so allow yourself plenty of down time. There is no point in letting anxiety run the show. You could feel overwhelmed by matters that are really out of your control for the moment. These things could be connected to shared assets, taxes, or other monies that tie you down in some ways. You could feel limited by your immediate surroundings or there could be extra responsibilities on the home front. The Full Moon on the 10th of February will highlight your need for silence and tranquility. Allow yourself to step away from the hustle and bustle if you need as this will serve to invigorate and revitalize you. Habits that do not serve you well will become obvious this month and this is also an excellent time to maximize on your wellbeing. Mid-month, your attention will shift on your partnerships, shedding a gentle and healing light on them. Anything that needs closure will culminate before the end of the month. The New Moon in Pisces on February 26 brings with her a new level of awareness in regards to your relationships and the people who are dear to your heart. You are now engaging with your partners in a subtle but different way and you might discover some characteristics in yourself which had remained hidden until now. This New Moon in Pisces is also a Solar eclipse in Pisces and marks the last one of a series which started back in March 2015. A process that had begun approximately 2 years ago is now culminating. A new level of consciousness, a new level of self-love, and a new way of relating to the world is ready to flourish.

Oh dear Libra, if only you could make up your mind half your torments would vanish! If only you could settle on what you want then things would flow in one direction so easily… or would they? I’m sorry, I actually don’t know the answer to this very complicated riddle but what I know is that the time to take some important decision has come. Or has it? Perhaps this is just a test run and not the actual real time to act yet? Maybe you still need to assess which of the myriad of options available to you is the right one? Maybe you don’t need to make any decisions at all! Maybe it’s better to let things unfold and see what happens? It looks to me like what you want right now is the whole cake and to eat it, too. You want freedom and the perfect partner, ease in motion and challenges, you want to be in business without the responsibilities. You are actively searching for the perfect trick that will allow you to do just that. How can someone desire one thing while also desiring its opposite? This is perhaps one of the greatest mysteries of the scales. One way you can start bringing more focus to your affairs is by drafting what is is you truly value. Imagine you have the powers to bring abundance into your life but only to what truly matters; no cheating. What would you choose? What are the things you cannot live without? What are the things you absolutely cannot tolerate anymore? The next few months will bring some important clues to your attention. You are entering a transitional phase; do not remain passive to avoid making clear cut decisions. One way or another, you won’t be able to keep that cake forever. Let the sorting process begin!

Your inner landscape is undergoing some major transformation at the moment and even though it might not be obvious on the surface, you feel it. Your connection to the unseen is being strengthened by events or circumstances and keeping the dialogue open has some major benefits. What I mean by this is that even though we get to choose what we like and don’t like in our lives, some things are beyond our control. Releasing our grasp helps in assimilating the value of these experiences and supports us in moving forward. Of course, Scorpios are experts in the process of regenerating, but why is that? In part, I think it is because your loyalty to what you hold dear is so deeply ingrained and solid that it makes letting go even more difficult. Someone who can turn around and forget their allegiance easily wouldn’t even notice this process, but for you it is a total transformation – a new skin. Once you move on from something you do not turn back. You become a new person and that is why I think letting go is so difficult. There is an old story coming to an end in your life and you can feel it in your bones. As long as you do not cross that bridge you stay in that old skin; the one full of stories and scars which are dear to your heart. You can stay here forever if you want; on the verge of the abyss, contemplating the familiar void of something that is no more. Take the time you need to contemplate this landscape – this is how you build your strength. However, be aware that the opportunities knocking at your door won’t be there forever.

The year 2017 has been good to you so far. You have felt the momentum of things moving forward in your life even amidst the general uncertainty that floats in the collective. The process of sorting out what is essential to you and what you do not want in your life anymore continues and the image is getting clearer everyday. Shedding old pre-conceived ideas about how things ought to be is not an easy process and sorting out what matters to you has been difficult at times. Being pulled in opposite directions by our dreams versus our responsibilities requires fine adjustments and this balancing act will continue in the coming months. The changes are partially due to a fundamental transformation of your beliefs and how you have perceived the world until now. What was once important to you doesn’t seem essential now. So when our priorities shift our life changes. Even though you might not be able to relate with some of your old opinions and ideas, it’s good to keep in mind that not everyone around you will be able to shift their perspective simultaneously. If you find that you are having difficulties relating to the world, it could be in part due to the dichotomy of your old beliefs vs the new ones. You could be feeling very different internally but your reality might seem ill fitting for a while and in turn this could affect your existing relationships. It’s a good idea to keep that in mind in the coming months while you make the small adjustments needed in your external reality to fit your inner vision.

Your allegiance will be undergoing revision this month as you try to reconcile your private life with your professional one. This is not an easy task and you could feel divided between  obligations on the home front versus career opportunities. You might need to reformulate your plans in order to meet all of your expectations. Elements of your work could be undergoing revision and this is indirectly linked to a change of beliefs on your part or some new role you are stepping into. Your priorities and values are shifting with the changing of tides and your desire to focus on what matters is becoming more important. The Full Moon in Leo on February 10 highlights some issues in regard to joint finances. Unexpected expenses could indicate the need to tighten the reign on your finances in order to accomplish what you set out to do. The opportunities to make money are there but it all depends on how you organize your schedule. Since a lot of pleasure will be derived from spending time at home with your loved ones this month you might not feel like having the extra responsibilities but fortunately your heightened intuition should help you make the proper decisions so that you can benefit from both. The right balance of work and pleasure does exist so do not deny yourself the down time. It’s easy for Capricorn’s to feel under-productive but you must be able to allow yourself a period of grace to adapt to the changing circumstances.
