The Head & Tail of the Dragon enters Gemini and Sagittarius

The Nodes of the Moon just entered the Gemini-Sagittarius axis after spending the last two years on the Capricorn-Cancer axis. This is quite a significant shift, and signals the beginning of a new eclipse cycle taking place in both Gemini and Sagittarius over the course of the next two years. New stories will emerge as old ones unravel in connection with these two signs. This is particularly significant if you have important luminaries in either Gemini or Sagittarius. It also means that every time planets move through either Gemini or Sagittarius, or that a New Moon or Full Moon takes place here, they will be susceptible to the influence of Nodes.

The North and South Nodes of the Moon are considered ”shadow planets”. They are the two points in the sky where the Moon’s orbit intersects with the Ecliptic. When the New Moons and Full Moons happen near the North or South Node, eclipses take place. These 2 ”shadow planets” exert a potent and concentrated influence on human’s affairs and more extensively on nature.

The North Node also known as The Head of the Dragon or Rahu in the Jyotish system of Astrology is said to bring things into the manifest world. The Head of the Dragon doesn’t have a stomach to digest what it consumes. Therefore there is an insatiable hunger connected to this point. I sometimes think of the North Node as a + sign for better or for worse. The North Node is now moving through the sign of Gemini.

The South Node also known as the Tail of the Dragon or Ketu in Jyotish, is said to be a point of ”spiritualization”. Once a particular set of circumstances has been understood it is digested, and returns to the primeval void. I sometimes explain the South Node as a – sign because it tends to remove or subtract things that have reached completion. The South Node is now in Sagittarius.

Eclipses have been a major reason why humans started tracking the movements of the planets. Surviving records have shown that the Babylonians and the ancient Chinese were able to predict solar eclipses as early as 2500 BCE. However we can speculate that humans have been tracking planetary events such as eclipses for a much longer time with complex structures like Göbekli Tepe in Turkey.

The two Nodes of the Moon function together as a giant beast-like serpent that devours the Sun or the Moon. For a moment we enter total darkness – the void from where everything arises and returns to:

The past & future, the old & the new, the complete & the unfinished.

Venus in Gemini ☐ Neptune in Pisces

Catherine et l’armoire. 1985

Venus is in the sign of Gemini and will transit here until August 7th. That’s a really longtime for Venus to be in one sign. Venus will station retrograde mid-May and will be moving backward through almost the entire sign of Gemini before stationing direct on June 25th.

On May 3rd, Venus will square Neptune in Pisces. This is an aspect that will occur again on May 20th and July 27th.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the square between Venus and Neptune as it will colour much of the month of May.

Neptune is sometime said to be the ‘’higher octave’’ of Venus which can translate as an idealization of the Venusian principles. Pleasure, Beauty, Aesthetics, Music, Cinema, and Love ect… can become the transcending mediums in which we experience the mystical, supernatural and trans-inducing influences of Neptune.

Venus in Gemini is all about the beauty of ideas communicated into words. Like the exchange of concepts and opinions with others, and the ability to hold contradictory perspectives in one’s mind. Desires are in constant motion, and curiosity is awaken by multiplicity. It reminds me of the way we connect with others via social media. Having this constant thread of exchanges, relationships, and ongoing conversations via a multitude of platforms.

Because of the current state of the world, we’ve all become way more glued to our phones (as if this was possible) and with the internet. A lot of varied opinions and speculations are circulating in a 24/7 dialogues involving billions of people. We are learning, socializing, and working online.

I think the influence of social media, the internet and more extensively our phones will be a big part of what this Venus retrograde will bring out. I imagine the upcoming Venus/Neptune square as the collective information trance we are all experiencing while becoming more entrenched in the virtual world.

I’ll probably be back with more thoughts on this later.

Happy Venus day virtual friends! 🌸

At the threshold of change – standing with open palms praying for the blooms of Spring to delight us with golden utopia. A vast horizon of possible futures emerging from the slumber of corrupted Kings as their ancient castles crumble. Power and Faith align via seismic fault pushing strength out of nature creating new landscapes to cultivate. Fresh soil ready for the season of becoming – green visions aligned with the Wheel of Fate. The medicine is strong – adding honey over saturating with sweetness. A cacophony of healing invocations reverberates through the wires in anxious unison of fantastical talents. The mirror casts a grandiose reflection of mystical grandeur which serves as a muse for the unemployed confusion. The central hearth burns with everlasting creation flames licking dragoness producing wonders and new forms while the cycles of Necessity dances in the shadows.

The week opens with the last quarter Moon in Sagittarius creating a crossroad and a time of decisions. What was realized or initiated at the New Moon in Pisces on February 23rd, and more extensively during Mercury retrograde is now fully emerging. This is a powerful time as we can  see reflected in the collective and this week is no exception.

The big astrological events this week are: Mercury re-entering Pisces early Monday morning after its retrograde – The Sun entering Aries on Thursday signalling the beginning of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere -A powerful Mars/Jupiter conjunction in the sign of Capricorn on Friday – Saturn entering Aquarius on Saturday hinting at a new chapter which will officially begin in December, and finally a gorgeous sextile between Venus in Taurus and the Moon/Neptune in Pisces closing the weekend next Sunday, March 22nd.

The Moon enters Capricorn mid-day on Monday which brings attention back to our present obligations and responsibilities. The Moon transiting in the Earth sign of Capricorn until Wednesday evening carries a stoic, practical, and somewhat fearful lens on current situations.

The Moon in Capricorn trines Venus in Taurus Tuesday afternoon brings positive solutions to logistical issues. With the emphasis of planets in Earth signs at the moment, the focus is on assets, money, and how to provide, and maintain cash flow. Capricorn and Taurus are two signs concerned with material comfort, stability, and the tangible. There is plenty of backup and motivation at the moment to stabilize our realities, and adapt to the changing tides.

Wednesday, the Moon in Capricorn conjoins Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn before entering Aquarius late Wednesday evening. In Astrology, the Moon sometimes serves as a magnifying glass or a translator of other planetary aspects. The Moon meeting the stellium of heavy-duty players in Capricorn could serve to augment our awareness of current crumbling structures. Change is of course the only constant. We must move through this time with flexibility, awareness, and the willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

On Thursday March 19th, the Sun at 29 degrees of Pisces sextile Saturn at 29 degrees of Capricorn. We could be extremely aware of the implications of the change currently taking place. The Sun in the very last degree of the Zodiac while Saturn is in the very last degree of Capricorn foretells of this powerful threshold we are currently crossing collectively, and the lessons being integrated at this time thanks to Saturn.

The Sun enters Aries (23:49 EDT) signalling the beginning of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Mars applies to a conjunction with Jupiter in Capricorn at the time of the Equinox while Uranus in Taurus sextile the Nodes of the Moon. There is confidence, initiative, and faith amidst the very real changing circumstances. We are forced to plan for the long-term, and think strategically at this time.

On Friday, the Moon continues to travel through the sign of Aquarius as if preparing the ground for Saturn about to enter Aquarius on Saturday. The Moon will be void of course all day after a square to Venus in Taurus (5am EDT). Things could feel in suspense, and it could be hard to know the outcome of our current predicaments. However, with Mars and Jupiter’s conjunction becoming exact on Friday, the desire to move forward and the energy to do so is available. It’s a good time to stay busy with projects and be proactive.

The weekend continues to surprise. The Moon enters Pisces early Saturday morning meeting Mercury which is sextile Uranus in Taurus; an aspect that was exact at the beginning of February just before Mercury stationed retrograde.

We might find the answers for things that were left in suspense in the last month and a half. We might be asked to retrace our step to get to the origin of a story. Things that began around the first week of February are now being clarified perhaps creating more confusion. The Moon in Pisces with Mercury could muddle and diffuse information creating more anxiety. It could be hard to know what the truth really is.

Saturn enters Aquarius late Saturday evening/early Sunday morning depending on where you live. Saturn will be in Aquarius until it stations retrograde and moves back into Capricorn at the beginning of July. Saturn will officially enter Aquarius at the end of 2020 and will transit in the sign of the Water Bearer until 2023. If you know your Astrology, then you know that Saturn leaves no one indifferent. For the next three and a half months we will have an opportunity to glimpse at the upcoming themes that Saturn in Aquarius will undoubtedly bring up when it officially enters Aquarius at the end of the year.

Finally, Sunday carries a luxurious glow while the Moon conjoins Neptune in Pisces and sextile Venus in Taurus. Venus currently at home in the sign of Taurus shows that charm, inspiration, and pleasures are readily available. The Moon and Neptune in Pisces aspecting Venus in Taurus on Sunday promises a day filled with fantasy and longing which should be utilize for art, music, beauty, romance and all creative pleasures, and projects. Even though we are at the mercy of powerful change, beauty and love is readily available.

Week of March 9th 2020: Potential

The snake slips through your fingers undulating in a backward dance, slithering up your sleeve and into your heart.  The poison is released – intoxicating the future with fated, and malleable longings. The sweetness of the past caresses your best intentions testing your resolve. Dreams materialize out of dreams. Wishful thinking wants to gain favours. Lucidly inebriated on visions – desire is a river that flows forth. Nature is a cruel and beautiful mistress that gives herself freely to the dance while her old forms fertilize the soil as an offering to potentiality. Love is the rapture encircling your Soul as your body seeks the edge of the grove.

Monday opens with a Full Moon in Virgo which is exact at 13:48 EST. The Full Moon in Virgo highlights a dichotomy between process and inspiration, between the material and the ephemeral. The Sun conjoins Neptune in Pisces at the time of the Full Moon diffusing solar light, and rationality. The Moon in Virgo tries to create a practical application for all the intangible ideas floating around. You might be in the process of crafting a proper container for an idea or a vision. However with the mutable season in full swing we still have to contend with destabilizing factors. The Full Moon in Virgo can be anxiety inducing especially if you stare at the whole instead of the parts. Satisfaction will come from working on one thing at a time without letting your ”to-do list” overwhelm you. The Full Moon in Virgo compartmentalizes while the Sun and Neptune in Pisces blurs the lines. The more you try to grasp, the more constricting it will feel. Be present with your process and accept that even though there is still a lot of work to be done, you are progressing at your own rhythm. Mercury stations direct in Aquarius late Monday night, and whatever has been on hold will start to gain momentum in the next few weeks.

Things will calm down considerably after the swell of the Full Moon in Virgo. The Moon enters Libra at 6:04am EST Tuesday morning – ruled by a powerful Venus currently in Taurus. Venus also sextile the Nodes of the Moon to begin the week highlighting our desire nature and where it is taking us. The Sun in Pisces sextile its ruler Jupiter currently in Capricorn giving us faith that some sort of structures will be there to support us. Even though the Full Moon in Virgo on Monday illuminates complicated logistics, we are compelled to move forward confidently.

The Moon enters Scorpio Thursday morning and will travel here until Saturday. Mars currently in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces and rules over the Moon in Scorpio; we move deeper into our desire nature which takes us to the roots of our ambitions and beyond. Intuition is highlighted until Friday, and we could feel guided by some sort of mystical ideal. There is a need to move beyond superficiality, and seek transcending experiences that transform us, and our reality. With so many planets currently transiting in the Earth element, we are looking for tangible ways to transform the structures in our lives. We want our material condition to reflect our ideals.

The Moon enters Sagittarius Saturday morning ruled by Jupiter in Capricorn. Since Jupiter is currently sitting between Mars and Pluto, themes of ambition and power will continue to be highlighted all weekend. The Sun in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn Sunday emphasizes shifting structures. There could be a powerful urge to succeed at this time and the ability to do so without too much opposing tensions. It’s a powerful week for strategic manoeuvring.

”Come into the garden, Maud,
For the black bat, Night, has flown,
Come into the garden, Maud,
I am here at the gate alone;
And the woodbine spices are wafted abroad,
And the musk of the roses blown.”

WEEK OF MARCH 2nd, 2020: Dreaming Goddess

The sky is turning around and around. Arriving at the end, the road disappears. What you thought was happening is actually happening; the dream is correct. Reality erodes under your eyes, memories seep through the eternal flame with familiarity. The path of the Fool, the pathless way. Eyes close you see. Grasp it, and it vanishes. Nature shimmers against the backdrop of crumbling empires. Nature crumbles against the backdrop of virtual progress. Small hopes of electric flashes. Hollowed spirits salivate for success, competing for the peak. Hypnotized. The limit is reached. Brick by brick the sanctum is reborn perpetually through sacrificing the outer crown. A fire inside an ocean burns with a thousand eyes. Illumination birthed. Getting back to the beginning. Fingers on the pulse. Counting breaths. One for the dive. One for the horizon. One for the mirage. One for the pearl.

The First Quarter Moon takes place on Monday when the Moon in Gemini squares the Sun in Pisces highlighting some tension and conflicting situations. A funky signature to begin the week. The Gemini Moon ruled by a retrograde Mercury is sure to make progressing efficiently a little bit more complicated. Change of plans or last minute cancelation are possible, and it could be difficult to know exactly where things are heading making decisions all the more difficult. Venus in Aries squares Saturn in Capricorn on Tuesday confirming once again that we have to contend with some roadblocks or delayed gratification. Venus square Saturn could feel isolating, and lacking in support but don’t let this reality fool. It’s a necessary contraction that forces you to find original solutions, and it gets better as the week progresses.

The Moon enters Cancer late Tuesday evening and Mercury retrogrades back into Aquarius early Wednesday morning for a costume change. Mercury is now retracing steps from early February. Don’t be surprised if you have to deal with an echo of something initiated a month ago. Mercury in Aquarius sextile Venus in Aries Wednesday afternoon carrying solutions or at least ideas on how to move forward. Finally, Venus enters Taurus Wednesday night at 22:07 EDT where she will frolic until April 3rd. Venus is considered at home in the sign of Taurus. Her transit here should give a boost to all pleasurable things.

The Moon in Cancer opposes the stellium of planets in Capricorn on Thursday March 5th. We could spend the day revising plans concerned with the familiar and the safe while trying to branch out. We could be prompt to step out of our comfort zone if we are to continue on an ambitious path. Pragmatism will be favoured but don’t let your decisions be made out of fear. The day could feel somewhat polarizing but we are dealing with repeating themes and we should start getting the hang of this. Sometimes wisdom doesn’t look like it should.

The Moon enters Leo early Friday morning igniting passions as she squares Uranus and Venus in Taurus. The status quo won’t cut it this time. You might want to try to include some exciting activities into your weekend as the boredom threshold will be extremely low. Venus in Taurus is applying to a conjunction with Uranus and the Sun in Pisces to a conjunction with Neptune both exact on Sunday but this will permeate the whole weekend. The Moon enters Virgo in the early hours Sunday morning ending the week with another Mercury retrograde ruled Moon.

There is febrility in the air on March 7th and 8th. On a mundane level Neptune is often associated with sensitivity and toxicity. The Sun joining Neptune on Sunday morning foretells that the coronavirus could create a lot more anxiety and uncertainty in the collective. Something intangible and invisible is seeping through the masses and is very hard to contain. The Full Moon in Virgo will oppose the Sun/Neptune in Pisces on Monday March 9th  saturating the skies with a polarizing tension. (More on this next Monday). On a personal level, the Sun joining Neptune on Sunday could be linked with a desire for transcendence or union. Something could feel really inspiring or at it’s worst ominous. Neptune is spiritual communion as much as it is drowning. It is revelations or delusions. Choose your own adventure.

Later on Sunday afternoon, Venus joins Uranus in Taurus for a quick rodeo giving the day a definite unpredictable flavour. Even though Taurus is a sign associated with stability and grounding, we could be looking for new soils in which to root down.  A strong desire for sensuality, and experiences that stimulate our senses could permeate the weekend and the beginning of next week. This is an uncompromising signature when impulse control is at an all time low. Expect the unexpected and enjoy the ride.

“And then, some morning in the second week, the mind wakes, comes to life again. Not in a city sense—no—but beach-wise. It begins to drift, to play, to turn over in gentle careless rolls like those lazy waves on the beach. One never knows what chance treasures these easy unconscious rollers may toss up, on the smooth white sand of the conscious mind; what perfectly rounded stone, what rare shell from the ocean floor. Perhaps a channeled whelk, a moon shell, or even an argonaut.” – Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Week of February 16th, 2020: Practical Synchronicities

You trace a line from point Z to point A and then you forget where you were going but that’s ok because you discover the meaning of what you were searching for between the starting point and the finishing one. People reveal their secrets between breaths, between sunset and sunrise, when dragons move from heart to mouth. It’s refreshing to be given all the answers without asking for them; you simply know without your head. There is a cool dark forest at the base of a mountain with an ancient fountain of memories where the water tastes like earth and courage. You drink from this place before you ascend higher and higher, crossing a golden net made of your own ambitions and fears.

The week begins with Mercury having just turned retrograde in the sign of Pisces on Sunday February 16th. The Sun leaves Aquarius on February 18th, and the New Moon in Pisces arrives next Sunday, February 23rd. We are at the very end of the zodiac where things get a little bit slippery, and changeable. Situations are shifting but we are in the transition between seasons and it’s hard to know exactly the shape of things to come. The traditional ruling planet of Pisces is currently in Capricorn along with Saturn, Pluto, and Mars who just entered Capricorn on Sunday Feb 16th also. This means that we are still getting a big dose of the stoic goat even though the Sun moved out of Capricorn a month ago. All these planets in Capricorn carries practical and material concerns to the otherwise boundary-transcending Pisces. Mars newly ingress in Capricorn carries a lot of tactical support to get us through this particular Mercury retrograde in Pisces.

Jupiter in Capricorn will sextile Neptune in Pisces this week which will be exact on Thursday. Jupiter is somewhat limited in Capricorn, but these two planets coming together offers a good dose of faith. Faith that everything will work out no matter what happens. The ethereal and the material are converging and offers a psychedelic cocktail of aspirations, synchronicities, and tangible opportunities. It could feel easier to step out of your current limitations and get a glimpse of how it could be with a small tweak of your perspective. How to redirect your energies on the realization of experiences you crave or to start aligning with a project you have in mind could start to become clearer. Whatever your heart desires, the combination of Pisces and Capricorn planets in the next 3 weeks is the perfect time to start implementing small actions towards grandiose visions.

“Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.”

The Moon is in Sagittarius to begin the week which gives a nice dose of motivation to get things moving. The Moon enters Capricorn early Tuesday while the Sun is still in Aquarius emphasizing our workload and responsibilities. Tuesday and Wednesday will be for work, and the discipline should be there. Our focus will start to wane by Thursday with the Moon in Capricorn void of course until the afternoon when it enters Aquarius. After the mid-week rush to fulfill duties, obligations, and attend the structures of our lives while the Moon is in Capricorn, we will start to dream about bigger scenarios for ourselves.

With the sextile of Jupiter and Neptune perfecting at 10:55am ET on Thursday our attention shifts to fantasizing about possible and potential futures. The Moon will be in Aquarius Thursday afternoon until late Saturday when it enters Pisces. The New Moon in Pisces takes place Sunday morning signalling the beginning of a new lunar cycle. Until then, we could feel compelled to get our ducks in a row, and structure our schedule according to what we want to accomplish this month. The week offers pragmatic perspective and the drive to get stuff done; do not let this overwhelm you. Since we are in the waning phase of the Moon all week until the New Moon on Sunday, it’s a good time to trim off excess responsibilities instead of adding more.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 10th, 2020: Energy goes where attention flows

Let’s make a plan while we still have some sense left in us. Let’s make a drawing of our desires before we forget what we came here for. The fog rises and changes the landscape and the shapes of things to come. The path disappears with a trick of the light but maybe this is the way. To get lost, to lose sight of the shore, to restore inner sight all the way to the source. We must live in the ambiguity of wanting both storm and safety. Memories from the future informs the creative act allowing things to be born in the great confluence of Earth and Sky which gives tangible shape to the World while we divine our way backward.

The week begins with the grounding influence of the Moon in Virgo directing attention on practicalities and logistics. Mercury in Pisces is slowing down, and preparing to station retrograde on Sunday. This period of time is ripe with ideas especially regarding creative projects. Mercury retrograde in Pisces until March 9th should be an excellent time for the gestation of some of your wildest visions for 2020. We are very much at the beginning of a new decade and we are starting to see what this means. New paths are emerging as we locate ourselves on foreign territory. It could feel both exciting and scary but for the most part we are ready for it. The stellium of planets in Capricorn is bringing a sober perspective on big dilemmas, and the patience to move through them with stoic resolve.

The practical concerns at the beginning of the week will start to wane once the Moon enters Libra on Tuesday night. Venus in Aries conjunct Chiron on Monday, and Venus square the Nodes of the Moon on Wednesday could shift our attention on relationship dynamics. We can expect themes around fairness, compromise, justice but also conflicts and resolution to surface. We reflect each other for better and for worse in a delicate balance of give and take. Venus currently in Aries can inflame the passions and display our desires brightly but it could feel harder to reconcile personal needs versus the need to keep the peace while the Moon is in Libra mid-week.

The Moon enters Scorpio on Thursday night continuing to highlight needs and desires. With Mars about to leave Sagittarius for Capricorn on Sunday, it all comes down to energy investment, and where you want to focus your attention. Mars in Capricorn from February 16th to March 30th will offer strategic support for long term goals. Knowing your priorities is the first step for directing your attention towards the realization of your goals.

The Moon enters Sagittarius Saturday night and on Sunday the Moon square Mercury just as it stations retrograde in Pisces. Jupiter in Capricorn ruling both Pisces and Sagittarius is sextile to Neptune in Pisces (exact on February 20th) just as Mercury stations retrograde. Much of this retrograde could be about giving tangible shapes to our visions. There could be a feeling of genuine connection to the bigger narratives in our lives and an ability to gain philosophical perspective regarding our current material predicaments. Optimism is a spell.

“A ship is safe in harbour, but that’s not what ships are for.”
John A. Shedd

At the end of the day the light stays a little bit longer to remind you of a distant longing like a Summer promise of ease from a time of innocence when your imagination was the only filter in the foreign country of your dreams where no one knows you. Feeling the zephyr within the passion of images arising from a mysterious well, the heart crusades for the intangible without compromise for the reality of flesh which keeps the spirit anchored only by a thin silver thread. It heads for the void where the music is loud and soft and light shocks you with golden visions of star fires and poetic combustions.

The week begins with Mercury’s ingress into the sign of Pisces (6:38am ET) where it will station retrograde on February 16. The Moon enters Gemini early Monday and travels here Tuesday  and Wednesday morning. Mercury’s ingress should be quite noticeable because of the Mercury-ruled Moon. We get a little bit of a ”mutable kick”. Things are shifting and it might be hard to keep your eyes on a moving target. It’s a busy start to the week. Venus in Pisces sextile Saturn in Capricorn on Monday afternoon, and could persuade us to be reasonable for a second. However we are heading toward totally uncharted territory…willingly.

Late Tuesday night, Mercury in Pisces sextile Uranus in Taurus. This aspect will take place again on March 21st. It’s an important marker for something that begins now could take you all the way to the Equinox. Mercury and Uranus are both associated with communication and how ideas travel. Mercury connects the dots, but in Pisces there is no linear framework. It’s all over the place, it’s imaginative, psychic, dreamy and inspired. Uranus is the direct cable to the zeitgeist and beyond. Uranus is plugged in to what’s buzzing on the horizon. Mercury sextile Uranus this week is your opportunity to put a finger on the pulse of things to come. You can look at where Pisces and Taurus sits in your chart to have a better idea of possible themes playing out in your life.

Venus reaches the degree of her exaltation on Wednesday at 27º Pisces where she is said to have great magnetizing potential. Venus in the last few degrees of Pisces will be clear of malefic (mainly Saturn and Pluto) and is excellent for love, beauty, and other pleasurable indulgence. The Moon will travel through the Water sign of Cancer Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and half the day Friday. We could be holding on to the familiar and the safe with one hand while turning the Wheel of Destiny with the other hand.

Venus leaves Pisces early Friday morning and enters the sign of Aries where she will transit until March 4th. Venus changing signs from her exalted place to her place of detriment is quite significant. Things which fall under Venus’s rulership like relationships could undergo significant adjustments as there will be less desire to compromise.

The Moon enters the sign of Leo Friday evening and the Full Moon in Leo takes place late Saturday night/early Sunday morning depending on where you live. The Moon in Leo will oppose the Sun in Aquarius illuminating the dichotomy between our desires to be seen in a certain light, versus the desire to break free from the mold entirely.

It’s a busy week with changing narratives and nothing set in stone. With Mars still in Sagittarius, Venus’s ingress in Aries on Friday, and the Full Moon in Leo Saturday night, the end of the week contains some power to fuel our desires and ambitions. However, with Mercury entering Pisces, plus Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn we could be torn between our reason and our intuition.

“The man who cannot visualize a horse galloping on a tomato is an idiot.”

Andre Breton

Infinite connections intertwined into the fascia of the world creating a highly sophisticated network of electrical languages left to discover even though everyone already knows about it through their bodies and their hearts. Day and night and in-between, consciousness is busy sending information between the spaces of matter separated because time made it so as we try to break free from it. A pressurized experience of the body as it reshape itself to fit through the anticipated wiring that will charge up the engine that plows the earth tilling old skeletons and unfinished business to the surface to create a rich soil for the future to grow into ancient Gods. Water is the matter to contend with and the crux of the equation as it shapes the contours of this world and infuse everything with a song that is chanted drop by drop. Perspective is a matter of perspective.

This week we are moving towards a really nice ”perspective widening” New Moon in Aquarius on Friday afternoon. (16:46 EST) that should help shake off the recent heaviness that came along with Capricorn season. The Sun entered Aquarius Monday morning at 9:55am and will travel here until February 18. The Sun in Aquarius signals a time when we can start to conceptualize and envision new and innovative scenarios for the year ahead after a period of heavy realization, especially in regards to our material realities and its current limitations.
The Sun in Aquarius squaring Uranus in Taurus all week could dislodge or challenge old patterns and security needs. Priorities are changing and even though we could feel the pressure to keep our current structures and safety nets, we can also intuit that things are not going back to the way they were, and we have to keep moving. This is also a major contrast created by big players Uranus, Saturn and Pluto transiting in Earth signs challenging our material realities, our bodies and the status quo.

The Moon in Sagittarius on Monday gives some heat and momentum to begin the week but will square Neptune in Pisces late Monday evening and then will remain void of course until she enters Capricorn January 22nd at 12:01am creating a sort of ”in-between” window where time could feel somewhat suspended. The Moon is also waning until Friday and in her darkest phase which is great for cleansing, disseminating, finishing projects and decluttering physical space and mental body. There is significant momentum contained in the New Moon on Friday but we have to move through the darkness especially while she travels through Capricorn and meet Saturn and Pluto on Thursday night. The impetus for change and novelty is not born out of nowhere but it’s the contrast of the old structures against the new visions that creates the tension. Patience and hard work is required to handle changing realities and meet our Fate.

The Moon enters Aquarius Friday morning and meet the Sun at 16:42 EST. The New Moon in Aquarius will be in a tight square to Uranus in Taurus sending a powerful need for sovereignty over our lives. It could be difficult to meet the demands made on us at this time. Give yourself some space to experiment at the end of the week and don’t schedule too heavily.

As we enter Aquarius season and shake off the heaviness of the recent weeks, Venus in Pisces is busy applying to a square with Mars in Sagittarius which is exact on Sunday. Both planets in mutable signs will contribute to a feeling of changing circumstances. The Moon enters Pisces on Sunday evening and it could feel like nothing is set in stone. It’s best to keep your options open at this time. Have a plan but be flexible enough to adapt quickly. Need and desire, heart and mind could all be asking for very different things right now and that’s totally ok. Going with the flow might be the best medicine for these type of skies.

With Uranus being such a big player this week stay alert for quickly changing circumstances or solutions and insights coming from seemingly nowhere.

“History is not the soil in which happiness grows.
The periods of happiness in it are the blank pages of history.”

Georg Wilhelm Hegel

The finest workers in stone are not copper or steel tools, but the gentle touches of air and water working at their leisure with a liberal allowance of time.

-Henry David Thoreau

The week begins with Mercury’s ingress into the sign of Sagittarius after having been in Scorpio since October 3rd. This should lighten the mood especially since Mercury is ruling the Full Moon in Gemini on Thursday night. Stale situations will get a chance to get aired out and new scenarios/dialogues can develop quickly. It’s a creative week overall, breezy, buzzing, rut-breaking, innovative (especially later this week) if you can move beyond the status anxiety, fears of inadequacy, and heavy realism brought to you by all the Capricorn planets. Two very distinct threads weaving themselves throughout the week.

With Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and Pluto currently transiting in Capricorn we could feel weighted down by responsibilities and ”what must be done”. This is also emphasize by Jupiter currently ruling the Sun in Sagittarius into a tame and responsible centaur. Venus conjunct Saturn early Wednesday morning brings a reality check regarding relationships, money, beauty, art, pleasure and all other venusian matters. Our attention is on what offers us tangible sustenance, authenticity, gravitas, maturity. We might be inclined toward a conservative approach right now, and value what has endured the test of time. Venus-Saturn can feel sobering as our attention turns toward long-term investments in the pursuits of our goals. This is evident at the beginning of the week with the Moon in Taurus ruled by Venus in Capricorn.

The Moon enters Gemini Tuesday morning (11:48am EST) and the Full Moon culminates late Wednesday/early Thursday morning shining her light on communications, thoughts, ideas, and the various modalities we use to convey our messages. We could feel stimulated by recent conversations or experiences. The Full Moon brings exciting new developments but also concludes the Mercury in Scorpio chapter. The Gemini Full Moon highlighting recent thought processes that could of felt polarizing and an awareness of how our exchanges with others shape our thoughts, our beliefs, and by extension our realities.

It could feel like nothing is set in stone and nothing is moving fast enough as we try to reconcile traditions and make space for innovations in our lives. It’s all about slow and deliberate progress right now, but it’s important to keep looking forward. Be patient about the things you cannot change while plowing away at your bigger goals. Integrate the new modalities and ideas that are making their way into your life and your mind at the moment; don’t resist the change and the visions wanting to emerge at this time.

The week gets relatively more sentimental by Thursday night when the Moon enters the sign of Cancer and oppose Jupiter in Capricorn while Chiron turns direct and Mars in Scorpio trine Neptune in Pisces. We could find ourselves softening, opening up, and looking to transcend all the recent talking and mental pursuits with something more ephemeral, moody, creative, heart-centered and soothing. With the Moon in Cancer while Chiron stations direct in Aries, conversation around vulnerability could surface.

The Moon enters Leo Saturday night (22:57 EST) stoking the fires in preparation for Jupiter/Uranus trine happening early on Sunday. The day has an enthusiastic momentum helping us look ahead. We might still have to contend with some unpleasant realities but Sunday is festive and favours warm pleasant exchanges, brainstorming, creativity, and playfulness.

Truth has to be given in riddles. People can’t take truth if it comes charging at them like a bull. The bull is always killed. You have to give people the truth in a riddle, hide it so they go looking for it and find it piece by piece; that way they learn to live with it.
