Out of perfection nothing can be made.
Every process involves breaking something up.
Joseph Campbell

And just like that, Virgo season is here, and this is definitely one of the most grounding time of the year when we can see the results and the reasons of the past. Not only do we have a stellium in Virgo (stellium: 4 or more planets in the same sign), the New Moon on Friday August 30th is positively supported by Uranus in Taurus. It is a time of traction and implementation for what is being birthed in your life. The new structures that are emerging on the horizon are starting to make sense and you can begin to see the tangible manifestations of your long held visions, the birth of a new awareness, a new reality.

The wish you whispered half consciously under your breath while sleeping is surrounding you. The faint light that guided you through the storm is now your illumination. There is a clarity about the events in your life and a reason for everything. Nothing is perfect but you might be able to accept that all the imperfect decisions has led you exactly where you are.

Witness your powers of manifestation for better or for worst.

Until the new moon in Virgo on Friday, we stand in the liminal darkness of the waning Moon, the dark of the Moon. Slowdown your pace, reflect, contemplate, clean, cleanse, purge, stretch, create space for the wisdom to enter, collect the strength from the Earth, lay low.

Monday: Moon in Cancer
Tuesday: Moon in Cancer – Moon enters Leo at 21:23 NDT
Wednesday: Moon in Leo
Thursday: Moon in Leo – Moon enters Virgo at 21:27 NDT
Friday: New Moon in Virgo 8:07am NDT
Saturday: Moon in Virgo – Moon enters Libra at 20:37 NDT
Sunday: Moon in Libra

The New Moon in Virgo takes place on Friday August 30th at 8:07am NDT/6:37am EDT. The New Moon signals the beginning of the work, a time of creation and implementation, of ”to-do” lists, of tangibility and manifestation, a time of taking advantage of the resources available to you, utilizing your space and body properly and efficiently. All the small actions that leads to the whole, it’s happening now. Your breath, the way you chew your food, your digestion, your posture. The superfluous will seem extra superfluous while you find a purpose for everything. Each little things in their place, there is a place for everything, and no space wasted.

The New Moon is linked to the revolutionary ways in which you approach the ordinary. Set your intentions, but don’t set them to high as to be discouraged. Plant your intentions in the realm of the possible, the tangible, the practical, something that will yield a satisfactory result down the road, every step counts, every action has meaning.

Wood sculpture by Yoshitoshi Kanemaki

“Your thoughts, become your words;
your words, become actions;
your actions, become habits;
your habits, become your character;
your character,  becomes your destiny.”

He, who every morning plans the transactions of the day, and follows that plan,
carries a thread that will guide him through a labyrinth of the most busy life.
Victor Hugo

The week begins with the Moon in Aires. The Moon enters Taurus Wednesday at 00:38 EDT and will travel though Taurus until Friday morning when the Moon enters Gemini at 10:34am. The last quarter Moon happens at 0º Gemini, officially initiating the mutable Earth season with the Sun having just entered Virgo. The Moon travels through Gemini until late Sunday afternoon when it enters Cancer at 17:05 EDT.

This week, with 3 planets moving from Leo to Virgo we are getting a good glimpse of what the next month has in store for us. Mars left the sign of Leo for Virgo early Sunday morning and Venus follows suit on August 21st, leaving the brazen fires of Leo for the humbling pastures of Virgo. On August 23rd, the Sun leaves its domicile of Leo to enter Virgo, officiating the Mutable Earth season. However, with Mercury (ruling planet of Virgo) still in Leo, we are holding onto the golden rays and royal ways, and not entirely dedicated to the practical applications of our vision until Mercury enters Virgo on August 29th.

Mars →Virgo: August 18 – 1:17am EDT
Venus →Virgo: August 21 – 5:06am EDT
Sun →Virgo: August 23 – 6:01am EDT

With the Sun’s ingress into the Earth sign of Virgo, we begin the process of sorting out what needs tending. Virgo season brings our attention and focus on the many task that lays ahead of us, illuminating what needs to be organized, smoothed, resolved and eliminated for us to find proper footing. With the heavy influence of the Earth element in the next few weeks, our attention will be on the practical and tangible ways in which we can establish order in our daily lives and in our bodies. Simplifying, streamlining, and putting back the tools in their proper place, becoming aware of all the little ways in which we are not yet fully efficient, proficient and perfect. Anxiety is a shadow that looms large over Virgoan-type people, for there is always ways in which one can improve themselves, and this process is never done. Quality resides in the critical eye for better or for worst. Perfection is not a burden for the artisan, but a guiding principle informing his repetitive actions which over time becomes the perfect object. Practice makes perfect as they say.

This year, we have a tight alignment of planets in the sign of Virgo which does not happen every year. This should greatly intensify the influence of the sign on our daily lives. Virgo is one of the three Earth signs considered in astrology to be primarily focused on the tangible and the practical necessities of material reality, the other two being Taurus and Capricorn.

Since we already have Uranus transiting in Taurus and Saturn/Pluto/South Node in Capricorn, the ingress of Mars, Venus and the Sun into the sign of Virgo this week will saturate the skies with planets in Earth signs. During the next few weeks, our attention will turn towards our material reality and how to improve it. We could find ourselves busy creating order out of the chaotic and disparate parts of our lives in order to improve it and be more productive. Productivity will be high on the priority list and you could find yourself overwhelmed with the work load while juggling all of your responsibilities. Procrastination will create more anxiety and I have seen many Virgo-type characters driving themselves mad with anxiety and stress while procrastinating. Don’t shy away from the work you have to do as this will surely release some of the inner tension.

This week, the transition of three planets from Leo to Virgo will be quite obvious as we find ourselves moving from the Fixed Fire season to the Mutable Earth season. In the Northern Hemisphere, Virgo season announces the end of Summer and the transition towards Fall. The preparation required for the return of the cold and the waning of the light prompts us to organize ourselves, and it is a time of movement and busy-ness. The structures in our lives will be vitalized and it’s a great time to organize your space and make it more functional. In the next couple of weeks, the emphasis is on our physical reality and tending to the smaller details of our existence like our body and our environment. However, the possibility of scattering ourselves through too many projects/avenues or being overly critical and preoccupied with perfection is a tendency to watch for during the next few weeks. It’s a good idea to temper the critical voice within you, and use this time to get ahead.

The week begins with the Moon in Capricorn prompting us to roll up our sleeves, and get to work before the Moon goes VOC (void of course) at 18:12 Monday evening leaving the books open for debate and casting some doubts and worries on our current situation.

The Moon enters Aquarius Tuesday at 11:35am EDT. The Moon remains in Aquarius Wednesday, waxing towards Full. The Full Moon in Aquarius will be exact early Thursday morning at 8:29am EDT. A good amount of effort is necessary right now if we are to fulfill our vision. The status-quo is not good enough and the future remains unseen. The Full Moon in Aquarius could illuminate important information, allowing you to plan a course of action.

Thursday evening, the Moon enters Pisces, exact at 23:49 EDT and travels here until Sunday when she enters Aries at 12:32pm. The end of the week casts a dreamy glow on our reality as we release our grip and trust that everything is happening as it should. Take advantage of Friday and Saturday when the Moon is in Pisces to let yourself be inspired, playful and accept what is.

The Moon enters action-oriented Aries Sunday afternoon, less than 12 hours after Mars enters Virgo (exact Sunday at 1:18am). Sunday afternoon could see us planning and organizing with little patience left for Summer pleasures. We could feel extremely ambitious, perhaps a little bit scattered or nit-picky, but motivated to get moving.

A rich amount of hope is available at the moment, and the sweetness of Summer is keeping us in a good mood. Jupiter rising high after sunset is the promise of wish granted as we aim for the prize. Jupiter in Sagittarius until late November is allowing far reaching vision and current setbacks should not deter you from your path. Faith is the fuel that powers the engine so keep your eyes on the far reaching horizon and the potential hidden in your original idea. Trust that opportunities are waiting to be discovered.

Venus in Leo conjunct the Sun on Wednesday at 2:07am EDT only a few hours before the Full Moon in Aquarius. The Sun and Venus significations mingle as they meet, revealing how we might reach what our heart most desire. The union of Venus with the Sun in Leo is the peak expression of the self – reflected. We see ourselves special, everywhere translated through the reflections of the happenings that surrounds us. Validation ignites the egoic fires as we dance our special little dance. We are in love with ourselves, seeking only to be declared the one and only one, the incomparable and immeasurable best. Our reign supreme will not last as we quickly are confronted by the Full Moon in Aquarius shining a bright light on the selfish and childish nature of our desires. Realizing that the Earth continues turning even when we sleep, the Full Moon in Aquarius illuminates the spectacle for what it is; a demanding and monstrous little child. In the process of wanting the best of the best for ourselves, we must also understand the repercussions of our self-involvement on others and the world at large.

By putting ourselves out there, our reasons and motivations become crystalline and onlookers who cannot do the same, are filled with disdain for the brave and regal displays. It is up to us to differentiate between narcissism and self-expression as everyone secretly long for the golden rays of Love to reach them. Are we mere consumers or are we creators?

SATURN, the traditional ruler of Aquarius and by extension the Full Moon on Thursday morning, is retrograde in Capricorn, 3 degrees away from the South Node of the Moon and sextile Neptune in Pisces: This period of time, highlights the unstable structures in which we seek comfort but that are totally crumbling. We are somewhat still stuck in our old habits perhaps even deluding ourselves about the solidity of their foundations. We are living in a hologram of what WAS, migrating reluctantly towards what will BE.

URANUS, the modern ruler of Aquarius,  is also retrograde at the time of the Full Moon in the sign of Taurus and squaring Mercury in Leo. Mercury is sitting at 4 degrees Leo, the exact degree where it stationed retrograde on July 8th: These aspects suggest that there are totally new elements being integrated in our lives and we need to completely re-think the ways in which we operate. Novelty and innovations are favoured and we must make the effort to step outside of our comfort zone if we are to make progress.

The fact that both traditional and modern rulers of this Full Moon in Aquarius are retrograde suggest that nothing is given right now as we stand between the old ways and the new ways not yet birthed. Things will take some time and we are not out of the woods quite yet.

The week begins with the Moon in Libra until it enters Scorpio on Tuesday signalling the First Quarter Moon. The Moon enters Sagittarius on Thursday, and remains on the archer’s territory until early Sunday morning when it enters Capricorn. The First Quarter Moon is a time of action and momentum when we are challenged to implement what was seeded at the New Moon and push forward.

Passion burns hot this week as we move deeper into Leo season and straight into the heart of summer. The Sun in the second decan of Leo is bright indeed and Venus blinded by the rays inches closer and closer to the royal throne. By August 14, Venus will disappear completely into the Sun purifying herself in a baptism of light, rebirthing as an evening ”star”. The Sun and Venus in Leo will set the mood this week with loud and colourful roars and regal displays. Pride and affection for what we have created, what we have become, what we value and love is sure to be a theme. We might be moved to expose the content of our heart’s joys for all to see while other folks might dowse themselves in just-a-little-bit too much perfume.

The Sun in Leo is moving towards a trine with Jupiter in Sagittarius (exact on Wednesday) and this should give us the ability to say YES more. This easy going and joyful sky is giving us plenty of reasons to celebrate life and make the difficult things a little bit easier to bare. Jupiter stations direct on August 11 after moving retrograde since April 10, 2019. On the same day, Mercury enters Leo and Uranus stations retrograde in Taurus creating a lot of momentum which culminates on Sunday. The Moon entering Sagittarius on Thursday (Jupiter’s day) gives the signal to launch the fireworks, release the helium balloons, cut the red ribbon, and trust that it will all work out. There is a hopeful quality that permeates the week and it is an excellent time to gain perspective on what remains to be accomplished while elevating your standards. Fill your engine to the brim with the potentiality latent in your dreams and aim higher. This is a time of joy, faith and courage; send your prayers and show gratitude accordingly.

Mercury re-enters the Lion’s den on Sunday at 15:45 EDT after having turned retrograde here in Leo before moving back into the sign of Cancer for most of July. If there is still a faint tinged of longing permeating our minds this week, it will definitely subside by Sunday. The radio stations which until now played a series of nostalgic and sappy songs will now be showcasing ”The Greatest Hits of all Time”. Mercury can be persuasive in the sign of Leo especially when supported by Jupiter. If you have to sell your salad ( convince someone), now and in the next few weeks is a good time to do so. You can expect however that everyone at the market will also have the best salad to sell; you could find yourself shouting in order to be heard.

The Fixed season of Leo is a time of conviction and this year Jupiter in Sagittarius is boosting the signal. Depending on natal disposition some folks might be totally blinded by their beliefs, their pride, and their ideas. Moderate the enthusiasm with healthy dose of reflection before launching headfirst into a debate or a venture. Measured risk and optimism will be rewarded while hubris and arrogance could alienate others but overall, it’s an excellent week.

The month of July ends with a New Moon in Leo which will be exact at 23:12 EDT on July 31st. A few minutes later, Mercury stations direct in Cancer after being retrograde since the 7th of July. The New Moon in Leo and Mercury direct initiates us into the month of August, on the other side of eclipse season and in the bright light of the Sun who is at home in the sign of Leo.

→ Look to where the New Moon in Leo is taking place in your birth chart to understand where the focus is  for this upcoming lunation. The Full Moon in Aquarius on August 14 will see a culmination in the opposite house to where Leo sits and you can expect the next few weeks to highlight both the Leo and Aquarius house topics in your chart.

After a month of gestation, we enter a period of rationality and brilliance which will allow us to study in clear daylight, the pearls of wisdom that were birthed in the eclipses shadows. The intuitive epiphanies regarding certain roadblocks and detours inherited from the past, and the revelations contained in our personal biographies can now be observed with a certain lucid detachment as a fresh chapter emerges on the horizon. The page is blank, the fruits are ripped, and fresh intentions are being initiated with the conviction that we really do deserve the best of the best.

Honour and pride is on the menu in the first half of August. Leo season is a time of courage and conviction, of stepping up to the plate and having the guts of embodying your role with confidence. Now is a time for recognizing your accomplishments, your worth, and to show up with your best face on, trusting that you know exactly how its done.

Shimmering sparkles arising from the light – hypnotizing with a fiery glow – a magnetizing charisma containing the warmth of love and attraction. Thirsty, the seeker extends a hand towards the object of power –  hoping to catch its radiance and become a God.

Jupiter stations direct in Sagittarius on August 11, after being retrograde since mid-April and this should help boost our confidence level. On the same day, Mercury enters Leo setting the ego ablaze as Uranus turn retrograde in Taurus until next eclipse season in January 2020.

The Full Moon in Aquarius takes place on August 14, just as Venus in Leo reaches her superior conjunction moving behind the Sun. This marks the time when Venus transition from the morning to evening sky. Venus will be visible as a bright evening “star” in the sky after sunset in September and October 2019.

The Full Moon in Aquarius brings a culmination in regards to our own needs and desires versus the desires of the whole. Certain people might be accused of selfishness during this time as we try to reconcile our values with the values of others. Venusian matters will certainly be on our mind in mid-August and a division could be felt in regards to the practical versus the superfluous. We might feel more indulgent and deserving and this could create some friction with others who are also trying to get their piece of cake. Brash and dramatic displays of superiority are also possible as egos collide; even if you know best, you might not be heard in the cacophony of roars.

Mars enters Virgo on August 18, followed by Venus on August 21st, and the Sun on August 23rd. The second half of the month will contain a lot more planets in Earth elements bringing pragmatism to our ambitions, and practical steps to reach our goals. The heated passions being felt in the first weeks of August will find proper outlets by the end of the month as we slowly come back down to Earth with the gifts of Fire. The last week of August sees a Mars/Venus conjunction in Virgo supported by a trine to Uranus; you will know exactly what to do and how to do it.

Love and passion, passion and beauty, beauty and lust, lust and novelty, novelty and pleasure, pleasure and discovery, discovery and freedom, freedom and connection, connection and soul.

The New Moon in Virgo takes place early on August 30th at 6 degrees of Virgo signalling fresh momentum in the part of your chart where Virgo is located. This should be a fantastic lunation to organize and take care of details that were ignored in the last few months. Delineating a schedule or a plan for your goals should help relieve some of the anxiety. It could feel like a lot needs to be done and September promises to be a good month to get on track. Organization will be high on the priority list and a clear action-plan will support your efforts towards reaching your objectives. The New Moon in Virgo trining Uranus, carries the promise of self-sufficiency born out of efforts.

July will see 3 major astrological happenings mainly: Mercury retrograde in Leo/Cancer and, two eclipses in Cancer/Capricorn.

Art by Tomislav Jagnjic

Mercury will station retrograde in Leo on July 7th and move back into the sign of Cancer on July 19th. Mercury stations direct on July 31st. This means that we have to contend with Mercury retrograde for the whole month of July.

Simply knowing this will make it a lot easier already. Rule of thumbs during Mercury retrogrades are: No major purchases, commitments and signing contracts if possible, but if you have to, don’t sweat it, it’s meant to be that way. Lay low if you can, and wait until August for major decisions or commitments. On a mundane level, the news will probably be far more fear-inducing than usual so if you can unplug for the month, do it!

The New Moon in Cancer on July 2nd is a total solar eclipse and the Full Moon in Capricorn on July 19th is a partial lunar eclipse.

Eclipse season is a time of change and movement which often contains unforeseen elements. It’s not necessarily negative or positive but eclipses are associated with new elements being introduced in the picture while other ones are being removed. These can range from small to major occurrences. Not everyone will be affected the same way, and it really depends on your birth chart. Look at where Cancer and Capricorn sits in your chart.

People who have the Sun/Moon or their Ascendant(rising sign) in Cancer or Capricorn will be the ones handling this astrological weather the most in July.

The time between eclipses, is considered a liminal space. If you add the Mercury retrograde to the mix, July and especially mid-July is not a super good time to make major decisions as it will be more of a transitional space with some back and forth re-visiting/re-shaping/re-questioning and all the *re* associated with Mercury retrograde.

All this heavy lifting happening on the Cancer-Capricorn axis (this year) and in July is bringing some understanding in regards to the structures in our lives and how they sustain us, or fail to do so. There is a lot of anxiety and fears associated with security, nourishment, the ecological crisis (our mother Gaia who sustains us (Cancer), and how the system (Capricorn) is failing us. On a personal level, people are working on healing themselves through understanding generational trauma, doing ancestral work and getting at the roots of some of their emotions.

Time and time management is also on the radar and we are super aware of where and who is waisting our time. We are de-constructing the structures that are not sustaining/nourishing/supportive. Before we are able to build stronger foundations, we have to deal with a lot of garbage and darkness personally but also on a societal level. Ultimately, I think this process also brings genuine healing and connections to our roots, our deep past but also closer to our tribe within and without.

WEEK OF JUNE 24th, 2019

Happy Monday,

We begin the week with the last residues of the Moon in Pisces clouding our thoughts and creating a lack of groundedness. It will get better as the week progress but today (Monday) will be characterized by a certain lack of focus or direction. It could be a bit more difficult to keep your momentum going as we are still swimming in this weekend’s fog and rêveries. There is a lot of creativity and ideas floating around but it could be difficult to get real traction going to begin the week.

The sign of Cancer being ruled by the Moon means that this time of year is influenced by the ebb and flow of our moods, our energy level rising and falling like the tides of the Ocean.

The Moon enters Aries late Monday evening(22:38 EDT) signalling the last quarter Moon and giving us a little bit more Fire to work with. Tuesday morning could see you take stock of everything that still needs to be accomplished, making you feel somewhat insecure about the amount of work needed to get there.

Wednesday morning, the Moon in Aries will basically square all of the planets on on the Capricorn/Cancer axis prompting us to really take stock of where we are at.

By mid-week, there could still be a lack of groundedness or direction but reality’s requirements will prompt us to take concrete steps regardless. Pushed by deadlines and responsibilities, time is of the essence and it might feel like time is slipping out of your hands.

Wednesday evening (20:19EDT), Mercury leaves the sign of Cancer and enters the sign of Leo fuelling the Fires of our ambitions: With Mercury entering Leo our thoughts and ideas will get bigger and bolder inflating expectations. It is important to understand motivations right now as Mercury will turn retrograde in just a few weeks, prompting us to revisit some of what is being implemented right now.

Thursday, the Moon enters Taurus at 9:33am EDT anchoring us in our material reality. Thursday and Friday brings a focus on security and comfort:

Feeding your body and choosing the right ingredients could become more important. Food in general could occupy more of your consciousness wether you are planning a picnic with friends, tending your garden or selecting premium ingredients that will bring maximum health to your body. Food can be a source of pleasure and vitality right now and we might be more inclined to want to share a meal with friends and loved ones.

Pierrot entertaining in the garden, Louis Adolphe Tessier, 1855-1911

Friday and Saturday will be good for tackling our immediate surrounding, finishing projects around the house, spending time outside.

Saturday evening, the Moon enters Gemini, highlighting Mercury’s recent ingress in the sign of Leo.

Even though next weekend is characterized by the dark of the Moon (a time of rest before the new lunar month begins on July 2nd) anticipation of Summer’s pleasures could be bubbling just under the surface.

We could feel more inclined to go out, socialize and enjoy ourselves with the Moon in Gemini buzzing in the sky and the sweetness of these long Summer nights.

Have a fantastic week!

Some things to consider when reading an astrological interpretation

Astrological interpretations wether natal or predictive are some of the multitude possible ways in which higher and lower expressions of the Astrologies can manifest. Most of the time, these are interpreted through a human(astrologer). This means that astrology is first filtered through the personal subjective understanding and experiences of the person doing the interpretations.

Even though there is a general consensus and standard of interpretation on the meaning of this complex language amongst astrologers, when it comes to understanding and assimilating the language, each person will have its own unique experiences with it.

Astrology, being an archetypal, participatory and symbolic language of a divinatory nature means that ”transits” or ”astrological patterns” have a multitude of ways in which they can show up for YOU in your life.

You can actively “attune” yourself to the language in order to benefit from its highest expressions, or simply be a witness to the tides that regulate your Fate. However it does take a little bit of practice to get use to the language and requires participation on your part.

Fate means that things and circumstances will happen to you outside of our control.
Free-will means that you can decide how to react to these things and circumstances and more extensively choose how to best utilize the cards that Fate has given you.

Knowing and understand Astrology can help you take a step back and gain perspective on the events in your life while simultaneously allowing you to have more control over your reactions and decisions.

So when it comes to reading astrological delineations, keep in mind that these things can show up in subtle ways for some while being text book for others. This often comes down to how much we resonate with the Astrologer doing the interpretations, our own birth chart and how much we use our own archetypal eyes. Once you are attuned to the language, astrology becomes an indispensable tool.

Summer Solstice

Solstice blessings to you on the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere (shortest one in the Southern Hemisphere). We are halfway through the year already!

Just a few updates for those of you who are inclined to use Astrology for timing purposes:

→→The Sun enters the sign of Cancer at 11:54am EDT officially signalling the beginning of Summer on this side of the globe.

→→Neptune, the ”boundary-transcending” planet is stationing retrograde at 10:36am and will station direct on November 27th, 2019. Since Neptune is an Outer Planet (far from us/the Earth), its retrograde motion might not be directly obvious to you, unless it is specifically aspecting an important place in your birth chart but will not go into detail here.

→→The Moon is in Aquarius until it enters Pisces Saturday at 10:02am.

→→The Moon will be in Pisces for the rest of the weekend until it enters Aries Tuesday at 12:07am EDT.

The weekend is highly ”Mutable” and under the spell of a Jupiter-Neptune-Venus T-square which might sound intimidating but is actually pretty sweet if you can move along with it:

Venus in Gemini is currently applying to oppose Jupiter in Sagittarius and square Neptune in Pisces. This was more or less ON all week but it is peaking over the weekend, triggered by the Moon traveling through Pisces:

Big ideas/visions generating a lot of inner or outer dialogues at the moment. If you are a creator, an artist, a romantic, a visionary, an inspired preacher, a writer, a lover, a connector of worlds and basically a HUMAN, the next few days could be really inspiring. Write it down, get moving on some of your ideas and enjoy drinking at this bountiful spring. It could be easier to see the potentiality around you right now so take advantage of it, experience it, bask in it.

The lower end of the current transits could be linked to dealing with addiction problems or unhealthy indulgence, disillusionment, rose-coloured glasses or romanticizing a bad situation, having difficulty reconciling reality with expectations, magical or wishful thinking at the detriment of taking the proper action.

Music, cinema, poetry and images can have a particular appeal under these skies so its a good time to get lost in works of fiction.

Things can feel a little bit more romantic or mystical as we cross this special time of the year and its a good time to adjust your compass and your vision and zoom in on the things that brings you joy, and inspiration beyond the limits of the material.

WEEK OF JUNE 17th, 2019: Solstice week

The week begins with a Full Moon in Sagittarius that culminated very early this morning.
Look at where Sagittarius sits in your birth chart and more extensively the sign of Cancer to understand where the momentum is picking up in your life.

The weekend was fuelled by the Sagittarius Moon peaking to Full and this could of seen you entertain many new avenues, dialogues and BIG ideas over the weekend. Aah the possibilities! Necessity is leading us down interesting roads at the moment and you could feel like there are lots more possibilities (and responsibilities) than you originally thought possible and renewed energy to accomplish your goals.

The weekend’s enthusiasm wanes by Monday afternoon as the Moon enters the sobering sign of Capricorn; the size of your ambitions is equal to the amount of work that lays ahead. Monday and Tuesday are good days to roll up your sleeves and put-in the efforts that are required to get some work done.

The Moon will be in Capricorn until late Wednesday evening, triggering the tension on the Cancer-Capricorn axis. Wednesday is especially tense: weigh your words carefully before sending ultimatums.

Power struggles and intense exchanges are possible mid-week: acknowledging, and releasing tension towards creative and productive outlets could do wonders. The Moon in Capricorn can induce status anxiety in some people, and it’s a good idea to step away from comparing yourself to the success and achievements of others. Compromising your integrity could be problematic down the road so revise your motivations. Insecurities must be dealt with honestly.

The Moon enters Aquarius late Wednesday night, and will be in Aquarius Thursday and Friday offering some objectivity and vision to work with.

The Sun enters the sign of Cancer Friday at 11:54am EDT which signals the Summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere as we reach the longest day of the year.

The Moon enters Pisces next Saturday morning supporting the Sun in Cancer while we are under the spell of a Venus-Jupiter opposition all of next weekend. This pleasure-seeking Mutable T-square between the Moon/Neptune,Venus and Jupiter could diffuse some tension and colour the weekend with romantic and dreamy blues.

Next weekend is Watery and Mutable which could also be anxiety inducing if you don’t know how to swim in the deeper undercurrent of your psyche, however extremely creative and fertile if you can let go and let these currents guide you.

This week, we move between the imaginative and poetic waters of the heart and the austere and unforgiving edges of our rational mind. The changing tides of our desires collide against necessity, forcing us to find new and creative ways to navigate our situation. It doesn’t stop here as we have for mission to retrieve a pearl and in those changing waters, we must find a good spot to dive in.

It could feel both exhilarating and tense while you move deeper into this new landscape. The Waters are filled with foreign shapes and reliefs which inspire awe and wonder, or fear and anxiety depending on the state of your inner compass. The ocean is vast and clues are filtering-in through a confusing and inspiring mélange of visions and fantasies. Can you decipher this foreign language? Can you find the pearls in these troubled waters? Are you motivated by fear or by some higher guiding principle? Can you differentiate the call of the heart from the hypnotizing lure of the sirens?

Wishing you a soft and magical Solstice week
