Venus in Gemini ☐ Neptune in Pisces

Venus is in the sign of Gemini and will transit here until August 7th. That’s a really longtime for Venus to be in one sign. Venus will station retrograde mid-May and will be moving backward through almost the entire sign of Gemini before stationing direct on June 25th.

On May 3rd, Venus will square Neptune in Pisces. This is an aspect that will occur again on May 20th and July 27th.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the square between Venus and Neptune as it will colour much of the month of May.

Neptune is sometime said to be the ‘’higher octave’’ of Venus which can translate as an idealization of the Venusian principles. Pleasure, Beauty, Aesthetics, Music, Cinema, and Love ect… can become the transcending mediums in which we experience the mystical, supernatural and trans-inducing influences of Neptune.

Venus in Gemini is all about the beauty of ideas communicated into words. Like the exchange of concepts and opinions with others, and the ability to hold contradictory perspectives in one’s mind. Desires are in constant motion, and curiosity is awaken by multiplicity. It reminds me of the way we connect with others via social media. Having this constant thread of exchanges, relationships, and ongoing conversations via a multitude of platforms.

Because of the current state of the world, we’ve all become way more glued to our phones (as if this was possible) and with the internet. A lot of varied opinions and speculations are circulating in a 24/7 dialogues involving billions of people. We are learning, socializing, and working online.

I think the influence of social media, the internet and more extensively our phones will be a big part of what this Venus retrograde will bring out. I imagine the upcoming Venus/Neptune square as the collective information trance we are all experiencing while becoming more entrenched in the virtual world.
