What do you imagine in your minds eye when you hear the word: collective unconscious?
We all have our ideas of the underlying layer that regulates our existence. Some words that comes to mind are: the field, the energy, the chi, prana, source, God, connecting all that is alive like a giant psychic octopus with millions of tentacles. Accessing this ”flow” can be done through meditation, yoga, dreams, drugs, or anything that will take you outside of the ”rational linear views” of reality. Some people (usually with a strong Neptune emphasis in their chart) have permanent access to this oceanic landscape. The lure of this all encompassing wisdom is strong in some, and lifetimes can be spent trying to return to the comfort of the dream.
We are currently building up to a square (90º angle) between Mercury in Gemini and Neptune in Pisces. The square will be exact tomorrow May 9th but we can consider this aspect LIVE.
Mercury is also in it’s shadow phase, preparing to go retrograde on May 18/19.
Mercury is responsible for the incoming information, the way we communicate to others and in general our logical thinking process. Neptune, the great dissolver of boundaries is concerned with spiritualizing our experience. Spreading a dense layer of smoke around the sharp contours of reality, so that we can see with the eyes of the heart.
Today and tomorrow, watch for confusion around words and messages not being delivered properly. Getting your point across might be pointless. What you say might get distorted by the time it reaches someone else’s ears. Confusion, mental fatigue, fuzzy thinking are possible side effects.
The prescription for a Mercury-Neptune square could be to: Let go of the usual dualistic perception (Gemini) of: me/others – good/bad. Dropping our linear ways of thinking or doing for a more meditative outlook. Allowing the higher wisdom to flow in and soak our experience. Listening to music, going to the art gallery, watching a movie, creating, writing poetry.
The Moon in Capricorn today might feel like you have mountains to climb, important things to accomplish, but you will have to pass through a dense layer of clouds to reach the peak!
